This review is a long time coming, Ive been taking my 3 year old here for almost a year now and we LOVE it. Nelly does such a great job at cleaning my sons teeth which get heavily stained, shes very laid back and puts both of us at ease. Dr. Pam is always very kind and non judgmental, something I experienced when we had gone to Gentle Dental at the Vancouver Mall. As parents, we all just want whats best for our kids and for us that means trying to find the best natural alternatives to treat our boys. Our son gets heavy staining from naturally having iron rich blood, its mostly cosmetic, but we dont want him to have lowered self esteem because of it, so we take him in to get them cleaned quite often because all of the "natural" pastes we have used dont do much to keep the stains away. I know most (if not all) dental clinics dont condone going the natural route when it comes to your teeth, for now we started using a toothpaste recommended by Nelly, while looking for a natural alternative that will work for our son. With all of that said, neither Nelly nor Dr. Pam have ever made me feel like a bad parent for it, theyve been patient with me and have tried to help me find something that works for our family. I highly recommend this clinic, and Im guessing everyone else does too, because the waiting list can be quite long, but its definitely worth it!!!

Dr. Butler and her staff are beyond great. I take all three of my children there. One of my children is a 13yr low functioning autistic and they gladly take him in for a cleaning. They allow for a longer time to take care of him. Vanessa is usually the one who does my sons cleaning. She is very patient and calm with him. She has a way to help him get through his hour long visit and allows him to be his curious self but still is able to get the cleaning done. As for my other children the usually see Tara who is also fantastic. She is very engaging and takes the time to explain everything that she is doing and what every instrument is for. The environment in the office is relaxing fun and very stimulating visually. I would recommend this office and the staff to anyone in a heart beat.

Today (2/26/2014) My daughter had her very first visit ever. My daughter is 17 months, and they were extremely gentle with her. Vanessa was amazing. Not only was she worried about my daughter, but she was worried about how I was feeling. She was checking in to see if everything was okay with me and if I was handling the fact that my daughter was being very fussy. Also, Dr. Pam was great as well! My daughter was being pretty fussy but they took their time & showed no frustration. At the very end of our visit, my little girl felt very comfortable and even gave Dr.Pam a hug! I am glad that I took the time to do my research and not jump on the very first place that I found. THANK YOU!! SEE YOU IN 6 MONTHS!!

I have been taking my daughter here for over 2 years now and she actually looks forward to going to the dentist! She cant wait to see her favorite dental assistent Miss. Vanessa. She is the absolute best! Vanessa makes my daughter comfortable and keeps her laughing. Per my 4 year olds instructions I have to ask for her at every appointment, and I do so happily. They never use big or scary terms, I can understand everything I am told. Dr. Butler addresses all of my concerns without talking down to me. I HIGHLY recommend Under the Sea. Dr. Butler and her staff the wonderful. Just took my daughter in yesterday and she is already asking when her next appointment is.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO UNDER THE SEA!!! I have a 5 year old and was told she needed may things doen to her mouth, She got one crown and to fillings, but was told she needed more work. It was taking to long to get it so i took her some where els where i was told she didnt need anything done. So i took her to a 2nd one to see what they would say, Same thing she didnt need any thing done.. Then the crown she was given at UNDER THE SEA now has to be taken out along with the teath on each side of it due to absess caused by a bad crown!! It was a cool looking shop but dont look at the out side!!

Dr. Pam and her staff are wonderful! They are always patient, nurturing, friendly, professional, and fun! My two boys (2 & 7) receive great care. Nelly stays calm and collected despite my two year old screaming during the entire visit. Vanessa has great rapport with my 7 year old, is patient and conscientious, and follows up to make sure we are all set before the next visit - both boys have dental goody bags, next appointments are scheduled, and both boys get tokens as a reward for being good during their visits. My 7 year old enjoys being at the dentist! I highly recommend this practice.

This office is amazing, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your child is taken care of. My son loves it there. Libby is amazing at the front desk. Very professional and can answer any questions you may have. She is upbeat, friendly and always takes the time to help you understand what treatment needs to be done and works great with my schedule and getting my son in for treatment or cleanings. I highly recommend this office and am proud to say my son goes here! Thank you Dr. Butler, Libby and staff for making every experience there a GREAT one for me and my son.

My daughter has had the best experience at Under the Sea. Doctor Butler is such a wonderful dentist! She is so kind and patient, a true professional. Her staff are equally wonderful. Vanessa is so awesome with my girl, I am so grateful for her gentle manner, she has really made our visits pleasant. Its so important to create a positive experience at the dentist to maintain lifelong dental health, and I highly recommend this office for that experience. It is a fun environment with lovely people! We have been going to Under the Sea since Corbin was a toddle. It has always been his favorite of places. It is a magical place with fish tanks, treats for the good job the kids do and fun things to look at behind every corner. Most of all the staff and Dr. Pam are the most gentle, considerate and knowledgeable on all dental and kid related matters. Now my daughter goes there and she thinks Ariel must get her teeth cleaned there. If you have kids this is the dentist for you

Under the Sea Dentistry has such a great atmosphere for kids- from the toys to play with to the fish in the fish tank! Our son is just over a year old and had a great first dentist appt thanks to Vanessa and Dr. Butler. Thank you for making an otherwise "unhappy" appt such an easy and quick visit. We would highly recommend Under the Sea Dentistry to anyone looking for a friendly and comforting dental experience for their kids.
