I rate this no stars whatsoever. I just got home and looked at my receipt from our visit in which we were told my sisters cat needed a surgery that would cost way over $3000 when we explained we couldnt afford that right now we were told to put him down because he was going to die either way. We politely declined saying we wanted him to pass in the comfort of our home, his home. The response we got was "in my professional opinion I wouldnt do that, thats just cruel I would never do that" we replied with thank you but we know what we want for our cat and the doctor became rude, repeating how cruel we were for wanting that in front of my baby sister in which made her choose to put him down there. I paid over 300 for the smallest things for them to take care of our animal and in that payment they charged me to put him down when we were told putting him down would be free. Now I feel like a horrible person for allowing it to happen. Id never in my life go back to this clinic. They took advantage of the fact that my family and I were all in a vulnerable state of mind, for money by "persuading" us into putting our animal down since they obviously wouldnt make any money from the surgery.

As a pet owner I cannot stress enough what a relief it is to know that after hours, when all the daytime vets are closed, there is a modern, clean, well equipped and professionally staffed hospital where I can take my elderly dog if disaster strikes on weeknights, weekends, and all major holidays, 365 days a year. The doctors at the emergency hospital are experienced, knowledgeable, and capable, and the well-trained support team is top notch as well. It takes a special kind of person with extreme dedication to stay up all night long, and miss out on holidays and time with family, for years at a time no less, in order to be available to the rest of us in crisis, and thats exactly the kind of person I want working on my "baby." Yakima is lucky to have a place like this available, I have lived places where you were just out of luck if anything happened "off hours," and it would be a shame to take it for granted or let negativity detract from what is in all ways a fine hospital.

This to the 3 wonderful women that were working on the evening of 8/26/11...I apologize for not remembering your names, but I will always remember the love and care you had for my Sweet Penie and myself. What was a difficult, sad evening was turned into one last beautiful experience for Penie and myself. Their love and guidance helped me make a difficult choice that many pet owners must make at some point in their pets lives and feel good that I was doing the best thing for my cat, Penie. I could not tell my friends enough how much those three women helped me through a hard experience in life and hope that every pet owner that has to visit the Yakima emergency clinic is blessed to have those 3 women love and guide them through the visit...whatever the reason of the visit!! Excellent veterinary service! We took our dog to 4 different vets in the Yakima area and this place is by far the BEST! In fact, one of the vets we originally went to recommended Pet Emergency because they do a better job on ultrasound scans than anybody else in the valley...and they were right. They were able to find the problem in our dogs bladder and they were able to fix it with antibiotics and a change in dog food. None of the other 4 vets we saw were sure what the problem was, and most of them wanted to do surgery. BIG THANKS to Pet Emergency for finding the problem and the right solution to get our dog healthy again!

Poor excuses were given when I questioned their procedure for blood test upon request. I was told directly from a "Dr" that no blood test add on was requested during a urinalysis test. The lack of communication amongst staff from patron to help potentially eliminate possibility of the following diagnosis such as diabetes, kidney/liver failure, inflammatory intestinal or hereditary condition were ignored. As a result, a life was lost in the hands of this establishment. My focus will now be gear towards fact finding the evidence in order to prove negligence.

The people who work here are compassionate and caring, anyone who writes a nasty review on here probably tends to forget that taking on a Pet is a responsibilty financially and is an investment emotionally. It is your responsibility to care for your pet and not the responsibility of anyone else. The medical knowledge is outstanding, and any recomendations made are done with the knowledge that comes from years in medical school, with the best interest of the animal in mind. A great place to take your pet god forbid you have an emergency.

The staff were friendly and caring, and the vet on duty was excellent. However, the prices are through the roof. If my cats urinary tract blockage recurs on, say, a weekend or an evening, Ill probably have to take out a second mortgage to get him treated here. Obviously this is the result of supply-and-demand, but one would expect a caring emergency vet service to care enough to hold prices down a bit so that ordinary people can get their animals treated.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR ANIMAL The girl at the front desk was clueless about every question I asked and the staff has a IQ of a retarded mosquito. We were in the waiting room and we can hear the lady in the back telling the dog to hussssshhhhh and Shhhhhhhh while the dog was crying. Tried to charge me 1000 just for x-rays! Cruelty I definitely wouldnt suggest going there. The Lady was half asleep or high off something.

Awful place 400 deposit to just have a pet seen not including cost of what ever is wrong with the pet. PRICE GOUGING CAPITAL OF YAKIMA If possible try and take youre pet to the vet when their open. such a shame these people take advantage of the city when others are closed. many people have lost their loved ones due to their greed.

This place Is open Every night Monday Thru SUNDAY 8 pm. Till 8am ... And It Is also open the WEKK-ENDS WHEN all the other VETS ARE CLOSED . THEY ARE REALLY GOOD AT SAVING ANIMALS LIVES !!! OF YOUR VET IS NOT OPEN ON THE WEK-ENDS AND YOU NEED A VET , TAKE YOUR PET HERE !!!

Took in a cat(ear mite infection).I was given an estimate, too much for my budget, couldnt afford to pay but the staff literally blackmailed me into paying or else they would call the cops for animal cruelty; so i was forced to pay up.

Very friendly staff! My dog was in pain and they checked her out as fast as they could. Turned out that my dog was going to be fine and charged my less for my visit. I will return with any other pet related emergencies in the future!
