I highly recommend Essence of Dentistry to anyone looking for a Dentist in the Redmond, WA area. I have been temporarily staying in Redmond for the past few months and had a health scare which caused me to pass out. Of course, I hit my mouth on a piece of furniture on the way down and caused a large amount of trauma to my teeth. Not knowing anyone, I looked to the internet for reviews to help me find a dentist. That is where I found Dr. Han and her staff. I do not write this recommendation lightly as I am a person that fears and I mean, FEARS the dentist office. HATE IT! However, from the first appointment until my most recent, I no longer have anxiety about going. Over the last five months, I think I have experienced a lot of the services that Dr. Han and her staff offer. I have had my upper and lower teeth splinted, multiple times. I have had x-rays (a bunch of them). I had my teeth cleaned (Lisa is fantastic!). I have had multiple cold tests to see if my teeth were still viable, mobility tests, etc. I have had my teeth molded to check the jaw alignment. Broken teeth have been fixed. I have been fitted for a custom night guard, and I have had four root canals. All done on my upper and lower front teeth. At every appointment, Dr. Han and her staff have taken the time to explain what we were going to do and why. I was presented with options and Dr. Han explained the good, the bad, and the ugly of each. We talked through them and I chose what I preferred. I was never pressured into a service or an option. Hannah and Lily are the techs that work with Dr. Han and they are so nice and so friendly. They put me at ease the first few appointments. I have looked forward to talking to them both every time I have gone in. They also answered lots questions and provided guidance to me as to the appointment and what would be happening that day. The front office staff is incredible. Sarah meets you a smile and a hello every time. I observed while sitting in the waiting room that she also calls everyone by name which I think is a very important thing. Stephanie also works up front and she worked closely with my insurance company to make sure that what we were doing was covered. She was great and reviewed my account regularly, letting me know what would and would not be covered. So, there were no surprises. I cannot say enough nice things about everyone there. The people are great, the service was impeccable, and I can smile again with confidence because my teeth look great! In fact, I go home next month, back to Georgia. I made my next teeth cleaning appointment for August with them when I am due back in the Redmond area. That says it all right there!!

I have had to have a lot of dental work done the last few years following a long period of not seeing a dentist because I had poor insurance coverage and fear of dental work in general. I saw a few different dentists and had bad experience after bad experience until I got the recommendation to see Dr. Han from a family member who is a patient. I made my first appointment, and right away Dr. Han sat down with me to personally discuss my experience before seeing her, what my goals are for my dental health, and explained her practice and style in a way that really made sense. It was the first time that Id ever talked to a dentist at length, and it meant a lot that she took the time out to really get to know me as a new patient! Because there is so much personal attention to my needs, I have always felt relaxed, comfortable, and taken care of in Dr. Hans office. They have helped me overcome a lot of fears around dental work, and have worked with me to provide the most comfortable dental experience Ive ever had! I usually feel no pain after appointments, the appointments are fast, and the work that they do is incredible! My teeth and gums have never felt so healthy, and my fillings and crowns have been done perfectly so that it is actually more comfortable to chew and eat than before I had them done! Wow! I cant believe what a positive experience it has been to be a patient of Dr. Han and her staff. It has helped me learn that you shouldnt neglect your dental care out of fear, but that all you need to do is find the right dentist! Id recommend Dr. Han to everyone, especially those who have fear of dental work, because she is very patient, kind, understanding, and honest. The staff is friendly and get to know you, and the office is superior in terms of cleanliness and state-of-the-art technology! By far, this is the best dental office, the best staff, and the best dentist that anyone could ask for! :) Thank you Essence of Dentistry and Dr. Han!!

Ive been a patient for about 3 years now. At first I thought the prices were a bit high, BUT I had relocated from Florida where everything is less expensive (just the way it is). I have had 2 crowns done by Dr. Han on teeth that had 35 year old filling in them and had become cracked. 5-STAR WORK! The cost was less out of pocket than it was for an inferior crown job done down in Florida. Dr. Han and the staff were meticulous in fitting the crowns and they look and feel fantastic. Her work is extraordinary. Dr. Hans operation is top notch. Im a tough customer and I could not be more pleased with the work. Having been afraid of the dentist chair, I am glad to have met Dr Alison Han and her team. I came in as an emergency patient, needing urgent care for gum disease that was quickly getting worse. Alison is a caring dentist with a strong devotion to the patient and thoroughly speaks what the procedure is about and whats gonna happen. The staff is always friendly and the first priority is the patients comfort. All treatments carried out by Alison and her hygienists were absolutely painless. That includes the puncture of the syringe to inject the anesthetics. Also her hygienists are well capable of handling this procedure. After I have met Alison and her team, I have no hesitation to go to my appointments for dental care anymore.

I am very grateful to Dr. Alison Han and staff at Essence of Dentistry for helping me through the emergency of a broken tooth when my dental office was closed. I was kindly fitted in between other appointments. Very worried about what was to become of my tooth I was comforted by Dr. Hans caring, compassion, gentleness and her high degree of skills and experience. Dr. Han took time to thoroughly explain the complex situation and the next steps needed and worked quickly to save the tooth. The two other doctors that I saw later praised Dr. Hans work. Dr. Han is an exceptional dentist, and she and her staff run an exceptional dental practice. Ive been seeing Dr. Han for over 6 years and have been nothing by impressed by her kindness, attention to detail and her ability to treat you like a partner in your dental care. She always takes time to make sure Im 100% comfortable with anything we decide to do and shes even booked extra time so I can understand all of my options fully. All of her staff, from the front desk to dental assistants and hygienists, are amazing. I actually look forward to my appointments.
