Dr. Shams is simply a fantastic, intelligent and caring Veterinarian. His staff is friendly and well trained, and the equipment in his lab and surgery center is the newest technology and state of the art. His office and exam rooms are clean, modern, well lit and put you and your pet at ease. We have a 10 year old Schnauzer, 3 year old Terrier and a 3 month old Golden Doodle, and Dr. Shams has taken excellent care of each of them in both routine and urgent care circumstances. We trust his judgment completely, and he takes the time to personally answer all of your questions. If you want to experience a “Lexus-level” of care for your animal, then I personally recommend that you visit Pet Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Shams, and experience it for yourself. The fact the Dr. Shams is open on Saturdays is a HUGE plus as well.

I have visited this clinic several times and am always pleased with the care my dogs receive. Dr. Shams is very personable and caring, and both of my dogs have become very fond of him. For this particular visit, they received their vaccines and had their teeth cleaned. Everyone involved in their care made this as painless as possible (for us and the dogs). Beforehand, my dogs were starting to develop foul smelling breath and stained teeth. Afterwards, their teeth were pearly white, and their breath smelled fresh. I could not ask for a more professional, caring, and loving veterinary clinic to tend to my dogs. I highly recommend this place to anyone living in the area.

I brought my Great Dane Scooby to Dr. Shams after he developed complications from a splint placed on him by another vet who repaired a broken toe. Scooby had developed an infection in his leg that the previous vet missed/didnt address after repeated visits and Scooby was at risk of losing his leg. Dr. Shams and his wonderful staff spent a week treating Scooby on site and saved the leg. I will never use another vet. Dr. Shams displays a great amount of professionalism. His facility is clean and well organized. And his staff is filled with wonderful people who genuinely cared for my dog. I will recommend Pet Veterinary Clinic to anyone who has a pet they love.

Found a stray kitten in the middle of the road. She was underweight and ill. Open Saturdays by appt only but they were able to fit me in. The Dr. Explained in detail everything they were doing for the kitten and The cost of everything they were going to give me and the prices were very reasonable. Very clean not a very large waiting area if for some reason there were several animals waiting they would be close and cramped but we didnt have to wait long at all and I never saw anyone else waiting. Everyone was directed to an exam room almost immediately. I actually use another vet thats not open all day Saturday but Im going to have to move my services here!

Very happy I brought my cat here. Wasnt sure what was wrong, but I knew something was off. Dr. Shams pinpointed the problem in less than a minute. He quickly got her fixed with necessary treatment and medication and she is feeling much better. Very kind and professional staff, and I was able to take a tour of the facility. It is top notch, from equipment, tools, to layout of the building. It was very well thought out. The boarding areas are great. I was surprised to see that some of the dog bays even had televisions in them for the pooches who are comforted by TV. Go see for yourself, youll be very happy with this clinic.

Absolutely LOVE this vet. I have been to several around tyler, just to see the doc for 2 mins and be rushed to leave. He sits down and does a full work up every time he sees your dog. I took my Georgie for dental cleaning today and was SO pleased. Not only was I impressed that the vet himself called when he was ready, but he came out to speak to me upon picking him up. He informed me that they do a free comprehensive health screening, including blood work when they do dental cleanings. He also cleaned Georgies ears, glands and clipped his nails free of charge. I HIGHLY recommend this vet to all of my friends.

If you are specifically looking for a place to board your dog this is probably not the best place. This facility is mainly for veternary care, which looks very congenial. The rooms for the dogs are too small for large breed dogs (40-100+ lbs). I didnt see barley any yard space for them to run around or use the bathroom. It was about the size of a large bedroom (maybe 200 sq ft). They are also not open on sundays and we were told someone comes and only lets them out twice that day. Again, the vet care looks good, but not appropriate for leaving your animal over nights.

Called and asked for help with two puppies that were in the middle of the road, one with a broken leg and INFESTED with fleas...no shelters are open on juneteenth...so, these puppies have to suffer even longer ..20 minutes before 6pm...er vet isnt open, they needed emmediate medical attention...these guys wouldnt even consider helpsing these pups out...they dont care about pets...they care about one thing...MONEY...

If you like a vet who will listen to you and answer all your crazy cat lady questions, then look no further! Dr. Shams is the man! Dr. Shams and his staff took my sick cat in when her own vet was busy closing early on a Wednesday. The office staff are great. Sweet. Courteous. Friendly. Dr. Shams saved my cats life. Period. That is equivalent to super hero status in my book. :)

We boarded our two dogs here for a week while we went on vacation. Our babies were very well taken care of! While we were gone we had Dr. Shams repair one of our dogs cherry eye. He did a great job! She looks beautiful!! The dog suits are pretty swanky with TVs! Thier prices are very affordable and the staff is very friendly and professional! I would recommend them to anyone!

I called them for a same day visit when my dog got a tick in her eyelid. She is a very high anxiety breed with lots of trust issues and has been known to bite vets in the past. We got there about 5:40 and they stayed open until almost 6:30 taking care of her. I highly recommend and will be back!
