This review is for the outpatient physical therapy dept: they will not schedule your appointment until they have a referral, which you have to physically drop off. Inconvenient, and not willing to work with you on that. Initially I called to the capitol hill location, and they were willing to schedule my appointment without having the referral, and asked me to bring the referral at the time of my appointment (seems reasonable to me). I wanted to go to the Ballard location since its closer to home, but unfortunately they were not helpful at all, meanwhile my arm has been getting progressively worse. I ended up going with a completely different physical therapist, not at Swedish Ballard. They were willing to schedule me without first seeing my referral. If you want to be seen, have your referral faxed over, otherwise you have to make an extra trip to drop it off yourself.

The doctors, nurses, counselors and staff all played a huge part in helping me save my life. I showed up with a bag packed to the ER and said I needed help with my addiction to prescription pain medication and was sent up to the detox unit not long after without going through the ER. I found out later that others in the unit had been waiting weeks or months to get in so I know that my case was different (and no It wasnt because I had private insurance- I didnt) I know my higher power and/or guardian angel was looking out for me. I will have 4 years on 6/24/16 God bless these people, theyre beautiful people and they deal with a lot of bad but some of us turn out alright. Thank you. Dr. Parada, you admitted me into the detox and CUPWs program that day. Thank you so much.

Ive been to the emergency room a few times. Theyre really great. Each time Ive been transferred to another hospital, which means Ive had to pay for an ambulance, which is disappointing.
