Ive taken all my foster dogs and cats here for spay/neuter, dentals, vaccinations and heartworm tests/meds after I pick them up from shelters and before they are adopted by the public. People do not understand how incredibly lucky we are to have this non-profit clinic in our state. I have been here soooo many times over the past six years, and never had a bad experience. Local animal rescue groups have saved thousands of dollars thanks to this organization, so they are able to take in more shelter pets who are in danger of being euthanized. People complaining about weird things: go to a for-profit full-service vet and pay at least twice or even three-four times as much for these services if this place isnt "good enough" for you. Like the person complaining about their drop off/pick up times not being convenient enough for them. They save pets lives every day because of their good work, these employees work for a non-profit so you know theyre not rolling in cash but they have to deal with the most difficult people. Thank you Heartsong! Your lower prices help low income people spay/neuter their pets to prevent overpopulation and the death of thousands of unwanted pets. You help people struggling financially to keep their pets safe by offering low cost vaccinations and heartworm meds/tests. You offer inexpensive microchips to help families be reunited with their beloved pets. You do a great service for Northern Utah, and Im sorry some of these people dont appreciate that.

My cat caught distemper after getting fixed. 2 weeks after being fixed one has already died, and the 2nd one is showing signs of distemper. Obviously they are not cleaning properly. We paid 900 to save the one that died. Go to your normal vet, its worth it. My kids are heartbroken. I have a really hard time believing that you follow protocol! I brought in a completely healthy 9 month old cat and it died 10 days later! Maybe you havent heard of any others yet, I have a hard time believing youre being honest when you say no others have contracted it. I dont care about the money. I care about my 12 year old best friend being dead! My cats were kittens and they got shots from you! THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE IS PASSING BLAME! DONT RISK THE LIFE OF YOUR PET WITH THIS PLACE! TAKE SOME OWNERSHIP OF YOUR DIRTY FACILITY! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WRONG. MY KITTENS WERE FIXED AND VACINATED AT YOUT PLACE LIKE MANY OTHER ANIMALS THAT COME TO YOUR FACILITY! My cat died 9 days after being fixed. I was mentioning the date I wrote that. So there is totally a way she caught it there! JUST ADMIT IT!

As much as I love the concept I have seen it done much better ways. I am very upset with how the staff are handling client information and paperwork. All of the Information that was given to petlink for the microchip was incorrectly entered into the system. The paperwork I received for the spay also had incorrect spellings of names (both mine and the pets). This is a very big problem. I am well aware they do a high volume of spays/neuters every morning but there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for information to be entered into forms incorrectly. I am also incredibly upset in the fact my cat was given Rimadyl, as all through my education and certification as a Veterinary Technician (Bel-Rea, and CACVT Member) it has been told to us over and over and over that Rimadyl is not approved for use in cats. I called my normal vet and he advised me to call the ASPCA poison control line. I will not be going back

I took both my dog and my cat here to get spayed/neutered. The staff is very kind, and even called me two days before my appointment to confirm the appointment and gave me tips to make it easier for my pets while on the drugs (no food/water after midnight and get a good walk in before you go in so they are happy to nap and not restless) The vet is really knoweldgeable and good at what he does. When we took my puppy (12 weeks ) in to get his second set of shots- my son brought in his stuffed dog (for emotional support for chester). The staff gave the stuffed dog a "shot" and a bandaid just like Chester got. My son loved it. Thanks for providing this service to our community and for being kind and compassionate... shots are scary for puppies and kids alike! Thanks for making it less !

These people are absolutely terrible! They are incredibly rude and their customer service is terrible. We brought our chihuahua to heart song for a spay and we dropped her off at 7:00 AM. They called us at 12:00 saying they needed help to put our dog under anesthesia. We got there and she was freaking out and scared. The towel they put her on was a bathroom towel that was covered in blood from the last surgery. Even after calming her down they put a tight muzzle on her which was completely unnecessary and continued to yell at her. Not even an hour later they had us pick her up. She was super scared and was still way loopy from being under anesthesia. We will not be going back to this vet clinic under any circumstances.

Worst place to take your pet! We took our cat to this place to get a vaccination but when we called in to get our pets vaccination records sent to a different facility because our first experience was less then mediocre. We were informed that our pet had been given the wrong shot! We called multiple times to get the records in the first place and the first two times they hadnt even been sent. The facility is small and overcrowded. The first and only time we went there, they took our cat out of his carrier and set him on the scale with a room full of at least 8 dogs. Honestly, save the money, take your pet to a place that actually pays attention to your requests and cares about animals.

When I first adopted my dog, I brought her here to get all her vaccinations. She is terrified of strangers, but the staff were very friendly and made it a quick and easy process. When I brought her back for her least favorite vaccination, bordetella, and to be microchipped, it wasnt as easy because she knew what was going to happen.. Needless to say, she made a big scene in the waiting room, and even scratched the doctor pretty good (shes especially scared of men) but they were still very nice and professional about the situation. Plus they are very affordable, giving me more reason to only bring my baby girl here.

Ive had male pets neutered before, but this visit to Heartsong was my first time with my two little female kittens being spayed, and I was a little nervous since I knew it was a more invasive surgery. However, they did an amazing job and took great care of my kitties. The incisions were super small, and I couldnt even see the stitches, they were so tiny. Thanks to the vets and staff for their careful work that made for a really quick recovery. Ive also used Heartsong for affordable heartworm tests and medicine and low-cost vaccinations. They help make taking good care of my pets affordable!

Took my dog here for her shots, registration, and to get her spayed. They were so good with her! My dog didnt even flinch when getting her shots and had a very quick recovery after being spayed! They also found a retained tooth and took it out while my dog was under the anesthesia(with my permission). I was also having trouble getting my dog to eat, we tried many different kinds of food, and Heartsong gave me a sample bag of the food they have to try to feed my dog. I am happy to say that she is now eating and is starting to get back to a healthy weight! This clinic is awesome!
