I have been handling and showing dogs for about 40 years now and I have yet to see a worse clinic! The vet reamed us out about our cat being too thin (all the cats in our house have access all day to dry food and they get fed wet food in the morning!). I wonder is this vet even knows that some cats are thinner in build than others? At the time of check in I thought about having the kittens nails trimmed, but after talking to the owner, my daughter, she didnt want them to mess with her nails. So I called the so-called "clinic" and said not to do the nails. Well I found out through a jerk at the front desk that he told me that on the paperwork that I signed their is a $5 charge to change anything. . . . no, there was not any such thing on the paperwork. I read it again just to make sure and when we picked up the kitten I asked the girl about such wording in the paperwork. She pulled out the original paperwork and nowhere could she find it, but was not willing to refund my money back! When she was saying what the extra charge was for she kept saying ". . . well we have to change everything in the paperwork and the back (? on the whiteboard, what the heck it takes a swipe of a rag . . . ?) like, well you know, um, um, " and my daughter said "like extra ink?" The look she gave my daughter, well lets just say if looks could kill! But she couldnt give any real reason, so I told her that they needed to get the guy at the front desk educated! Also that it wasnt fair to charge me for something that wasnt on the paperwork, even though I was told it was! And that I didnt appreciate being charged for nothing! They already soaked me for a female in heat (which she wasnt) and for a pain shot that lasted 3 days (which I wouldnt be surprised she didnt even get!). Just be careful of where you take your beloved pet to get anything done behind closed doors. Make sure all their care can be given with you in the room! You cant trust all vets (this vets license on the wall was expired!)

I left this place in tears! If you want a low cost clinic, it looks like the Spay Neuter Clinics in other Valley cities may be better. My rescue dog needed blood work because she needed to be spayed and have some masses removed. After waiting for more than an hour and a half, we finally got called in and saw Dr. Archuleta. Instead of listening to what I had to say, she instead immediately yelled at me saying I "needed to do something about this" and "it could be cancer, this is bad." WHY DO YOU THINK IM HERE? You have to get blood work before any procedures! She continued to ignore my questions and instead passed my pup around to the other training vets in the room like she was some freak show, saying "feel this." GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER FOR AN ALREADY VERY WORRIED PET OWNER, DOC! The vet techs kept taking my dog into the other rooms, without me knowing what was going on. Then the doctor said she couldnt help me and Id have to see someone else. Waste of time, but fine. BUT THEN when I came out to pay, Javier at the front desk said my bill was for the visit ($62 to be yelled at) AND for vaccines. I NEVER ASKED FOR MY PET TO BE VACCINATED! I had asked for the last time we visited when I got there (info he never even gave me) and he said he thought that meant go ahead with the shots. Then the doctor came out and again yelled at me and told me Id have to pay for them anyway. IS THIS SOME SORT OF SICK JOKE?? Seriously, Ive never been treated so poorly and left feeling violated and afraid. I WOULD NOT recommend visiting this clinic and would recommend paying a little extra to get your pets the care they deserve.

**********DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS CLINIC!!!!!!!************** My friend has had 3 female Chihuahuas fixed at the mesa clinic, and I have had one also female. Only one of hers has had two litters. Which happens to be the one with the most problems after seeing the so called Dr. Archuleta, she seems to still go into her heat cycles complete with drops of blood. Not to mention she seems to have a serious bladder problem since her surgery. My Chihuahua has never had puppies, and was just fixed in Sept. 2014. She does not seem to be spotting, but clearly is putting off the sent strongly and licking herself. Very bad odds to have TWO dogs in the same household (all 4 done at different times by Archuleta) to have had blotched surgery! I did go in to the clinic to talk to Archuleta about my friends dog with all the problems. And I just asked the question, "Is there some reason why she would be spotting and her mate going after her?" and about her bladder issue. Archuleta got very defensive right away and started yelling at me, HOW IT WAS NOT HER WORK THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM, and we could have her tested, which would cost $300 that i needed to pay up-front, and if the results came back as her fault then she would pay the $300 for the test. Which she guaranteed would not come back as her fault. Of course I DID NOT do this. IM NOT AN IDIOT! And the staff is extremely RUDE!

AWEFUL!! Ive used them for vaccinations for my dog simply because they are affordable. BUT not going to lie, they didnt fix my dogs hernia when they fixed her. I happened to move to Chandler by the time her hernia came back, so I took her to the one off of Alma School and Germann. Im back in Mesa area now, so I contacted the one on Southern and Gilbert for dental. I got a quote for $200~300. I turned around and contacted the Chandler one to find out that itll be $90~150. This guy who answered the call at Mesa office, was absolutely rude and said "why would you call us if you were going to the one in Chandler?" so I simply gave him that its cheaper at Chandler location. I had explained to him that it only costed me $80 before (with fixing the hernia they didnt fix but charged me for!!) Of course, he continues on "Was it with surgery? Well you should know that it was because of that! well we offer that price with surgery here too." So I explained to him that even without surgery its cheaper and gave him the quote. "Well you are very lucky! Have a nice day!" I could not believe how rude he was!! Rude, Rip off, Poor Surgeon

Dr Archuletta has taken over the Mesa Spay & Neuter Clinic and shes awesome!! She has done thousands of spays and neuters, has spent hours on doggies that were in heat or had birth deformities, to save them. She also donates time to rescues to help them out. I will always go back to her for any services she offers. I think Nail Clips are $7-$10?, HeartGuard tests are nominal fees, as are the HeartGuard pills (after the test, of course), and she even offers discounted fees on the shot packages. A caring and sensitive doctor, she also has several of her own doggies that she obviously adores. She always takes time to make sure the doggie or kitty is healthy enough to make it through the surgery safely (as much as she can), and is always kind, caring, and thoughtful to the animals she sees, to me, to other pet owners, to pet fosters (of which I am one), and pet rescues. The staff is always kind, courteous, professional, and willing to help in any way that they can. Thank you Dr Archuletta (& staff) for helping as much as you do!! Youre awesome!!! =)
