Well Im a little upset with that office. Dont get me wrong but I Love Dr.Skoney, he takes Good care of me. I have been his patient for at 3 years. Now I had my yearly appointment with Dr. Stoney February 1, 2016 and I spent a whopping $549. Well, I went on vacation and come back with something wrong with eyes, they were itching, burning really bad for 2 days before I decided to call Dr. Stoney office. So I just couldnt take it anymore and called and got an appointment the same day (today). I was very Thankful for the same day appointment but I was late due to an accident on the road I was traveling and had to be redirected. I called the office to inform them I would be late and was told it was okay as long as I was there in 10 minutes. I found out why I had to detour my usual route, it was because a man had stabbed his wife to death over here in Trussville. That accident was on the 5 pm news. Well, I finally get there and sign in and was told because I was seeing a specialist because I would have to pay $50. :-0 to my surprise I was Floored!! Well I thought I might would have to pay my regular co-pay but $50. ...... really..... why?????? This was the second time I have went to see Dr.Skoney outside of my yearly regular appointment. Now keep in mind I have been his patient for at least 3 years. I do know that all of their prices have went up phenomenally and probably every eye doctor. Well, I am spending money out of my medical spending account card and I spent almost half at this office. I still have an appointment with my dentist who has told me I needed a bridge or I can get an implant for the teeth Im missing. Now, Im not blaming Dr. Skoneys office for my problems. I felt like I was being penalized for having something wrong with my eyes. So, I had to make a choice 1. Suffer with my eye problem until it gets better or go ahead and leave cause I need every dime I can get for my dentist appointment. So........ I left with my eye burning, itching and could barely see out of the right eye. I was so distraught all I could do was cry in my car. I dont expect Big perks or anything but why did I have to pay more than my co-pay??????? :-(:-(:-(

I cant say enough about Eye Care Associates in Trussville. A friend recommended them to me, and Im so glad I took her advice. Dr. Wolfe and her staff are efficient but very thorough and professional. They dont waste my time but always take the time required to do a thorough exam and explain everything. Theyre also extremely pleasant, friendly, and accomodating -- Ive never had a bad experience there. Now my husband and daughter are patients as well, and I will continue to recommend Eye Care Associates in Trussville anytime I get the chance.

Great folks, all. Have been a patient/customer for ten years, and drive past numerous other optometrists to get there, but it is worth it. Dr. Skoney is highly skilled, but still personable, patient and attentive. All of the ladies who work with him are pleasant, helpful, and efficient. A visit to any doctor is not what we look forward to, but this office makes it as painless and pleasant as any I have experienced.

ALL of the folks at EyeCare Associates in Trussville are friendly, knowledgeable and patient-focused. Dr. Wolfe is absolutely great. While I could probably get glasses cheaper, I come back to ECA in Trussville YEAR after YEAR because of the great value and personal attention.
