We recently brought home a beautiful little dashund puppy. After having her for four days she starting to throw up and she was very sick. We called ridge animal hospital and called the vet on call who was Dr. Sara Miller. She met us there at 7 oclock at night and even though it was after hours she was so helpful and understanding. She gave our little tinkerbell fluids and a shot for nausea. She also checked her stool and wieghed her and took her temperture and gave us her personal phone number so we could call her anytime. The next day our little dog was doing so much better and Dr. Miller called us several times also the next day. I think Farmville has a great vet with Dr. Sara Miller.I recommend anyone whose pets are having problems please take them to Dr. Miller at The Ridge Animal Hospital. She is the best.

Took advantage of their walk-in service for long-overdue vaccinations for my cat and dog. Receptionist was extremely friendly and informative. Dr. Shepherd, whom I met for the first time, gave my pup quite the exam. Teeth, heart, eyes, blood..and other prods Harley would be too embarrassed to have mentioned. I dont think my own physician has been so thorough! I had wondered why my boy no longer jumped up to greet me--arthritic knees, along with a few other ailments that some antibiotics would take care of. And dont skimp on the heartworm medication people! I had no idea. As for my "Ill see you when I see you" cat, shes purrrrfect...(I couldnt resist). So, if you are ever in need of compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care for your pet, definitely visit Ridge Animal Hospital.

The office has great informative signage and literature advising of medical services, features, and their benefits. It makes me very happy that the doctor or staff does not try to sell or push things on me that they know my animals dont need. They are all extremely empathetic and supportive of the things my pets and I do need; availability of visits, cleanliness of the office, proper diagnosis and effective treatment by the physician, and all at a reasonable rate. Makes me feel blessed that folks genuinely do care for the total well-being of all our lives and advocates reducing stress.

Completely caring and confident staff. I dont care if you have to drive an extra 30 minutes to an hour, the staff her diagnosed my cat within 15 minutes, was on the way to treatment, its the 2nd day and the cat is almost completely healed, and they did it all inexpensively. I was expecting somewhere around 800 dollars for the procedure. 100 dollars was so much nicer. Like I said, theyre no-nonsense, get to the point, fast diagnosing, cheap, professional, and personally caring. 6 stars if i could.

I took my bearded dragon, Unico, here yesterday for some greens stuck in his throat. In the words of the participating vet he was "In good health, otherwise." 3 and a half hours later he was returned to me blackened and extremely stressed. I was told not to worry and that he should return to normal within some hours. Three hours later he passed away.

Dr. French broke the news that one of our dogs has bladder cancer in a caring way. She is doing fine and runs and plays with us and our other dog.
