After extensive mandibular reconstructive surgery I was disfigured and could not eat with my mouth closed. I could not speak without saliva dripping. All but five of my teeth had been lost. I was told that nothing more could be done. Dr. Rios was recommended to me and on my first visit I knew that I was in the hands of a gifted and caring Dentist. His knowledge and equipment was state of the art. Worlds removed from what I had become accustomed to. His Staff members were equally impressive and kind. Dr. Rios carefully studied my medical records and physical condition and proposed a plan. He told me he was sure my condition could be improved upon but he could not be sure to what degree. My case was very difficult. We decided to try. The results were far beyond my expectations. During the lengthy process of restoring my ability to eat and speak and restoring my appearance, Rick and I became, and remain close friends. From the very beginning he was deeply committed to my cause and as our professional relationship has continued our friendship has deepened. What a wonderful gift it has been. What a brilliant Dentist, devoted to his profession. What a decent human being. How privileged I am to be in the care of my trusted friend. Today, advances in dentistry have enabled Rick to completely restore my appearance and I have permanent teeth, top and bottom. Thank you Rick, Doctor and Friend, and may our friendship continue for all of our days. Dale

My wife recently had a dental emergency that resulted in one of those dental crisis situations you hope will never happen to you. She was in extreme pain, not only in the tooth, but also extending throughout her lower jaw. She could not eat...couldnt sleep, and just was in a very bad state. Dr. Rios took my wife in for an appointment immediately when she called...the same day within an hour. A large cyst was discovered growing from the root of her tooth and placing pressure on the nerves running through the jawbone. The tooth had to be pulled, the cyst was removed, and the pain was gone. Dr. Rios and his staff did an outstanding job. They had to do some scheduling adjustments to work her in on that day. Dr. Rios also checked in with her over the weekend to make sure she was recovering okay. We feel so blessed that we found a dentist that really cares and will go out of his way to make his customers feel special. My wife is fine now and has a beautiful crown, also done by Dr. Rios. While my dental care has been more of the normal preventive care, I also am very happy with Rios Dentistry. I cant see us ever having our dental work done anywhere else.

Many dentist offices are friendly, others professional, and still others effective at dental care. Dr. Rios dental TEAM stands above them as they have ALL these pieces and excel at each of them. I think you have to drill down (no pun intended) as to how they go about caring for each patient to really appreciate the totality of what you are getting here. It is clear that the comfort and the quality of work they do is specific and personal to each patient. While you are in that chair you are number one. They truly are a precision team. When Dr. Rios and his assistant are working on you they barely need to verbally communicate as they anticipate each other and exactly what needs to sequentially happen next, like a precise, well tuned machine. Dr. Rios and his staff have a contagious confidence that assures you that you are in the hands of the best. Weve all heard there is no place like home for the holidays, well, there is no place like Rios Dentistry for your teeth. When the best is available, why go any place else??

I have been a patient at the Sterling location when Dr. Savage was practicing. My husband began going to Dr Savage, and I began seeing him a few months later. When Dr. Savage retired, I was unsure what would happen next. Since moving to VA I had not been happy with my dental treatment until finding this office. My apprehension and concern of a new dentist taking over the practice quickly had no merit. Upon my first visit with Dr. Rios, I felt very comfortable. This staff is incredible. Always professional, and fun to visit. I live in Chesapeake, VA but my husband works in this area. Staff works very well with me to schedule and re-schedule as my travel needs arise. Stacy, the Dental Hygienist, Roberto, the Dental Tech, and entire staff make you feel at ease. I could not in good faith recommend any other practice or dentist to anyone. Dr. Rios has built a practice that is keeping up with current trends and taking the practice to a whole new level of excellence.

I have always had a pleasant experience with each visit to Dr. Rios. Even when they first open at 7:30 in the morning, each staff member is pleasant and greets me by name with a smile. I get to work with the same dental hygienist at almost all of my visits which makes me much more comfortable as opposed to working with a random person each time I come in. My favorite part - all the staff have very non-judgmental, positive attitudes. Never once have I been criticized about my flossing or brushing habits like I have at previous dental practices. It speaks to the high level of professionalism and care that Ive found at Rios dentistry. I found them on a whim with a google search and thank goodness I did because now I actually enjoy my experience at the dentist. Thank you all so much! Oh, and please always keep that line you answer the phone with - "Rios Dentistry, how can we brighten your smile?". I love that!

Due to some unforseen family illnesses close to home kept me away from Rios Dentistry for almost 2 years. Time caught up with me and I had an issue that needed to be dealt with so I called up and they got me right in. When I walked in the door, Dr Mina, Stacy, Menasia, Lauren and Alicia made me feel like not only had I come home but was dearly missed. Dr Mina took care of me with the loving skill only someone of her caliber could execute and the entire staff in support made a near root canal experience the highlight of my day during a difficult time. All I can say to Dr Rios is the keys to success are to keep the caring, proficient and amazing staff members in the organization. Yes, I am the one that comes all the way from Chesapeake and my wife will be back up as soon as possible. Thank you so much for the extremely professional dental care but showing me genuine concern and love as well.

I have no reservations about recommending Rios Dentistry to anyone in the area. I NEVER thought I would say that about a dentist! 8^) Dr. Rios takes his time to get it right and keep the patient as comfortable as possible in the process. He is a class act, who stands behind his work and also shares his talents to aid those in need, locally and internationally. I used to dread going to a dentist; that is no longer the case. I am reluctant to mention individuals because I am so bad at remembering names, and I apologize in advance for those I am about to omit. But, I have to say that Kristen is real asset to the practice, and one would be hard pressed to find a more gentle hygienist than Haley. Over the years, Pamelas kind demeanor and professionalism has been appreciated and also added to the experience. There are others who should be mentioned, and I apologize again for my poor memory.
