While I do appreciate Classic Optical passing along my daughters prescription to Costco in Vermont, I dont appreciate the troubled manner in which they did so and the rudeness to my daughter. What impressed me was the stark contrast between 2 businesses. While the business that my daughter paid money to was rude and clearly unappreciative of my daughters relationship with them, the Costco Optical dept. was cheerful and excited to help my daughter get her pair of contact lenses needed for skydiving and they offered them for free!!! Classic Optical might have great glasses, but they fail miserably on what matters most and that is customer service. Life is not about money, but about relationships.

Chuck is fantastic and has a great store. He was extremely helpful and willing to readjust my glasses multiple times as I got used to a new frame with nosepads, all at no additional charge. He even put lenses in an old vintage frame from the twenties for my girlfriend, when other stores refused to work on them. In a world where it seems that one increasingly has no choice between getting ripped off by the Lenscrafters/Pearlevision mafia (whose parent company owns most of the eyewear brands) or the high-end boutique "alternative," its nice to know that stores like Classic Optical still exist. Great prices and merchandise, and old world customer service. Highly recommended.

I have been doing business here for quite some time. My wife and I both get our exams, contacts, and glasses here. The service, quality, and speed that they work at is unbelievable. I had my contacts and glasses the next day. They have a very good selection to include Oakleys and Ray Bans. When I was there I even saw a few custom frames that he personally built. Every time I have been in there the staff have adressed all questions and have given personal attention to the customers. It is very apparent that customer service is important to them. I would highly recommend that you go to have a look and meet the owners.

Ive been going here for almost ten years and have always had great service. Free adjustments to my glasses, and my contacts are always ready the next day. I also appreciate that they know who I am and greet me by name when I walk in. And not just on the day of my appointment when theyre expecting me. I can, and have, walked in randomly, and am greeted in a friendly manner. This is nice, considering I usually only see them once a year and they Im sure have many customers throughout the year.

Awesome service. It took a few times to tweak my lenses, but I figure its because Im a photographer and have super picky eyes. (Im also a relatively new progressive lens and glasses wearer.) Chuck was absolutely accommodating, offered to have my eyes rechecked and ordered new lenses to replace the ones that I wasnt as happy with no charge. Its really great to have such exceptional friendly service that actually gives the customer the benefit of the doubt. Thank you!

I wish I could give these guys 6 stars. I have a bad habit of losing my glasses whether the dog eats them or they fall into the lake. Anyway, every time I need a new pair I know I can go to Classic Optical and get some that are stylish and fun and really fit my face. They take the time to help you and you never feel rushed. Thanks a bunch for the great customer service. Im sure Ill see you soon.

I heard a Classic Optical ad on the radio, and how they perform their own lens cutting on their premises. I emailed them about the possibility of making my current lenses a little shorter. After a visit to confirm the work, co-owner and optician, Chuck Cooley, took on this challenge and quickly performed perfect work. Im more than satisfied with my experience. Thank you!

New to Ithaca, I shopped around a bit to find the right spot. This place in Collegetown is smaller than your chain stores, but the service was excellent and thoughtful. For the first time, I walked out feeling better informed about why I was buying what I was buying. This is not a volume business. I felt well taken care of.

After seeing the owner have an exchange with a customer on Craigslist yesterday, and seeing the owner publicly post the customers history at the store, Id never set foot in that place. STAY AWAY! "Convenient"?? Sure, if you dont drive a car! "A better price on frames"? Youre delusional.

International from outside of U.S. and my first time of getting any service relating to eye and glasses in U.S. Everyone including Dr. Schwartz was very kind and I couldnt complain about anything. Walking distance from the campus was another advantage.
