I give this place 2 stars because of the prices and I have used this place for shots and it was all good till last year. My baby girl just had a litter of puppies that I had to help deliver. Her first litter. Having dealt with my other dog having a few litters I knew how my baby should be afterwards. For some reason she was not eating and drinking water. So after 1 day of no changes I decided to bring her here. The wait was no problem and the staff was very nice. However they did a ultrasound and seen she might have a pup still in her uterus. They told me the shot they gave her would help flush it out. ( let me remind you she was ok just not eating or drinking. She was still alert and a happy dog and a great mom the first 24-36 hours) after the shot I got her home and she was throwing up. She tried to drink water and would through up ( the dr told me that if she starts to throw up to call them and let them know. And when I did the staff said it was normal, however I could never speak to the dr because she was busy) after I called a few time through out the day I finally gave up and believed it was normal. UNTIL later that night my baby girl could not stand up. She was urinating on her self I would have to remove the pups and take her out and clean her. Finally I couldnt take it anymore and had to rush her to an animal ER. They did blood work ( unlike the clinic) and another ultrasound, said her uterus had busted due to a large litter and it went into her blood stream. Needles to say my baby died that night. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT OF THIS CLINIC HAD DRAWN BLOOD AND FOUND THE ACTUAL PROBLEM THEN I COULD HAVE CAUGHT IT SOONER AND SHE WOULD BE ALIVE TODAY. Its been almost a year and I still would not bring another animal of mine here no matter how cheap they are. I would rather pay 20X the money and take out a loan just to make sure my babies get the best treatment

The prices were great. I would advise a person to be careful when and how you pay for services. They had told my boyfriend that since he had placed a copy of his drivers license in our pets medical file that I was allowed to charge. First, they had given a wrong diagnosis on my cat. Secondly, the vet technician had a poor attitude and talked crap about me in the back saying that all I had wanted was sympathy. (I was there to put my cat to sleep because we ending up finding out from another vet she had malignant cancer that had spread out from her hind leg into her lungs.) She needs to learn better customer service skills, and that maybe one day something like this may happen to her. Shes needs to learn to be more emphatic toward customers and not hostile. I guess she wants to be treated this way since she wants to treat customers this way. Everyone else except the cashier too had a bad attitude. It wasnt my fault that someone hadnt done their job there in the first place. I would not allow that technician near any of my other pets. They shouldve had a better attitude since they had made the wrong diagnosis in the first place. Another poster had said go to a real vet. I agree. If its a serious situation, take your animal to another clinic. My advice to them on bringing their customers back is to have better service, and better medical practices. So beware with care.

Yes they are small, not fancy, but very efficient, and caring, tells me that their focus is on the animals and not to impress with fancy decorations. I find it funny that someone would blame the clinic for not finding the eye problem, just like your own doctor, dont they ask YOU whats wrong so they know what to focus on? If you were so concerned about the eye, why didnt you point it out to them? But my experience has always been a good one, I have an elderly dog, and they are very patient with her, when I go there I go for a specific reason, I point out to THEM what my concerns are and they have been wonderful. And as many know it costs around $80+ just to walk in to any other clinic, here its $15, and they tell you the cost of of procedures you inquire about as you go along, so maybe you can save lesser issues for another time. There is never any pressure to do things you cant afford. They have a great selection of flea prevention products, you can buy one dose or packages. I have recommended this place to many friends and they have thanked me. The lady that called this place GHETTO, can take her pets somewhere else, but we all dont have money to burn. Im thrilled at what they do and how they do it, my suggestion would be to make a list of things your concerned about before going to your visit.

This clinic was such a life saver....for my kitty. You see, we found her near a dumpster, she was first thought to be dead, but after she was picked up, she moved. Her eye was so infected she could barely open it and she had a deep cut near one of her ears (you could see the muscle, it was pretty gross and alarming). I took her in on a friday afternoon, it didnt take long for them to call me up. Within an hour and a half we were out. I took her again for a check-up on monday and she had done a complete 180, she was more alive and playful; and she began opening her eye. The price you cant beat: for an office visit, meds, and a few shots the total so far has been $55. I know I wouldve had to face charges triple or quadruple the amount at another fancier place. The vet techs and vets were patient and very gentle with the kitty. At first, it was forecasted that her eye could be removed, but after a weekend on eye drop medication she had gotten so much better there was no need. Not in the best neighborhood, but Ive traveled from SW Houston (fighting through 610 traffic as well) just for this clinic. Very worth the drive. As someone else said, its kind of tricky to find it, but look for the faded animals on a fence.

When I brought my baby, alexis Spencer, to them. She was a new puppy, her eyes werent even open. She was so tiny, she fit in my hand. And,she wasnt eating. She was about to die, bcuz she was infested with worms. They gave her antibiotics, they gave her shots, and they showed me how to take Care of her. I was taking her to the clinic, at least 4 to5 times a week. For about 3 or4 mths. They dewormed her and saved her life. They also have pills called, trifecta. I think thats the name. But, It keeps the pets from having tape worms, round worms, most important they keep them from getting heart worms. Also, they have a. Home Again warranty, when you get your pets rabies shots and get them micro chipped, they will sign you up for the program, but you have to renew it, every so often. I paid close to $600 or $700, keeping alexis alive. But, when you think about it, its worth it. Just to see their little faces, and see them running and playing. Whether you know it or not, they are our children. Because they cant feed, bathe or take care of theirselves when they are sick. So, yes North Loop Pet Clinic is great at what they do, and I WOULD recommend them to everybody.
