Okay, first of all, First Impressions Dental Care gives out incentives to their patients willing to provide stellar reviews on Facebook and Google. In addition, they give out incentives to have folks vote them #1 in "Best of Issaquah." Those two things, alone, should tell you all you really need to know about this clinic. But if you need more, Id be happy to provide it. Over the course of two years, I was in for four cleanings. Each one was a study in diminishing returns. The first one was VERY good and from there things just slid downhill. I never saw the same Hygienist from visit to visit and the fact that my last one ended with nothing more than an incredibly quick polish was demoralizing to say the least. Add in the fact that each time I went in, I had a different issue that needed immediate attention according to the Dr. and I ended up feeling as if I had no idea what the heck was going on in my mouth (even worse, I had a sense that HE had no idea what was going on!). Which brings me to my final two issues. There was never a "plan" in place for me and everything felt haphazard every step of the way. Finally, they will do everything they can to talk you out of your dental insurance, without ever being willing to provide proof that it is INDEED, cheaper to not use it with them (they give a 10% discount for non-insured work). Fact is, it IS cheaper on two levels. First, the fact that you are paying a lower negotiated price (often >70% of the uninsured cost) AND the fact that you receive $1500 to $2000 in coverage... which is significant to those of us who have to watch our pennies. First Impressions was a fail on nearly every level. The staff ARE very cordial and helpful, but I also witnessed one of them berated in the worst possible way by Dr. Sherman during an insurance question interchange. Everyone has a moment, but NEVER in front of a customer. Never. Found a new dentist a bit farther away and have to say, my care has been professional, thorough, and, most importantly, VERY consistent.

I have been a person with a lot of dental needs for most of my life and to be honest, there have only been two places where the best dental work and care have been provided. One, was the U.S. Navy. The other is First Impressions. Dr. Sherman and his staff are superb. They radiate the very essence of customer and patient care, treating you like the special person that you are and should be, keeping you informed, free of worry, free of bickering about brushing and flossing, however important hygienic practices certainly are. When you walk into the Offices of First Impressions Dental Care, you are treated like a member of a family, and throughout the experience you will be treated with the warmth and compassion that a family member deserves. Dr. Sherman and his staff take great pride in their caring nature and the personal attention given to each and every person who enters their facility. They even have fun together, support each other, and enjoy the work that they do. They will go that extra mile, and then some, to ensure your interests are met before their own. You are important to them, and it shows in the way they practice their daily routines that are genuine, molded from a core of values you really dont see much these days in business and services. The ambience of the Offices of First Impressions also exudes one of comfort and quiet, color and positivity. I cant tell you how much I enjoy each and every visit and always look forward to future visits for cleanings, etc., to catch up and feel at home, knowing that I will find solace from the hectic nature of a busy world in the gentle care of the First Impressions team of professionals under the guidance of Dr. Ronald Sherman. They not only wield a highly experienced hand with the Profession and Science of Dentistry, but more importantly, know how to take care of "family." Thank you Dr. Sherman and staff. Dr. Ron Sherman and his staff are the absolute best. I live in Spokane and have been looking for a dentist that I feel comfortable with for over a year to do Porcelain Veneers on my front 4 teeth. When I was younger I chipped by front two teeth and have had bad bonding experiences ever sense. I called over 17 cosmetic dentists in the Spokane and Seattle areas and they all quoted me over $1300 per tooth and required a consultation before agreeing to see me. Aside from Dr. Sherman having the best cost, it was also a fresh of breath air to actually speak to a Doctor that CARED about me and what I was looking for. He immediately tried to give me ALL of my options so I didnt just jump to the conclusion I thought was best for me. After a couple of phone calls (he called me on his own time after hours!!) and pictures I was scheduled to come in a few short weeks later. Again, living in Spokane, Dr. Sherman came in on a Saturday to accommodate my needs. He took impressions and put on the temporaries and two weeks later I had the real ones on! I am extremely pleased with the outcome and for the first time in 20 years Im happy to show my teeth! They look and feel like my real teeth and I will only recommend Dr. Sherman moving forward. Im even considering making the commute from Spokane for my cleanings!

Dr. Ron and his entire team at First Impressions are without a doubt the best dentist/practice my wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting. We relocated to the area from NY in August 2015. In October of that year, my wifes parents came to visit us from Ireland. During their visit, my father in law unfortunately cracked a tooth (believe it was a Friday evening). We were in a bind as my wife and I hadnt found/looked for a dentist yet.....little did we know that we were about to luck out big time. We looked for a dentist close by and happened to reach Dr. Ron. From the moment we reached him, he blew away all expectations. He made time for my father in law immediately (no US insurance)...he even came in while his office was closed on a Saturday (remember, my wife and I werent even clients). He helped my father in law out and even coordinated with another oral surgeon to take care of the rest of the issue over the weekend. We have never experienced service like this in any respect, let alone dentistry. Obviously my wife and I soon became clients and have never looked back. Dr. Ron and the entire team are absolutely amazing - caring, considerate, understanding, flexible, need I go on? If you are looking for a dentist, stop looking - call First Impressions in Issaquah!

Cowgirly Ranch

There arent enough stars to describe how much I *love* this office. For 9 years Ive taken my entire family- me, the husband and our two kids- now teens- and weve had such a great experience with Dr Ron and his team. First of all, the place has the look and feel of a beautiful office- not a smelly dental office. Second, theres privacy- you arent in a chair right next to someone listening to their diagnosis. Third, with his background in cosmetic dentistry Dr Ron does beautiful work- from fillings to crowns, if he touches it you can rest assured it will look natural and beautiful. Ive had a number of crowns restored by him (including some that were old and I was embarrassed about) and I couldnt be happier with my mouth. My teeth look and feel great. Oh! And the cleanings- no more feeling guilty about flossing or cleanings- the staff at First Impressions is there to help you. No lectures, no shame and no painful flossings. I hated going to the dentist before I found First Impressions, now I know Im in good hands. Ive referred a lot of people there because I love it so much and every one of them has come back to thank me. You just cant go wrong with this dentist. - Susan B.
