The clinic left me a message saying my next missed appointment would be a fee and the one after would be a discharge. My MD Dr. Davies prescribed me a medication that made me sleep all day and I slept through one appointment not 2 so I wasnt on my third strike and they discharged me from clinic telling me it wasnt the doctors decision and it was the medical office above them. Then when I called to try and get re-instated a year later they now claim its the doctors decision to discharge and they wont take me back. When I asked why its now the doctors decision and why they said before it was the clinics, they said because the doctors own the clinic. So they were basically not taking any responsibility for the decision. I also feel they discharged me because Im on medicare and they are using this as an excuse to get rid of another medicare patient they no longer want now that Sea Mar is in yelm they want all medicare to go there instead of wasting these doctors time. Also what kind of doctor discharges a patient in the middle of treatment without even knowing for sure they have the right medication prescribed. I had to go to a new doctor in middle of treatment and start completely over, because what I was prescribed there obviously didnt work, since it made me sleep all the time. I asked if I could come back to clinic after a year or two went by for a second chance and was told I needed to write a letter of appology for missing appointments to both doctors I used to see. I did that and then was told that they never take patients back that have been discharged no matter how long its been or the circumstances. So basically they just made me waste more time on them for nothing. Not to mention they were late for every appointment I was on time for, If they want me to be on time they should be held to the same standards. I always ended up waiting an extra hour or two in room for doctor to show up past my appointment time.

I have been a patient of Kathleen May for 22 years now, and have been treated in a very unprofessional way and am leaving this office immediately! I spent a half hour with her, her treatment for me was a hug, and telling me to get into nature. I have been extremely depressed, and the hug just didnt work Kathy May! It cost me $118.00 for that! I called last week, because she wanted me to let her know how I was doing, Friday I called to speak with a nurse, and she promised she would call me right back......no one called! This morning I called again twice, I spoke to a nurse by the name of Chris, she was so rude with me! was extremely distraught with stress and anxiety, she said I am going to say this once and hang up, well, SHE HUNG UP ON ME TWICE! Her tone was very aggressive as well! Not the best way to deal with a patient with depression! I am so so frustrated with this whole situation!!!!! If I could give them a no star rating, I sure would! PS, I see from the past comments from YFM playing down all these rightful compaints. Thats just the way they are there! So I would never recommend this Dr office to anyone that is concerned about thier health! Thanks for reading this! I have spoke with several people that was once patients there, and was fired by the Drs there, and asked to not come in to thier office again. One example is a patient was having a mole removed in the surgical room there, while her Dr, at the same time she was having a procedure, the Dr was talking on her cell phone to her daughter! She complained about this experience, and was told not to come there anymore, herself and her children and husband! Thats what happens here! There are many more people I have spoken with, and was fired by Drs here! This is very sad that a bussiness can continue to treat thier paying patients like this!!!

I made preventative checkup appointments for my 4 children when we moved here to establish a doctor. 2 of my children saw Dr. Wardrop, who was excellent. He was very caring, and the children were comfortable with him (even my teen daughter). He completed her physical for school sports as well, everything was billed as a preventative checkup covered by insurance. My other two children saw Dr. Wilson. I was annoyed that the doctors office called before our appointment to make sure we wouldnt be late becuase Dr. Wilson had a plane to catch right after the appointments, but whatever. The appointment itself went fine. My other teen daughter, I noticed, didnt quite get the personal private care Dr. Wardrop had given, but the boxes were checked. When asked if I had any concerns, I asked about my sons headaches that sometimes make him vomit, and if she thought he might have migraines. We discussed this for a few minutes and decided he was probably just getting over the flu still. No tests were done or anything. A week later, I received a call from the doctors office saying Dr. Wilson will not fill out the school physical form because "it wasnt that kind of appointment." This is the first time in my experience a preventative checkup didnt cover sports physicals. Since I received the call at the last minute, I ended up in a walk in clinic on a Saturday to get it done before the season started. A month later, I received a bill in the mail for my son with the headaches, for "established patient level 3" care. What I learned from all of this, is dont use Dr. Wilson unless you are independently wealthy or dont want to ask any questions during a routine exam. You will be charged for everything.

I have been going to Yelm Family Medicine for 11 years and have never had a bad experience. Yes, there is a wait depending on the doctor you see but it should be expected. I see Dr. Penn and he always listens to me and involves me in the actions of my medical care. Recently, my son was injured during a sport practice. I was not notified until I got to the school to pick him up. He was in extreme pain and so on a whim I pulled into the parking lot of Yelm Family at 8:40 pm. I did not have the opportunity to call ahead to schedule an appointment. We walked in and they made it so that we could see the doctor almost immediately. Due to the issues my son was having and tge fact that there were no pharmacies open to provide pain medication we were recommended to go to the ER. The next morning, Dr. Penn called to find out how my son was doing. A couple days later, I realized that I did not get some items that would be needed once he returned back to school. I called the office on Saturday afternoon and asked if they could provide what I needed. I received a call back within a couple hours saying it was all ready for me to pick up. This doctors office has never once not responded to a request I have made. And they always do so in a timely manner!!! We have received such excellent care from everyone here that I would definitely recommend them to others. I have already recommended to many friends and family and I will continue to do so!
