Dr. Jerry Henkle has saved the lives of our dogs numerous times: - Our litter of pups got coccidia from the poop around the Phoebe nest on the covered porch - sorry to all the customers who waited on us, it struck the pups early hours of the morning in just hours, and we came in with out an appointment on a Saturday morning. 5 pups, 3 hours of the staffs time + medication only about $120, I think that was a good price - We were given "gourmet" coffee beans for Xmas and the dogs pulled the table cloth off the table, distributing all 5 lbs on the floor, they cleaned all the beans up to hide their dastardly deed: 3 or 4 dogs barfing in cages for 6 hours in the Battletown Vet office: priceless, yet they only charged $80, worth every penny - My dogs are all allergic to Ft. Dodge and other cheap Vaccines and Dr. Jerry gives MERIAL, the BEST rabies vaccines. They never get hives, swollen lips, and lethargic - I tell everyone to go there and have even driven my friends and their sick pets to Dr. Jerry - The Staff is really nice, they arent afraid to give you advice, which is really good, because it has saved some trips to the vet - not that I skimp, but sometimes other vets wont talk to you over the phone or give you advice, they think they wont make money unless you come in with the credit card. Not Battletown, theyll tell you like it is. - I rescued a bunch of dogs and some were really sick, Dr. Jerry didnt rip me off in their care and it could have really cost; some had to be euthanized, it was sad, and the staff was really nice, he worked with me on the cost. - Extra stuff I get from Dr. Jerrys "store" work pretty well, he must try the stuff out. - I see he recycles stuff too, like sterilizes and reuses plastics, I think this is good because it is not wasteful and reduces cost. Nice to know they think of these eco-things. In all 5 stars because this is a great vet, and Ive been dozens of times, as my dogs get into a LOT of trouble and Dr. Jerry has to save them.

Its simple if u want the best go here . Ive seen so many mistakes vets make over the years but not him he is the best n nobody else will do. My dogs are my world there isnt a replacement for them . So i drive past probably 15 vet offices to get to his have been for a long time . Nothing is worth risking your pets life . So yes that little extra drive is worth every penny n if you u can save a dime your wrong why not go get the job done right the first time his prices r great n lets face it id pay double to get such great care . It just doesnt get any better then him . I am the cordinator fot a shelter 4 hours away n see a lot of different vets n how they do business n this is the best . I will never see a vet that takes my dog in a back room away from me to check it out . Dr Henke makes sure your vet is comfortable n that you are an informed pet owner . Nobody does it better . I know i trust him with the most important things in my life . Im sure there are lots of good vets out there but i dont want good i want the best so i use Dr henke . If he moved across country i would consider moving as well .

Battle Town is an amazing vet service! They are kind, friendly and accomodating. They love your animals just as much as you do. I had a beautiful Bulldog named Maddy which some of the staff called, Miss Maddy Moo, unfortunately she developed Cancer and we had to say goodbye. But during the process not only were they very supportive but I had a number of the staff in tears over her passing. I love this vet and will always take my animals there for the care and love that they provide

I am a very protective animal guardian for my 2 cats and loved Dr. Henke at first sight! He inspired in me immediate trust , he is obviously very experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate. His staff is friendly and patient, front desk people answered all my questions throughouly. Clinic has a modern, clean and friendly atmosphere. Prices for procedures are competitive as well. I feel so fortunate to have this clinic so close to where I live! : )

This is one of the nicest vet clinics I have ever taken my dogs to. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, and the vet and techs are very knowledgeable and informative. They have an on-site lab as well as MRI, so you dont have to wait for test results. We definitely found our new vet!

Everyone at Battletown Animal Clinic is wonderful. They saved my cat from a near fatal respiratory infection. She can be a real grump, but they always handle her with love. Im so grateful to have such a great vet so close by!
