I tried Apple Tree after getting upset with my previous vet for refusing to see my dog if she wasnt on the table - which scares her so much she piddles - and so while I was waiting for Dr Norma for the first time I heard her through the closed door, sharply scolding someone for non-compliance with his dogs medicine regime. I was a little upset until I saw the dude walk out with a grossly obese, hypothyroid dog, and suddenly I knew I was in the right place. Dr Norma is very no-nonsense and she is the *animals* champion. Shes not there to take your money and pat your hand, shes there to take the best care of your dog/cat/whatever she can, and if that involves being blunt with the owner, she will be. Shes direct, compassionate, with a sense of humor that delights me. She treated me as though I were intelligent, treated my dog with gentleness and care - and got down on her painful knees to see her OFF THE TABLE. A vet with her ethics and ability is hard to find, and one of my biggest regrets about moving out of the country is that I cant take her with me. If all you want is someone to coddle you and Fluffy, then dont go to Apple Tree. If you want a top-notch vet with reasonable prices that will tell you directly what is going on, what your options are, and do her best to help your pet even if YOU are the problem, then go to Apple Tree. I cannot recommend her more highly.

My drop off time for a spay was from 8:30 to 9:00. I was coming from our home in Herndon Virginia with a 6 month old puppy in rush hour traffic with appointments stacked through out the day from Winchester to Reston. I arrived at 9:08 due to construction on Rt 9 coupled with the heavy traffic. The vet tech went in the back room to talk with Dr. Inqui and you could hear her under her breath complain about the fact that I was late and complained that she would only have 10 minutes to do the spay and directed the vet tech to reschedule with out once inquiring with me. I simply walked out telling the vet tech we will never be coming back along with a subsequent follow up call. This is how Apple Tree Clinic treats a client that has brought all their animals there for last 10 years. Hillside now has the business. I think its time for Dr. Inqui to retire.

I am very particular about my vets. Ive had nothing but bad experiences with vets unnecessarily man-handling my two small (and extremely tame/calm) cats, upcharging/doing things without permission to up the bill, or being incompetent. Apple Tree is the only vet I feel comfortable and trust with my cats. They are friendly, thorough, and cost efficient. Ive never once had a doubt about the cost being reasonable/legit or the quality of care. If ever I need a vet I will go nowhere else!
