I absolutely love this vet clinic! Ive taken my kitty here to figure out why she was constantly having coughing fits and I found out that she has asthma along with allergies. Through this experience, Ive learned that she is very picky with pills which of course she needed to help her feel better. But Dr. V found a liquid medicine that works for her and she is now getting better! What I love about this place is not just what this awesome vet has done for my cat, but how all of the staff there treat you like family! They really care about all of their furry patients and my family has gotten calls from them asking how my dog and cat are doing after a few days. I dont know many vet clinics that do that! I also love how everyone there does their best to help my kitty when she is getting a check up. She is a very sensitive and shy cat. I also love how I can take my cat to the vet without feeling afraid of what they will say. Ive visited other vets and there have been times where I felt like I was being judged. The vet that I always see here is Dr. V. I feel comfortable talking with her and she is definitely not there to judge. Shes very nice and wants to help any way that she can. Thanks to this vet clinic, I am learning the best ways to help a sick pet by choosing the best option for them when I take them to the vet, and what I could do to help them feel better at home. I absolutely trust everyone there with my fur babies. Thank you so much Cornell Center Animal Hospital and keeping doing what you all do best!! :-)

Despite having a really good experience with Dr. V. last week, today we saw Dr. Stanchfield and I was really disappointed with how I was treated. My dog has a choke collar because I have tried all manner of harnesses and leads with her, and none of them have worked. It got to a point where she was tugging so hard on her leash that she was injuring my hand, and my doctor advised that I try something more aggressive. Dr. Stanchfield was really judgmental about the choke collar today, and even suggested, after I explained that Id tried everything and had even stuck with the gentle leader for six months with all kinds of different adjustments, that Id put it on wrong. To be honest, this happens a lot, especially with men: because I look like a very young woman, Im often treated like I dont know what Im doing or talking about. I was clearly knowledgeable about the subject--I explained that my dog is leash-reactive only, and that the collar is a temporary training tool rather than a permanent fixture, and that it was a last resort after trying many different options. Despite admitting that "he is not a dog trainer," Dr. Stanchfield proceeded to tell me how I should be training my dog until I interrupted him and explained that I am already using the techniques he suggested. It was incredibly sexist and frustrating. On top of that, we went in for booster shots but were charged for a full exam, despite Dr. V. having examined my dog just last week. We will probably not be going back.

Took in my black lab which got a tumor or something on her neck and up to the side of her face. The doctor was super kind and caring and wasnt one of those fakes that pretend like they care. He did more than he was supposed to and took care of it as if it were his own child. Had to put her down anyways as she was of old age and it was probably a tumor that she had. The doctor didnt try to pursuade me into surgery or any other medicine that would make him more money but instead told me the truth, which was that it was probably time to let her go. He even did some things for no additional cost to see if maybe it would be worth it to still try to save her and gave us time with her before the shot, during the shot and after the shot and tried to comfort my brother who kept crying about her with a story of how he had to do the same thing to his dog when he was a kid and afterward always felt as though he got her hairs in his food. Also did not have any hidden fees and let us know how much every procedure will cost before hand. I would suggest this place to everyone.

Took my 17 year old cat here after a recent bad experience at another local Vet (Rock Creek Vet) and this experience was much better. They are reasonable on their prices ($70 for the visit and medicine) as opposed to other vets who might charge you hundreds for tests and tell you its cancer, only then to find out that it was a simple infection. They were great at getting previous records, and the actual doctor comes in to get the backstory so you dont have to recite it to the nurse and then the doctor. The doctor was also very responsive to our concerns and experiences, giving us more advice than any other vet before. However, one downside was that the Doctor was a bit delayed in getting back to me, because each doctor is in on different days. This was all based on my first visit, and initial follow up.

How can a person qualify the integrity of a man who is completely dedicated to the health, happiness and well being of our furry friends and their people. My babies have seen many good veterinarians in their lifetime, however, Dr. Stanchfield of Cornell Center Animal Hospital (close to Bethany Blvd) is the veterinary Doctor that I trust to place his knowing , gentle and compassionate hands on my beloved pets, whether they just need vaccines or if they are truly ill. His kindhearted staff including the other veterinarians, are friendly and professional and their prices are very reasonable. I cannot recommend Dr. Stanchfield and his clinic enough.

When my cat began acting strangely after 16 years I took her in at a.moments notice. My vet, she was beyond what I couldve ever have expected when dealing with what she had presented. She gave me all available cost options, gave me the best chance to save my girlfriend and Is companion of many years. We eventually ended up putting her down as it was the most humane thing. Ive never receieved a condolenses card from a vet, but thats what appeared in my mail the next week. As well as the most thoughtful message ever conceived by someone I only just met. This place treated me and my pet like family and I couldnt see going anywhere else again.

I have an older rescue dog who needs some extra love and attention paid to his health, and I was looking for a more personal vet experience. The staff at Cornell have been so wonderful to us, they are always friendly and professional. If youre looking for a vet experience with people that know your animal and a more intimate experience, look no further! Our endless thanks to Cornell Center Animal Hospital, from Tank the pug & family

I have a dog and a cat who I take to Cornell Center. My cat loves everyone, and the vets treat him really well. My dog has major anxiety and is very difficult at the vet. Dr. V had been amazing in helping my dog and I feel comfortable, as well as providing calming aids to help my pup feel more relaxed. I would definitely recommend Dr V to anyone whos animals experience anxiety going to the vet!
