I personally didnt like this place. The only good thing was Dr. Barnes who was pretty nice. The only thing that kind of got to me about her was when she came into the room she kicked my purse to the side. I could of moved it if she would of just asked. The front desk was a joke. Not professional or welcoming at all. Connie was rude!! And when I questioned Sonia about my insurance she was the rudest of all. Just straight "ghetto" if I could put it into terms. Pointing her finger and moving her head. Wow!!! Thats professional. Ive never paid more than my 10 dollar co pay anywhere else and here I walked out paying a 60 dollar bill. They overprice and the service wasnt worth it. The optometric lab techs were the most ammusing of all. One of them was suppose to help me put my contacts in and how to sit them in the solution (Ive had contacts for 5 years) and when the dr. asked another one to direct me she got all mad and had major attitude. I never saw her smile once. I think her name was Heather. This whole place was rude and are out to take your money. I would look else where and save a good 50 bucks.

I dont usually respond to these type ratings because I when I do it would only be to reflect a very good and/or a very bad experience with the vendor. It seems everyone has his own definition of customer service and professionalism, so I dont take to heart what others experience; only what I experience and what I consider to be professional. I have been a patient of Dr. Barnes ever since since they were located in the other building. I have never had any negative feelings, or derogatory encounters with any of the staff. Do they charge too much! Of course. All my doctors do; but thats just my opinion! Claudia has always taken care of adjusting and cleaning my glasses with a smile, no matter how bad I had messed them up.

Awesome experience from start to finish. The staff was great from check-in through the pre-checks. Dr. Buttlar is outstanding! Very thorough and ensures all my questions are answered. After the appointment, the payment clerk knew exactly what my insurance covered and the co-payment. They have a great selection of frames for both eyeglasses and sunglasses. The professionals in that department again knew exactly what my insurance would cover and ensured I had the options I wanted. Glasses came in exactly when they said they would arrive. Highly recommend Dr. Buttlar and the entire staff at Schertz Vision Sourrce!

I have been going to the Schertz Vision Center for more than five years now and I can not tell you how happy I have been. Dr. Michelle Buttlar is absolutely the very best. I only see her once a year, but she remembers me each time I visit...really makes you feel comfortable. As busy as they always are, she takes the time necessary to explain what she is doing and the results of each test. This is a very nice facility with genuinely nice folks. If you do not have a current optometrist or if you are not happy with your current one, then I highly recommend the Schertz Vision Center...you will not be disappointed.

I have been seen by Drs. Barnes and Buttlar. My husband was seen by Dr. Nowlin. We were completely satisfied each time we have gone for our annual appointments. The front desk staff has always been personable, friendly and helpful, and we have always been greeted with a friendly smile. The lobby is attractive and comfortable with plenty of choices in eyewear on display. Our wait times to be seen have been minimal and close to or exactly at our scheduled appointment times. Taking good care of our vision is important; having an efficient doctor and friendly staff keeps us going back.

My husband and I both go here and have always been happy. I always see Dr. Buttlar and just love her. Shes so friendly and very thorough. The office staff has always been super nice and they take care of everything for me. They order my contacts, they fill out as much paperwork as they can. I usually have to just sign my name and pull out the debit card for a minimal charge. And Im never left waiting for long periods of time. Oh yeah, I love being able to schedule my appointment online too. Im picky about doctors and have no complaints about this office.

Horrible receptionist, first off all she put me on hold for 2 minutes and when she came back didnt even apologized and had a bad attitide. When I asked her I needed to make an appt. she referred me to do it online!! I told her that I wanted her to make it, because thats why she gets pay for, she then with a bad attitude put me on hold again. Plz Dr. Buttler, check on how your staff answers calls, remember, the person answering the calls is the first impression of your practice. I guess not to happy and respectful people working there!

I was Very disappointed in the staff here. I went to get my eyes checked and the doctor was amazingly nice. The staff seemed very knowledgeable but when one of the technicians was taking a picture of my eye she hurt my jaw. She kept grabbing my face roughly to turn it just right so the machine would work correctly. Also when I went to get my glasses the salesman was very snotty. You can be a professional but still act stuck up.I Dont care for the way I was treated and I will not go back even though the doctor was great. Sad

Im confident that my wife and I will get the eye care we need at Schertz Vision Source. Dr. Buttlar always refers us to an excellent specialist, if needed, for example for cataract surgery or for some in depth glaucoma examinations. New prescriptions for eye glasses from Dr. Buttlar have always been spot on and personnel in the optical section are always courteous and go the extra mile for me so that Ill have glasses Im happy with.

The staff is sincerely friendly and welcoming - good customer service. Dr. Barnes is proficient and professional - explains everything in detail and takes time to answer all your questions. The staff assisting you with selecting frames offers really good advice and go out of their way to assist you. This is one of, if not the best vision centers I have ever visited. Truly a great experience.

Our family has been going to Schertz Vision for years and we have always been treated very well! Dr. Barnes and Dr. Butler are the two providers we have seen and both have provided outstanding medical vision care and have been very professional! The rest of the staff has been awesome, as well, and I dont see a lot of turnover among the staff so that means they like who they work for!
