If you are seeking a long term relation with Ridge Family Eyecare I dont recomend it however If you are in need of just an eye exam for one time, it is reasonable. I went there 2 weeks ago for my eye exam, everything was good however we couldnt find a frame fits to me. I ended up not buying eyeglasses from them. I needed my PD # to order eyeglasses online, then I noticed my last name spelled wrong on my prescription. When I called them up, I asked them to correct my last name and provide me my PD #. Everything was fine so far. When I went back to their office to get my last name spelling corrected on the prescription, I reminded them that I needed my PD# ( on the phone they promised me to measure my PD# without mentioning any fee) they asked me to pay $20 to measure my PD #. The attitude was really not nice. Basically they told me you did not buy eyeglasses from us now we will charge you $20. I accepted to pay $20 as I didnt have any other choice however I know that I am not going back there. The money does not matter but their attitude does matter.

I really enjoy going to this office. Ive been going for over five years, and now my two sons go as well. The parking is challenging in Bay Ridge in general, but this place is worth the search. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. They are knowledgeable, and make you feel wanted & appreciated. Its clean and well-kept, and I like how the layout is very convenient. The hours are good, and they are very flexible with their appointments. They have begun texting appointment confirmations, which most other places dont do. Ive also had nothing but great experiences with the eye doctors there. Dr. Paul Patsalis is a terrific veteran of the trade, and Ive also been treated by Dr. Lau. She recently relocated with her family, so I saw Dr. Prisca Simon on my last visit (yesterday)...again, nothing but the best. This place seems to attract top-notch personnel. Their prices are reasonable, and I doubt that anyone will be disappointed. I can easily go to a place closer to home, but I highly recommend Bay Ridge Eye Care Optical for all ages!!!!

I havent been to an Eye Doctors office in years. I went because I needed to renew my license, but decided to just get a full exam instead because there was no wait. They explained to me I would normally need an appointment, but they would accomedate me and take me the same day, which was really awesome of them. Paul Patsalis was so friendly and thorough in examining me, will definitely see him again. I even found this nice Rayban Sunglasses, I didnt feel pressured to buy anything, the maneger Peter told me to come back or think about it if I wasnt sure, but I really liked them and a lot of their stock, so I decided to get a pair. Overall Im so very glad to have gone there, and will be going again.

DR Paul Patsalis is an excellent doctor he took the time to explain every procedure he was doing. For example, when my daughter eyes were being examined he explained in detail what he was doing , Dr. Patsalis was very supportive, and thorough when explaining the process. He is a professional and has a naturally lovely personality. I would recommend Dr Patsalis to everyone. He is the best eye doctor i have ever had.I left his office confident that i had the best eye care for me and my daughter.

I DONT recommend Bay Ridge Family Eyecare @ 6834 3rd Avenue. They are: rude, condescending, run consistently 30 minutes behind even if you are the only person in the whole place, question your decisions & opinions about what you are looking for (contacts vs. lenses) and their receptionists are barely literate. THE WORST!!!! In particular, Dr. Paul Patsalis is absolutely awful. I cannot stress how horrible this place is, I cannot believe they are still in business.

My whole family goes to to Bay Ridge Family Eye-care for our glasses, and I have to say that in the last eight years we have had no complaints what so ever. The people there are so helpful and polite. They are very accommodating, offering advice as to what looks good and what doesnt. They always come up with the best payment plans possible. and it just feels like they actually care, not like some other places that just want to rip you off.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining my insurance and how it works. Dr. Lau was very thorough and patient. I got my glasses within a week and was even notified earlier than I was told they would be ready. This is the first time I ordered progressives and I LOVE them. I would highly recommend going here. Also their prices are very reasonable and much better than other eye glass places I have been to in the past.

I highly recommend Bay Ridge Family Eyecare for your eye exam, eyeclasses and contacts. The doctors and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything about my eye exam and answer all my questions. They have a great selection frames and I paid less this year for new classes then I did two years ago. I bought two pair and they both fit very comfortably.

Whats this person ranting about? What a crappy thing to say about anyone. Service there was great for me, and Dr Patsalis is a really nice guy who is more than competent. If you want faster service, go to a piece of crap chain optical where theyll make you wait 5 min, perform an eye exam in 5 min, and really make you see double.

This place is Great!!! I came to this office about 2 weeks ago and I couldnt have been more pleased with the service. I saw Dr. Lau and she explained everything so well. The staff was also very nice and took their time to help me pick my frames. I recommend this eye care center to everyone, you will love it !

This is a family run business that I cannot recommend enough. Ive never worn glasses and they were patient while I was trying them on and were tolerant as I facetimed with my husband to get his opinion on my choices. If you need eyeglasses and you live in Bay Ridge, this is the place to go!
