I brought my dog in because he was vomiting and not eating. He was notorious for eating his toys which was noted but disregarded by the vets. Three xrays told me exactly what I already knew, rubber and plastic dont show up on an x-ray and they could not do an ultra sound. One of the vets, by all accounts from my wife, daughter and the records provided by the animal hospital itself, falsified my dogs medical record to cover poor professional conduct and the fact that a proper exam had not been completed. Not to mention he classified a sick dog barking as an attack and labeled him as a biter despite never having attacked or bit anyone before. It wasnt unitl the last visit where the xrays showed a dramatic increase in volume of his intestibes where they urged us to do surgery (1200) or put him to sleep. During surgery they called and the descision was made to put him to sleep to ease his pain and suffering. They may not have been the cause of his initial problem through their inaction that they were incapable to solve it. Something is wrong when they keep pushing for you to apply for a vet bill credit card. After two weeks of visits, calls and aover 1500 dollars I had to put my baby boy to sleep. In the end, he had a toy in his intestines and was suffering from intestine damage and infection. I will never forget my boy or forgive their, in my opinion malpractice. That is my view of the events, my opinion and I am not an expert.

My cat ended up dying because of them. I took her in on a Friday because she was very lethargic. Turns out, shed developed diabetes and I hadnt recognized the early signs. I told them shed stopped eating the night before and was just laying around that day. Instead of keeping her and putting her on insulin, they sent me home with diabetic cat food, which my cat wouldnt eat because she was so sick. So, I took her back the next morning (Saturday) and was told she just needed to be force fed! WTH!?! They gave me a syringe and told me to get as much in her as possible so that she could get her strength up. So, I did that. My poor cat was miserable at this point and was practically catatonic. (Several days before she was a happy, healthy 12 year old) They told me she needed insulin, but they dont have anyone there on the weekends and shed have to be observed after giving her insulin to get the dose right and that I needed to bring her back during the week. I think they scheduled the appointment for the following Wednesday. Well, Sunday I had my husband drive me to the ER vet in Winchester. My beloved cat died in my arms as we pulled into the parking lot. The staff THERE showed more compassion and sense than Inwood Animal Center. I will NEVER go there again and I make sure I tell anyone who asks about this. In talking to others, mine isnt the only pet theyve killed by not treating it as it needed to be.

I have taken my sweet little dog here a couple times and each time they seem to get even more rude (if thats possible)!!! Simple questions I ask and in return... attitude!! So its my turn. I am letting you all know that if you take your animal here, ask questions about everything, ask about follow ups and how much all this will be. I had told them that it was hard for me to give my dog her pill for the first week, I had asked the first lady when getting this medication if there was another form of meds other than pills. She says " No, just open the dogs mouth and push the pill down her throat". WHAT!!! Well Im in my eightys and I cant do that!! So I called again and spoke with someone else and she says "Yes we have a liquid instead of the pill" WAIT A MINUTE-- I was told there was no other form other than pills. She says " Well I dont know who told you that but we have it here if you want it" All with the snotty attitude. So I go to pick up the liquid med and they make me pay the full price even though she only needed a weeks worth of it. Which by the way was 60.00 for the pills and then again 60 for the liquid. So the rest of the pills Ill hold and the as for the rest of the liquid. I guess I have to toss it out cause of the expiration date. What you have read is just some of the problems I went through, so if you go.. hope you like attitude!!!!

I am torn on this place. I was very happy with the doctor, but not pleased with some of the support staff. The techs were unpleasant with us, and to top if off, the woman at the desk tried to charge us almost $300 more than the price we were originally quoted at. Thankfully, another staff member overheard our conversation, and came over to rectify the situation and worked out the issues for us. I work in a doctors office myself, and I think its important that staff takes responsibility for their mistakes. If you give a client an inaccurate quote, they shouldnt be responsible for paying the difference. I wish I knew the names of the two ladies that were very helpful, so that they could receive recognition for assisting us.

Goes above and beyond!!!! Kind, considerate and very helpful!!! This was my first visit here. My regular vet was booked solid and our little dachshund had hurt his leg. Not only did they give us a appointment they were able to do a x-ray and let us know no bones were broken:) They were VERY busy but took the time to help our little boy:) I will def be going back. Everyone from the Doctor to the team were nice and caring. Thank you Inwood Animal Center!!!:) And Snoopy thanks you too!!!!:)

My yorkie is getting older and had started to slow down. I thought all 12 year old dogs do that. It seemed normal. During a routine checkup, Dr. Butts noticed he had a slight limp. I hadnt even noticed. She recommended a mild pain medication be added to his daily routine. He is so much active and happy now. Such a simple thing! Thanks Dr. Butts for improving Gordies quality if life.

Caring staff, reasonable fees, reminder phone call for appointments and short wait times. We have three cats and a dog that are well cared for by this practice. The only concern was a billing mistake that wouldnt have been caught if I hadnt inquired. But with any medical practice, always ask questions about your bill.

After being told I wouldnt get charged for an office visit, just come in a a tech can administer the kennel cough medication, I got charged for the office visits @32 a piece for each dog, plus the $14 dollar kennel cough meds for each dog..and all the vet did was jack doddle. I am never going back..

I have been to several other vets and Inwood is by far the best. They have fabulous employees, most notably technician Melissa and receptionist Denise and Amanda. They were so knowledgeable and helpful that they should be awarded a bonus!

Excellent care was provided to my 2 kittens being spayed/neutered. I was impressed by the clean environment both out front and in the exam rooms. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this veterinarian center.
