DO NOT GO HERE. One star is waaaaaay too much. Went here because I was having severe upper back pain. The doctor here barely examined me. Asked a couple of questions, gave me a chest X-Ray and said it was clean. The place leaves me a message on my answering machine the next night saying they found something on my x-ray..yea, imagine the wife finding that message and having to sleep on it now, because when I call, the doctor is unavailable and I must call back the next day. Real professional. Why not call my cell phone, or just leave a message to call back.. But wait, Im just getting warmed up. The radiologist found a suspicious spot on my lung and recommends a followup. Naturally Im freaked out. I go back for a new X-ray, the attending "doctor" reads it on the spot, and tells me the spot is there and I should follow up with a pulmonologist. OK, really scared now. I make appointments and prepare for a rough road ahead. Call back 4 days later looking for radiology report. They never even sent it out! When its finally read (a week later) its CLEAN. Turns out the radiologist recommended the follow-up because the tech screwed up the original, she couldnt be sure what she saw so she requested a followup. But wait...it gets even better. Remember, I went here for "Sharp upper back pain". I was "examined" twice (joke). The only thing they really DID do was take my blood pressure and that was supposedly normal. When I followed up with a REAL doctor that week, my blood pressure was through the roof. They ran the gamut of tests on my heart, and put me on medication immediately. This so-called "urgent care" specialist is the LAST PLACE you should consider if you really think somethings wrong. Go to the ER at St Josephs/New Island Hospital 1/2 mile east. Youre much better off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP.

This place was trash! Google says that people spend an average of 45 minutes, yet I spent an entire 2 hours in this horrid facility. Even after I was taken in and my vitals were taken, everyone else that came in after me was taken in and ready to go while I remained a sitting fool. You believe what transpired next...Thats right, it would seem that my two hours were well spent, but Dr. Vincent Stracuzzi, "MD," misdiagnosed a simply sprain that takes about three weeks to heal as a "foot fracture, right, closed, initial encounter." This physician claimed that the "3 views of the right foot reveal[ed] an incredibly subtle undisplaced fracture of the base of the fifth metatarsal only seen on the lateral view." I have never heard such absolute garbage. What did this man possible mean by "incredibly subtle," I will never know. How can one simultaneously have a fractured fifth metatarsal and yet have it be so subtle that when I went to a follow up visit to my local orthopedic surgeon he denied that there was any evidence of any fracture in the X-rays I took at this urgent care. This lovely Doctor proceeded by taking his own X-rays and the results were the same. All I had was a sprained foot! I didnt know whether to feel relief or anger, but I know what I felt was that an entire week of my Summer went to waste as I was made to lounge around my house unable to play tennis, go to the pool or the beach, or even wash my precious right foot. Of course, as these disasterous events come to a conclusion, you can blame this all on me for falling for something to "subtle" in the first place. Let me just say that I am never going to this urgent care, and now that I think about it, any urgent care in the state of New York, again.

This was by far the worst experience at an urgent care that I have ever experienced. For a few days I began developing a rash that I thought was mosquitos due to me being outside for a few hours the week before. However, the rash got worse so I went in to have it checked out. The med tech was very brash, and not that personable. When the doctor finally walked in, she stood by the doorway for most of the intro before she discovered I had a rash. She looked so confused, so puzzled, like she has never seen anything like what I had in her medical career. After answering that no new things were introduced, and no fleas were in my home, she proceeded to prescribe to me a steroid cream that is used for allergic reactions, and said if it persists then to follow up w/dermatology. yesterday, I went to a different doctor, and guess what? its not an allergic reaction, its CHICKEN POX. how did that doctor not know that I had chicken pox? The doctor who saw me after the premiere doctor (if you can even call her that) took one look and gave 3 choices that it could be since the 3 choices rashes look similar. blood work was done, and confirmed. had I gone to work, encountered a child who wasnt vaccinated, I couldve killed them. or had I encountered an elderly person who had a mild case in their life, and also...could have killed them or landed them in the hospital. Due to the misdiagnosis from premiere care. Who may I mention, didnt even mention chicken pox as a possible cause of my rash. I am so angry, and so upset. Thank goodness I didnt have a copay. This place is a joke, the doctors are jokes. Id never take any family members there, or recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to this place multiple times in the past. With each visit I find myself becoming more and more unhappy. They almost always run unnecessary tests that my regular doctor wouldnt find necessary. After insisting on chest x-rays to rule out pneumonia the doctor insisted I "wasnt that sick" and that I had a "viral infection" that would last two or three weeks. They have almost always refused to dispense medication such as antibiotics in the past- insisting its "viral" and that with or without antibiotics the infection will last a few weeks. I always wound up at my regular doctor anyway getting antibiotics and a few days later the "viral" infection is resolved with the antibiotics. The last time I was there they referred me to the emergency room. I had bronchitis...They referred me to an emergency room. $400 later I had my antibiotics...and wound up at my regular doctor ANYWAY yet again. My doctor still doesnt understand (or agree with) what caused them to send me to the emergency room. They seem to always prescribe unnecessary tests and almost never give out antibiotics. It is always frustrating to go there. I am NEVER going to patronize them again. I have thoroughly learned my lesson! I also have a new recommendation from my own doctor for a place to go when my crazy work hours interfere with a doctors appointment: Prohealth care has an emergency walk-in basic care clinic in Jericho.

My wife had a severe allergic reaction yesterday. She went to this urgent care for help. she was clearly not in good shape and needed medical attention. They close at 7pm and my wife was there at 7pm on the nose. They closed the door on her and locked it and declined to give her the health care she needed. Im not familiar with NYS health laws but if there is a way to sue them Im going too. What if she was raped? What if she was shot god forbid, would they still decline to give her attention because they punch out at 7pm? Absolutely disgusting and I will put them on blast every chance I can. I hope this place closes.
