Be careful of their scam! Rosalie who is the only one who can email records or handle billing who is only there 2 days a week does not enter information correctly. My insurance literally covers EVERYTHING yet since I have gone to them the last 4 months, I keep receiving bills. They incorrectly put in for x-rays and the insurance company even laughed at them telling them on the phone they WERE PAID! Now they say I owe for another xray that I was specifically told in person WAS covered. It was not. Insurance says all they had to do was check and they wouldve seem I had already had this type of xray. Now they are giving me insane stress as they refuse to take responsibility for THEIR mistake! Aside from the fact that they supposedly put in for a root canal & crown on my tooth from January and keep saying they are STILL awaiting approval. My insurance company says they never received this claim!! Im waiting 4 months now for something that never got put in for! How is this possible? ?! I wish I went off my instinct when I read these reviews in January. I was scared off but felt bad as I had made an appointment already. Always go with instinct. Besides the fact that the dr was "knocking on wood" that I dont get pregnant so he can work on me (not a clue maybe I am trying to and that that was a horribly insensitive thing to say to a woman! Ive never had such problems. They get 1 star because the hygienist is really sweet.

Horrible Dentist, they tell you that you need procedures that you dont need so that they can bill your insurance. I am 29, they made me see the periodontist who said that the only thing that would save my teeth was a laser treatment that wasnt covered by insurance and that cost $4800.00. He said if I didnt get it I would loose all my teeth in two years. When I went for a second opinion they told me that there was nothing wrong with my gums they just needed a cleaning. They also billed my insurance for 3 root canals which they didnt even tell me I needed. Then when I refused the procedure and went to another dentist they told me I didnt need a root canal at all. Aside from the fact that these people are arrogant, incompetent, morons they are just bad dentist and quacks and I am contemplating a law suit against them. Keep yourself and family away.

Horrible! It doesnt even deserve one rating! The dentists are FAIRLY OK if you just want a cleaning otherwise find another dentist cause they hit you up for every little thing and you always need another appointment!! Heres the worst part...the staff!! They are miserable, typical Staten Island bimbos that have no professional manners at all what so ever!!! They just work there for pocket change so they can tan and be nasty!! Ive never seen such ignorance in my life! Oh and by the way, they were rude to my mom because she didnt speak English and I had to translate Greek! Take my word for it dont go here, try Oakwood Dental Arts...nicer staff, modern clean office and good dentists!

Dr Cosman is good. He was my dentist while I lived on Staten Island. He actually fixed a bad root canal that was done and redone by 2 other dentists in the past, and I havent had any problems with it since. He was always efficient and punctual. The main problem with this place though, is that to get to the good guys in the back, you have to get past the trash in the front. Jersey Shoresque looks and attitude. You have to repeat all information to them 2 or 3 times in between their snide comments. Its more painful than a toothache dealing with these unprofessional dimwits. They really bring the place down.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! On all three appointments I had for this office, I was subjected to waits of up to 1.5-2 hours after my appointment time. They over book like no other Dentists office I have EVER been too. The receptionists play music at annoyingly high volumes. Almost to the point to where you cant hear the person sitting next to you. If you can, please do yourself a favor and find another Dentist/Orthodontist. I would rather have my tooth pain and drive to Delaware for a proper visit then ever come back to this place. Too bad there is no option for a 0 star.

Im shocked by these reviews. I go there every 3 months for a cleaning and the hygienist is wonderful. Also, I had a re-contouring of one quadrant at another periodondists office, and it was a positively horrific experience. I had the other 3 quadrants done here, by Dr. Plotno, and the experience, while still an unpleasant dental procedure, couldnt have gone better, or been more contrasted by my horrible previous experience elsewhere. Ive been coming here for 3 years now, and Ive never had a problem with anyone in the office.

The receptionists out front are absolute garbage. Theyre rude and refuse to help give or explain anything even though its one of the very few things these people actually have to do. When I was seemingly annoyed, they then told me that the office manager (the staff, not the dentists) decided to drop me because of "personal conflict." The dentists as well as the dental hygienists are good which is a shame. But dont take my word for it, just read all the other gleaming reviews specifically about the staff out front...

I waited 2 months for a regular cleaning appointment from this place, during my visit they only took a few pictures of my mouth then told me I had to make ANOTHER appointment for a CLEANING! They are just money hungry and do not care about you. I had to leave work early to make this appointment and it was a complete waste of my time. But wait it gets better..my appointment wasnt for another month! I called my insurance immediately and made an appointment for another dental office.

Took a month to get an appointment - which would have been fine if we were seen. We were never told that we would have to bring our own x-rays for my son. When we arrived the woman behind the desk was very nasty to my husband and told him " You cannot have a consultation without your own x-rays" then walked away from him. That was it,waste of time and just to think we waiting a month for that.Very unprofessional

Its so disappointing whats been going on with this practice in the last 6 months. We have always had a good experience. The dentistry is not the problem at this office --- it is the manager and front desk staff that needs major repair. IF you can get passed all of the nonsense from the front of the office and get to the back where the dentists and hygienists you will be taken care of. Otherwise good luck!

This practice needs a do over when it comes to the front desk staff. Not friendly at all. Front desk receptionist has no manners. She didnt even acknowledge me when I walked in. Totally unprofessional. Receptionist desperately needs to attend classes on office etiquette. Waiting room music was too loud and dirty.

I agree with all the other bad reviews. Called to see if they took our insurance. The woman who answers the phone took all my information and said she would call me back the next day. Three days later I called her and she had no recollection of our conversation and was so rude. Moving on to a different dentist :(
