Figure on being stuck here for 2 hours minimum during the day, my best wait was an hour and a half. They are not my first choice but their hours work with a 10pm closing time when everyone else closes between 5-8. They do things that other doc offices dont do. My normal doc doesnt do referrals, PF does. The bad with that is that I had to wait 2 hours just get a piece of paper referring me to an Allergist because my insurance requires one first. A simple 1 minute of doc time with 2 hours of waiting......already knew what was wrong, didnt need a diagnosis! Guess I got Doctor Obvious that day! I realize that most if not all of the rest of the patients were much worse than I was, but mine was a simple in and out deal. Instead I took up a room in the back for an hour and a piece that could have been used for someone worse off than I was. Had to go a few years back for my eye bothering me, they would not let it go that my BP was elevated and I nearly passed out from the pain.......they were poking and prodding around my eye that was extremely sore without all that extra! They were about to call a rescue squad to carry me to MWH........all because THEY were poking and prodding, pissing me off and making me sick to my stomach from the pain. My only guess was they thought I was having a heart attack? My normal doc understands and never has any concerns about my BP, he uses common sense!

WORST PATIENT FIRST EVER!!!! went here because I was experiencing symptoms of pneumonia/bronchitis. I got there at 8am when they open. there was a lady ahead of me and fella that had cut his finger walked in shortly after me. When i was escorted back it was by an assistant that did not apprear to have washed his hair recently, greasy filthy hair, and tattered clothes. After getting my BP and asking a few questions about why i was there, i was shown to an exam room. The assistant started swabbing my mouth and nose. He said they were going to test for strep. I had just told him i had no discomfort in my throat or mouth. then was a flu test...ok...then he wants to take xrays...so we walk back there and i am starting to wonder what else they are goin to do that they can charge up my bill. i asked why we were having Xrays done even before the doc has listened to my lungs. The assistant said that that was just standard for them...When i was finished the doc told me to stop by receptionist desk on my way out...i stood there for approximately 4-5 mins waiting while the receptionist chatted with a coworker. Finally she said you can sit down...she continued her conversation with her friend and looked at her computer and said ok...i asked if they had the prescriptions there and she said no and then turned to her friend as if my time was done with her....NOT A PLACE I WILL GO BACK TOO!!!...

I switched my primary care doctor to Patient First for the convenience of going there in an emergency and only having to pay a regular visit co-pay. However, Ive been debating if it is worth doing it this way and am thinking about going back to my old doctor, and here is why: 1. Although I switched them to my primary care physician as described above, it took six months to resolve attempts to charge me as if I were an urgent care patient. 2. Every time I go there it is empty, I get checked into right away, and boom...I sit waiting for the doctor for about an hour. Once is a coincidence, twice is a trend as they say. This has happened every time I go there (about 6 times now for me and my children), so I put it in the trend category. With an empty waiting room, Im not sure why I get left waiting for so long, but its irritating, especially when the actual time with the doctor when they finally arrive is about five minutes. 3. Theyre more than happy to fill prescriptions for you on site instead of having to go to a pharmacy, but not sure why they cant follow my prescription co-pay. For example, I pay $7 for generics everywhere else but get charged $10 or higher here. Do you really have to milk it for the extra $3? Yes, its insignificant but on a percentage basis, its almost 50% more. It goes back to the Payless Shoes commercial, "You could pay more, but why?"

We have used Patients First several times as we had situations when our primary doctors were not available and they have been nothing but first class. Examples - two weeks ago I was sick with a stomach thing and very dehydrated. I wanted to stay out of the germ ridden costley ER if possible. I went to Patients First. They did blood work, etc and also did IV fluids. I felt so much better when I left. They even called the next day to see how I was feeling. Weve also taken our young children there a few times when they had been sick over the weekend and could not wait until Monday morning. Patients First knew how to handle children and made them feel welcome and comfortable. Our first experience with Patients First was when our son who was 3.5 yrs old at the time was pushed at a birthday party and needed stiches in his head. He was so scared. They calmed him down and treated him. They did not even have to restrain him. The staff was wonderful and knew how to handle a very difficult situation. When ever my son gets sick know he askes to go to Patients First because they did not hurt him. Patients First does take people who need the most urgent care first. So a patient that has come in after you may go in first, but they do get you in as quick as possible. Patients First in caring and compassionate. They are our first choice when we need urgent care!

Hi, Well my name is Veronica Buie and i recently visited patient first due to a bad UTI, now everyone knows that with a UTI it hurts and burns when you urinate, then along with that your kidneys hurt(well your back). I first tried the over the counter medicine which didnt work, so then I carried my self to patient first for an expert opinion. Upon being there the doctor told me that I was positive for a UTI, so they gave me an anitbiotic shot along with a pain shot called torodol, which helped. I was shocked that she wasnt going to write me a prescription for pain before I left because i was scared of urinating and it burning so bad, but she told me to take over the counter medcine and she wrote me up a prescription for antibiotics, but when i finally did urinate I felt no burning sensation whew but my back still hurts but thats fine because I can take some over the counter medicine. I thought the doctor was ludicrous for not writing me a pain prescription. I had my UTI for about 2 weeks and was avoiding the hospital but had too because the pain was un bearable, my back was on fire, but anyway my worse pain was resolved and that was the burning urine ,so Im fine but I just hope next time if I go there I wont get the same doctor Dr. Erika Boka P.A she was very nonchalant and in a rush and didnt really seem to care.
