Absolutely appalled at this vet and their completely unprofessional office staff and procedures. I feel completely confident that they were only doing whatever they could to try and milk money out of my poor mother in law. Her dog got in a fight on a Sunday and had a very large (4 inches or so) puncture wound. She called her normal vet and they said they wouldnt be able to see him until almost 5 pm, so she decided to bring him here. It was around noon at this point. They were quick to examine him and inform her that they needed to do exploratory surgery to make sure none of his muscles were damaged from the bite. They then charged her $500 right then as a deposit before they would even agree to do the (unnecessary) surgery. They told her they were going to take him back and prep him and that she could wait the 2-3 hours or leave and they would call her. She came to our house to wait. Around 4 oclock after much nagging from myself, she called to check on him. They had not taken him back yet, but assured her that he was "shaved, prepped and ready to go, because he is next". This same story was told 4 more times, since I started calling every hour. Around 10:30pm she finally left to go and wait at the office, because she knew her dog was probably very stressed. When she got there she demanded to see her dog, and they tried to say that, oh, he is just about to go back. When she continued to demand to see him, they finally relented and made her wait in a private room and the staff talked about how sweet and cooperative her dog is. When they finally brought him into the room, they had only just shaved his wound and HAD NOT EVEN FLUSHED OUT HIS WOUND since he was brought in. She asked why it hadnt been flushed and he didnt seem prepped at all, and they explained that "he wouldnt let us get near his wound." Which one is it?! None of the staff can even get their story straight apparently? They argued with her about refunding her original $500 payment and still charged her $150! All of that so her poor dog could sit in a cage all day, stressed out, with no water, and not even getting a wound flushed? They also didnt send her with any antibiotics or anything. By the time she got him home, she said the smell of the wound was so terrible that it was obviously infected. When she finally took him to her own vet the next day, they had to do extra procedures because of the infection which never would have gotten out of hand had this emergency vet clinic done their job and simply just flushed out his wound. I understand that emergency vets get many patients and they go in order of priority, but there is absolutely no excuse for them letting this dogs wound go almost 10 hours without being flushed. Nor is there an excuse for their poor professionalism about lying to my mother on the phone about her dog. She told them that her own vet could see him around 5, and if they wouldnt be able to see him soon, then please let her know so she could get him into another vet, and they did nothing about it. These people are only after your money and have no professionalism at all.

We had a horrific accident while camping up on Hood Canal. It was Friday evening, our wonderful caring dog got hit by a car. We found this clinic. We called & went there. It took over an hr to get there. The whole time worrying about our little girl "Lucy". A little background on Lucy. We had 2 of our granddaughters with us. Lucy was a grandkids dog at our house. She allowed the girls to put doll clothes on her, paint her nails, braid her hair & carry her life a baby in baby carrier & in stroller. When the girls would go home she would sit by there room the first night. She was a rescue dog from a puppy mill. She was a Peikenesse (sp?) Black & White. She was called Devil Dog due to the 2 color eyes from her pervious owner. She was the furthest thing from that. She was an excellent therapy dog as well. The experience we had though extremely tragic, the care & compassion we got from the Dr & Staff was beyond excellent. We have had dogs all my life and have had to say goodbye before. However, here you were in a waiting room like a regular hospital. Private so you could grieve with your family. The Dr gave us all the options, the costs, etc. He said lets just start with xrays. Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. He came back to get us to come see the Xrays without our granddaughters. Thankfully as we went back, our son arrived. The Dr showed us the massive damage to the bones, & pelvis, etc. He said we would be looking at possibly several surgeries up to 5,000 each. He said even if we were Bill Gates & money was no option, he would say the same thing. . . time to say goodbye to our little girl Lucy. He came back to room with us to explain to our granddaughters & son that Lucy was hurt too bad and it was time to say goodbye. He explained how we would help Lucy go to Heaven. The girls understood, asked questions & he answered them so well. He gave us time to hold Lucy & say our goodbyes. He told us to take as long as we needed. No pressure. When it was time to say the final goodbye, he gave the girls another chance to leave the room. They said No, that she was all of ours & Lucy was too good a puppy not to have her family all with her. The Dr then said it would only be a minute or two & Lucy would be in heaven. The Vet then said hed take Lucy. Well, he talked to us as he administered the shot via IV. When he checked & she was gone, he was going to take her. My hubby said No, he wanted to carry her. We did go back & had one last goodbye alone with our little girl who we only had around 7 years. The Clinic gave us all options & costs. They were excellent. We had to say goodbye to our dog Fluffy who we had 19 years ....and we went to our Vet to have it done. If we do get another pet, if we are ever in this situation, we would come to this clinic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You to the Staff for their loving care of our Lucy!

Look, Ive taken my pets to emergency vets before. I expect to pay a lot of money. But I really felt that they took me along a journey to milk as much from me as possible. I described my cats condition to 3 of my friends, and EACH ONE said, "This sounds exactly like she has anti-freeze poisoning, a really terrible way to die." Then the emergency vet came in and said, "Oh wed have no way to know if thats the case without doing texts." Then he listed a lot of tests that had to be done. I was in shock about my cat, so I ended up authorizing the majority of them. After more than $800, they agreed that she had anti-freeze poisoning and there was nothing to be done. Throughout, the vet acted like hed never seen ONE case of this poisoning. Look, I realize that this was a terrible day for me, and that my judgment was totally clouded. However, Ive had other emergencies, and at each point of examination, Ive always been offered options, including, "These options will cost you a lot of money and result will probably be the same, putting your animal to sleep." Or, it will cost a lot of money, and it will work, but, this option may be too costly." I paid the $800 dollars, and then received a call that I had a balance due. Again, I know that a lot of people dont want to pay, but Im not one of them. But they wanted payment immediately, over the phone, if you please, without sending me a total bill (the down payment of $800, was just to determine the cause). I was getting ready to pay, when I realized I didnt have anything to pay off, and came back to the phone saying, "I need an invoice." At which time I was told that shed already started the process, and since I wasnt paying until the bill came, that I would have LESS than 14 days to pay. Also, that if they didnt receive their funds within 14 days, theyd turn me over to collections. My credit is excellent, and Ive never been told that Id have to pay less than 14 days or would be turned over to collections. It was also a very condescending conversation. I wish we had other emergency vets in this area, because I never want to have to go back.
