Im a little torn on this one. On the one hand, the staff were kind and helpful, and my visit didnt take terribly long (although it did seem like a bit of a long wait initially given that I was the only person in the waiting room). The folks seemed knowledgeable and capable, and I enjoyed my visit to the extent that you can enjoy an urgent care visit. On the other hand, they sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. When I talked to the front desk person when I arrived, we decided on a particular CVS that was open 24 hours. When I left, I specifically asked if they had sent my prescription to the CVS that we discussed, and they said yes. When I went to pick up the prescription, I discovered that they never sent it to that pharmacy. Turns out that they sent it to a Duane Reade that is open until 9 pm on Fridays (this was a Friday evening) and isnt open on Saturday or Sunday. The urgent care center is open on Saturdays, so I can have them send it to a different pharmacy once they open back up, but this also keeps me from getting on the medicine for an extra 12+ hours, which is frustrating (it also requires me to expend additional effort because of their mistake). Bottom line, I assume this is typically a good place to go, but its frustrating that they did not send my medication to the pharmacy that we specifically discussed twice. UPDATE: Getting the issue sorted out on Saturday morning took a few hours. I called the clinic and asked them to send the prescription to the CVS. I waited an hour and went to CVS. The pharmacy told me they didnt have it in the system. I called the clinic again and they said they sent it and must be having electronic submission issues and it would be faster if they just called the pharmacy to do it over the phone. I waited at CVS for 30 minutes or so. I asked again, and they still hadnt received the prescription. They looked in the system and realized it was sent to a different CVS by the clinic. They said they could transfer it to that CVS and then fill it, which would take another half hour or so. I left for a bit, then came back, and I finally received my prescription. On a positive note, someone from the clinic called me on Sunday night to apologize for the experience I had, which I do appreciate.

Went in because it was close. First phone call to this place was completely useless, uninformative. Then a friend called got more info. went over. When i looked at the patient information afterwards it said i was with: "significant other." Went with a friend who just wanted to make sure i got there alright. They completely Fabricated "significant" other. Oh it gets better. As i mentioned upon looking at patient information after i departed, i see it says: "Mild" abdominal pain. Fact: Extreme / Severe unimaginable pain was what the reality was. I tell the doctor the pain is intense left side to center going to right side but still very bad everywhere. Dr. Kahn has me lay on a table and takes two hands and plunges both hands in right side of stomach area. Her handling of the situation caused so much pain my whole body lifted 6 inches up off the table. And the Ugh sound of major pain went with that. The friend with me would verify the same as i would, the look on Dr. Kahns face at that very moment was: FEAR. And she knew she just did something wrong, major like. She wanted me to go to the hospital. So for "mild" pain you are going to send someone to the hospital ? Give us a break !!!! It was sunday night at 7 pm Memorial Day Weekend - when hospitals are on Skeleton Crew staff and everyone is on vacation. I asked if she could give something for the pain to make it bearable until tuesday after the holiday weekend ended so full staff and long term experienced doctors would be on at a hospital or i could get to a private physician. She refused and i went home with more severe then when i walked through the door. Would not recommend this place to my Enemy ! that simple. What an Idiot !!!!!!!

This place is wonderful. I live in another state, was not feeling well, thought Id better get checked out. They quickly checked and took my insurance. That was great. How refreshing to be in a medical clinic that has its lights turned on! From the minute I walked in, I was treated with kindness, courtesy, professionalism, efficiency and respect. From the gal who checks you in, to my wonderful, smart nurse, Tara, who did a thorough and detailed intake asking intelligent questions that mattered (to be sure she got it down right..) to Dr Benny Hakim, a young, sharp NY doctor who asked all the right questions and because he LISTENED, decided to perform a urine test on the spot that much to both of our surprise revealed the presence of kidney stones -- not what I had come in for but the reason in fact that I have been feeling so lousy! He ordered an ultra sound of my kidneys which I will be following up on. Smart doctor. And I was treated like a real person. Hallelujah. This is a first rate Urgent Care and I recommend them highly. You will be in good hands here. Because they were so obviously competent I was able to relax and trust I was being well cared for. ALSO not always the case in my experience of the medical system today. But dont get me started.....:) One other thing that made me happy was the classical music playing softly in the waiting room. Yes - there was a tv also and they had the ball game on...with the volume turned off! That alone -- the quietude and peaceful atmosphere allowed me to relax at a moment I was feeling nervous..you know, walking into a strange place. It told me alot about the energy of the clinic -- GOOD ENERGY! Thank you, MED RITE! Cant say enough good about you.

MedRite Urgent Care is centrally located and easy to get to, which was convenient when I was in pain and needed to get there fast. They boast a clean waiting area and friendly staff and seem to be very efficient. The wait was pretty short and the nurses are friendly and gentle, which is great for patients who might be a bit squeamish like me. The exam rooms are also neat and tidy, and you typically have only a short wait before being seen by a physician or physicians assistant, depending on your ailment. You will be given a thorough exam, though probably not as thorough as you would encounter at your regular doctor because this is only an urgent care, but the doctors and PAs at this located are very professional and tend to go the extra mile. The one issue you might discover is that they do not have their own lab on premises (also very normal for an urgent care) but you still receive your test results rather quickly (usually less than 2 days) and in the interim they provide excellent care, including any necessary pain medication or antibiotics. They do offer various instant tests that are over 95% accurate. My minor but painful infection was quickly diagnosed and treated, whereas my regular doc wasnt available for another week. In closing, this is an excellent choice if you cannot be seen by your regular doctor as they see you quickly with no appointment.
