Both my kids have been going to this office since they were born. They are 5 and 9. My 9 yr old recently got real sick, fever, barking cough. I called to have him looked at, and the office people said they couldnt see him for 2 weeks, and could not fit him In. So I took him to convenient care twice over the next 2 weeks, and they misdiagnosed him as croup, and have him wrong meds. So 12 days into his sickness, it got much worse, coughing non stop, missed 9 days of school. So I called dr velasquezs office back, to see if theyll see him, but was stopped by the medical receptionist, who was very short, and non understanding with me. My kid was extremely ill, and Dr velasquez is well familiar with my kid, so I wanted him to be seen there. After her poor customer service, I became frustrated and was short with her back and got hung up on. My kid barking in the back round. Dont get me wrong , Dr velasquez is great!! But that office team needs to learn a little compassion.

ai give dr Velasquez 5 stars she deserves all the credit. but not her secretaries in her office they are so rude and disrespectful over the phone and in person too. i been going to Dr Karen Velazquez for almost 7 years now and I love her she is beyond wonderful. she takes great care of my babies and she listens to all my concerns as a mom when it comes to my kids health. i always leave relief after she see my kids and i trust her 100% . but the secretaries are horrible , very disrespectful,they are rude over the phone and Im person too. they had leave me in hold for over 10 mins and then hang up , lie , and refuse to make appointments for my kids. the only reason Im still going to that office its because we Velasquez other wise I would of stop going long time ago. they need to do something shot their secretaries, and hire moreadequate profesional people and with manners , that will treat the patients with respect.

In person, Dr. Velasquez is great, has wonderful bedside manners, and her staff is wonderful. Over the phone, I ALWAYS have the absolute worst time with the front desk staff no matter how large or small the request is. It is so disconcerting and frustrating, to the point where I truly avoid calling if at all possible. My requests are questioned, the secretaries are rude and condescending, and I have to follow up and baby sit every request until its complete. Very disappointing.

I took my daughter for her annual check up and Dr. Velázquez is an absolute doll. She listened to my concerns about the chronic ear infections and lack of words my 2 yr speaks. Now we have an appointment with the audiologist and speech therapist.
