Thanks to Farmingdale dog and cat clinic my dog Chloe is alive today. If it wasnt for Dr Spars thorough exam and immediate treatment plan after discovering a cancerous Mast cell tumor on her leg (that Southgate animal hospital didnt catch as well as her hip dysplasia in the 10 minute routine exam they gave her and told me she was fine, even after her blood work came back with a very low platelet count and told me "dont worry about it, well keep an eye it) I asked several friends where theyre took their dogs and Farmingdale clinic kept coming up. When I dialed the number it came up with Dr. Senk Who I had use for my cats in the past and immediately I was relieved because of the excellent care she had given my cats and was surprised to see she now had a practice that included dogs. I was given an appointment the same day due to my concerns and Dr. Spar did a thorough head to toe exam on Chloe and found a mass on her leg as well as some concerns in her hip area. She immediately biopsied the mass and I had the results that it was cancerous within two days. I immediately got an appointment with the Crawford dog and cat hospital (Who I also would highly recommend) and her surgery was scheduled within three days. When they x-rayed her they found that she did in fact have hip dysplasia (and another thing Southgate hospital told me "it was nothing" $800 later). Because of Dr Spars thorough examination, immediate treatment plan, and expertise in a total of five days Chloes tumor was removed and she is now cancer free. Farmingdale dog and cat clinic saved Chloes life! A life I couldnt bear to live without right now. I posted a picture above and already shes back to her usual self, thank God. Thank you Dr. Spar and to the kind, caring staff as well you were all wonderful. You even catered to the nervous mommy and I really appreciate that!!!

this is the best vet ive ever gone to. my cat has a stress disorder and was licking himself raw and i had taken him to 3 vets before i went to farmingdale dog and cat. the other 3 vets charged me for unnecessary tests and 2 told me to put my cat down. my cat was a kitten just turned one and i found farmingdale dog and cat on aspca for low income vets. The first time i took my cat there they diagnosed it correct and gave me a 6 month supply of medication which was amazingly 12 dollars. my cat improved and eventually became a happy cat again. without farmingdale dog and cat i dont know if i would still have my best friend farmingdale dog and cat treated him in one appointment after i had gone through a year of vet hopping and insane tests. the best part is the treatment was less than half of the cost of any of the other vets i went to. they saved my cat my nerves and my money and i thank them forever for that. the other amazing thing is all of the pet meds are affordable and the tests and appointments as well. my flea treatments are 12 dollars a month you cant beat that. plus they are very on top of care management they send memo cards when someones due for a vaccine and have always followed up on any treatment. they truly care about the work they do and i recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Angela Spar and her entire team, Lyn, Aileen, and Stephanie and Maria whom we met recently, have saved two stray cats, who became our beloved Max and Oscar, his friend, now sadly lost to a car accident. Dr. Spar has helped us every step of the way-- we rescued Max last October, Oscar this January--from lending us a trap to providing excellent and compassionate medical care to giving us advice with infinite patience and expertise on all issues that have emerged on the long road to recovery from a difficult surgery. Dr. Spar is a precious gift thanks to her gracious caring, pertinent insight, sharp intuition, lucid clarity, agapeic love for all animals, patience and understanding for all of us, lightness of heart, and kind humor. Lyn and Aileen have contributed thanks to their expertise and kindness to an unexpected wonderful experience. I am so glad and relieved that there is a place like this, especially today when an anti-cat sentiment seems to be on the rise. We are all deeply appreciative and grateful. After using many vets throughout the years, I was fortunate to have been referred to the Clinic - Dr. Angela Spar. She is by far the most compassionate, gentle, and all about the pet kind of doctor. Dr. Spar truly has a genuine love and connection to our pets, and treats them like her own. She does not push unnecessary vaccines or treatments as some others do, rather advises on what is really necessary and not and provides information willingly. She does not over book appointments to provide quality of time and evaluation. My puppy is very anxious at the Vets office and became a barker and as I learned, a puppys way of protecting me. Dr. Spar had a great sense of humor about it, and calmed down my puppy and was great with her. I only wish Dr. Spar did spaying, as I trust her 100% and know she provides the best care and treatment with a kind and soft heart.. For anyone looking for an exceptional Vet - Dr. Angela Spar is the one. Thanks so much Dr. Spar.

I cant say enough about Farmingdale dog and cat clinic. When we first got our dog we went to a different vet and I thought they were great until a friend of mine who also works at the clinic had suggested I take my dog there. Everyone is extremely friendly and we thought my dog had kidney stones but we did a sonogram and they actually put my dog on a special dog food and everything is fine with my dog. Farmingdale clinic also noticed something on my dog that could be the cause of her bladder infections that the other vets failed to notice or advise me about this condition. I have recommended this clinic to several people and would definitely go to them over any other vet around!!

This vet office is phenomenal. Everyone who works there are very compassionate, understanding people. I have use many different vets over the years, I kept switching when realizing that they were out for my money and not the well being of my animal. That is until I found this place. Their prices are very reasonable and they actually care about my animals the way I do. I fully trust them with everything they say and would never go anywhere else ever again. I highly recommend them for anybody that is looking for a wonderful caring vets office, that do not try to rip you off in any way shape or form. To them its all about the animals and that is the most important thing to me.

My Mishu is one of the most fractious cats ever and has a few health/emotional issues and had I not found Dr Spar I am sure my Mishu would no longer be with us. Three years and several treatments later Mishu is doing great. Dr Spar and Lynne are amazing with her. They are kind and compassionate and put up with my little bobcat. I love the entire staff there, Eileen is awesome, always helps me get my babies scheduled, Maria and Dr Alford are great. I highly recommend Farmingdale Dog and Cat Clinic. I have 12 cats now and would not take them anywhere else. In fact, I have asked them all to move to FL with me if/when I move in a few years! :)
