Hands down best experience with an oral surgeon or any office in general. Im from Tucson (about an hour and 30 min away) and needed a rather intense jaw surgery to correct my bite. I looked at every office in southern Arizona and they either couldnt do the surgery or didnt take my insurance. I came here after reading reviews of how great everything was. I went in for my consultation with Dr. Andrew Ray and I immediately had a great feeling. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He understood the difficulty I was having trying to find the right place to trust the removal and reposition of my jaw. He made me feel like I was making the right decision. I was driving to see them almost every other week so we could set a date for surgery and I wouldnt trade it for anything. It was always a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere when being there. Everyone was always friendly and welcoming. Come time for surgery, they got everything taken care of for me. It was painless to get set up with the hospital because of them. Dr. Ray called me the day after I went home and almost every week for a solid 2 months to find out how I was doing, how everything was healing, making sure everything was going smoothly for me. Hes wonderful, caring and actually listened when I was having pain and didnt just write it off. I feel like you dont find that often at all. The staff and office manager, Marie were the most supportive and helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Marie has been checking on me for the last 8 months since my surgery. Shes been my go to contact for when it comes to my jaw or billing or literally anything. It really doesnt get any better than Dental Specialty Associates of Gilbert. I would recommend them a millions times over to anyone. In fact, my own Orthodontist sent patients their way after I got my surgery, because of what an incredible job Dr. Ray did. I love this place and all the people in it. Ill come back here for absolutely any dental needs and just to say hello. 50/10 would go back.

I feel so lucky to have found this place. Let me start by saying I was TERRIFIED to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was scared of sedation, I was scared of pain, I was scared of complications. From the moment I walked in the door the receptionist was so sweet ( I wish I remembered her name but all I remember was she was blonde and 7months pregnant haha) she was very personable and not only took the time to chat with me about topics other than dentistry ( like babies of course) but she did a great job of easing some of my anxiety. I was then brought to the room by my nurse who was also totally amazing. I dont remember her name either unfortunately, but she was blonde and very bubbly. She was also very personable, we talked about our pets and children and tattoos. And while she also did a great job of easing my fears and making sure all my questions were answered it was nice to have conversations with her that werent about my teeth because it helped take my mind off of it. I also felt like she was taking the time to get to know me and she cared. Dr lillien came in and was very confident and that was reassuring (not cocky or boastful, but confident) he placed my iv catheter with great skill therefore being very minimally uncomfortable. Last thing I remember was him talking about his dogs and asking if I was sleepy hahah. The rest of the day at home I was pain free. This is now day two, my face IS NOT swollen and I havent had to take any pain medications. They mentioned I had easy wisdom teeth to remove but I didnt think I was litteraly be feeling 100% the next day! I was so scared of having my wisdom teeth removed but dr lilliens skills have made this honestly the best dental experience I have ever had to go through. I would reccomend him to anyone! I never got a chance to thank you guys as I was leaving ( or maybe I did, I wouldnt remember honestly haha) but in case I didnt, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH AND YOU ROCK!

I want to thank you for your follow up last week in getting me a copy my "Patient Ledger" and fielding questions. Also, I appreciate you advising me to use option "1" on your phone system during normal business hours to get a live person rather than leaving a message. I want to extend my sincere appreciation for the dental treatment and customer service I received from Dr. Lilien. Dr. Lilien did an outstanding job with a very difficult and complex wisdom tooth extraction that had been impacted for more than 41 years. His surgical skills were remarkable and I suffered no nerve damage. Dr. Liliens surgical assistance, is totally amazing. Shes so caring and compassionate as demonstrated with her great listening skills. She takes the time to fully explain the surgical process and whats to be expected during the recovery period, including the possibility of a dry socket. Unfortunately I did experience a dry socket which can happen, however the customer service and follow up treatment I received was nothing short of outstanding! You understood the pain I was in and assisted by getting me a "rush" follow up appointment with Dr. Lilien at the Gilbert location this past Monday. Also, I want to thank Dr. Lilien for returning my "after hours call" on Sunday. After receiving the dry socket treatment Im feeling much better, with just mild discomfort and its thanks to all of you...Great job!!! I look forward to getting it repacked again tomorrow, so I can feel even better for this weekend. ~B.A.

I have been going to Dental Specialty Assoc. for about 5 years; ever since I moved to the area. Each experience has been better than the last. I see Dr. Berger on a regular basis and have the utmost faith in him and his abilities. He truly is a perfectionist and there is no better place for a perfectionist, especially where your smile is concerned. Sadly, I was born with great teeth but not very good gums and as a result need work done on a regular basis. I recently had an old bridge that needed to be replaced. Dr. Berger created the most beautiful bridge and now I get many compliments on my smile. Not only is Dr. Berger wonderful but his hygienist Sharon is truly amazing and Kayla that works in the front office is always helpful and a pleasure to deal with, she goes above and beyond to make each visit a pleasure. It is hard to explain to people just how great my dentist is and get them to give this office and Dr. Berger a try, I do all the time but this seems like it might be the best way. I can assure you, if you give Dental Specialty Assoc. and Dr. Berger a try, you will not be disappointed.

Very unprofessional office. Long wait to see Dr and short time spent with doctor. Actually suggested that my son could just schedule the wisdom tooth removal without a consult, which I thought was odd. Should have listened to my bells and whistles and found somewhere else to go. Estimate was incorrect becuase the office billed it under dental instead of medical (oral surgeon) . They billed me nearly $1000 over what my EOB stated I should have paid. When I called the office regarding the charge they did not seem surprised and said that the check would be sent at the end of the month. It has never arrived. I have spoken to several different people at the office and been given a different answer each time. I have asked on three separate occasions to speak with the billing or office manager, left messages for that person to return my call and not received any call back. Will keep trying to get my $ back and plan to involve my insurance provider.
