MY Husband and I rushed our best friend (standard poodle) to the hospital with what seemed to be a case of bloat (We arrived at the "hospital" around 3:00 am this was a drive from Port Angeles). When we got to the clinic my dog was taken away; and i was not allowed to see him while they had him in the back room(s). Unfortunately the x-ray confirmed my fear . Our healthy seven year old boy was having a case of bloat (this is an emergency and deadly without surgery). I was taken to a exam room (my dog still in the back) My husband was resting in our van because he had had spine surgery only a week before this dreaded night. They told me an estimate to operate and fix my dog. $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 when all was complete with the operation and days of aftercare. Then they went on to say that $3,000.00 down-payment was required before they would begin to try and save our dog. I asked if they could bring me my dog. They put him in the room with me he was drugged heavily with pain medicine. I told them that I could not give them 3,000.00 deposit but I would be able to do a payment plan. They said "NO" to that and told me that I should apply for credit (we have about 50 thousand in medical bills so our credit is very bad) But they insisted that I try because they could not do anything else for my dog unless they had a down payment. Of course my credit attempt was denied (As I told them that it would be). Then they told me to call family and friends; by now it was five oclock in the morning. I did reach out to close family and friends for help and advice. I went out to the van in tears to talk to my husband (he suggested that I offer the title to the van) . I went back into this hospital and told them that we could hand over the title to our van. Less than 500 miles on this new Honda. They refused this offer. Finally I said to them; so my only option is to put down my suffering dog or come up with $1,500.00 NOW (they lowered the down-payment to 15 hundred). This was a 7 year old dog. he was only middle aged he had at-least another 7 years of life left to go; but only If I could get this greedy hospital to do the operation and worry about payments later. So I (we) had to make the absolutely worst decision to kill our dog. Our best friend to the entire family two kids that would fight over who would get to have Frankie in bed with them at night as they fell off to sleep. My shadow during the day. My husbands walking buddy. Our absolute best friend. Gone; and for what? All about money. I called today to make another payment to the hospital because we owed around 400.00 for x-rays etc... As I sat on hold the recorded message was bragging about the number one priority of the hospital is the medical care for the animals entrusted to then to be cared for properly. Sadly they have a first priority of money the root of all evil. I would argue that this hospital has a love of money NOT the pets (family members that are taken in there by people desperate to get some life-saving care). I cant even list how many ways this is so wrong. Our family is still very raw over this loss. I know that I will never fully recover from this sudden, devastating, and heartbreaking loss. Had this hospital truly put the animal before money, I feel that Frankie would still be with us; and we would be giving them (the stupid hospital) a monthly payment. Had they given us the time we would have even sold things to make sure they were paid. Instead we were forced to put our boy down, now we are miserable without our lovely perfect best dog in the world, and this moronic, heartless, corporation hospital is only making 400-something dollars over the thousands that they could have made had they made the choice to save a beautiful life. Disgusting and sad.

I have been into this place once for my old dog this summer and another time for my roommates cat. I wanted to bring my new dog here and was looking online and noticed they are a free initial visit so I printed it off and made an appointment. Never have I ever had animal in their primary care only in the ER. I was told they wouldnt honor the coupon. I thought that was not right so I decided to cancel the appointment as there are other vets closer to my home with better online reviews and that I have had experience with. No I wasnt only going to go there because of the free visit but because I also did have a good experience there before. There is nothing wrong with my dog she is only 4 weeks old and I was just getting a well puppy check on her and her litter mate before the other puppy goes to her forever home. So I decided to cancel the appointment and asked the girl to do so. I received a call the next day but was at work and they did not leave a message. I called back and got nothing but attitude on the phone. I asked the girl to please removed my name and number so I would stop getting calls if someone couldnt tell me why they were calling and they werent going to leave a message. The girls response and I quote "Yeah ok whatever, ok bye" and then she proceeded to hang up on me as soon as I said "excuse me" I then called back immediately and asked to speak with a manager. The girl asked if she could get my name. I told her no you cant get my name. She said ok and placed me on hold. she then came back on the line and said that the manager was not available and she could transfer me to her voicemail. I said ok well isnt that convenient. I said I want to know the name of the person I was just speaking with. The girl on the phone said I dont know who that was. I responded by saying well then asked the other girls at the front who was just speaking with Kelli. The girl on the phone refused to ask and said there was no way for her to find that out. I said I want to talk to the manager. She then proceeded to tell me that the manager wasnt in today. I said so you are refusing for me to talk to a manager and refusing to give me the name of the person I was on the phone with before. She again repeated that she has no way to find that out. I know for a fact thats not true I am sure the person was sitting right next to her or it was her. I put in a call to the corporate headquarters to file a complaint due to the customer service but wanted to write a review as well because this type of customer service is unacceptable. I dont know what has happened to this place because they used to be so sweet.

I brought in my cat who is obviously injured and needs help. The staff did an initial exam and came back with a list of things that they claim needed to be done that had NOTHING to do with the injury and told me I had to pay $1400 up front to get him the help he needs. They refused to do a payment plan and then refused to help an obviously distressed animal because I could not pay them $1400 dollars for services that did not need to be preformed. This place claims to be an emergency clinic but they are not. If they were they would not have refused to give help and would have allowed for a payment plan. I took him to this poor excuse for a vet that claimed to be for emergency service, they saw him, saw how much pain he was in and that he is not able to move his leg on his own, they were more concerned with giving him a flea bath and treating for some bacteria that could possibly be in his urine. That by itself would have cost $400. They did absolutely NOTHING for the pain and refused to work out a payment plan. They expected me to drop close to $1400 right that second. And when I asked about setting up a payment plan they turned me away. Then one of the girls followed me out the door trying to get me to sign things and trying to give me advise on what to do. I basically told her off right there in the parking lot. As soon as I got home I went online and filed a complaint with the BBB as well as posted a nasty review on their own website after reading several nasty reviews from others posted on their website. When I went online this morning, I see that all the reviews I had read had been deleted. G-I-Wonder. I think the best solution here is to go to that clinic, break the legs and arms of EVERYONE who works there and then deny them services at the emergency hospital. Lets even deny them stuff for pain so that they have to suffer the way they let animals suffer because they are all about the money. They are not even slightly concerned about the pets they are supposed to be helping.
