My dog had an emergency this past saturday. They close at 12 noon saturdays. Not only did they keep their doors open for my dog when we arrived 10 minutes til closing, but they took their time with him. I have yet to see if my dog will recover completely. His condition was rather severe when I took him in, but hes improving since brining him home. I first started going to this place because it was cost effective for me due to having a single income and owning 2 other rescue dogs. However, Ive received better quality care then other vets that I have paid more to see. I dont see myself going anywhere else (even if I win the lottery).

I found a couple of stray newborn kittens and was concerned for their health and needed a vet ASAP. This place popped up during my search and found it to be walk-in only which was really convenient. My overall experience was really positive. The staff was friendly and professional and treated the kittens very warmly and kindly. Dr. Farrington was also very helpful in treating the kittens. He was honest and straight forward with the diagnosis, and was very helpful in answering all my questions. Overall, it was a pleasant and positive experience. This clinic will be my go-to place if ever my pets are in need.

I LOVE the Vet, Dr. Farrington and the staff at Catalina Animal Hospital. I REALLY appreciate that they offer walk in appointments without the price gouge. I got my puppies shots there, but the vet is great with ALL my dogs and he always gives me a straight answer in regards to what they may need, he doesnt "upsell" me a bunch of tests I dont need. I have shopped around and tried various vets, and I am always SORRY when I go somewhere else (*cough* ... PalmGlen*) and I always end up coming back to Catalina Animal Hospital. Thank you for being one of the last GREAT vets in the business. ❤️

Weve been bringing our dogs here for years. Dr. Farrington took over the practice when Dr. Hunt left and he is simply amazing, truly one of the gentlest souls youll meet. His office staff are so kind and helpful and they are doing upgrades around the office to spruce it up. Its a walk-in basis only but the fact that he treats conservatively and you know you arent walking out paying for something you dont need is worth it. Hes very affordable and takes the time to explain everything. We wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Thanks, Dr. F.!

I love this vet. Ive been a loyal customer for years. Very direct with fair prices. I now live 40 minutes away and still make the drive. The staff may seem non-traditional at first, but I think its because Dr. Hunt hires people without judging. In my experience, Dr. Hunt & the staff seem care more about treating your animal than treating the owners ego. Dr hunt found a rare diagnosis for my dog, and only charged the bare minimum when he discovered my dog would need weeks of daily treatment. Saved my dog and my finances. Wont go anywhere else.

I called to make an appointment for my 5 month old German Shepard that has his eyes and ears swollen. I told the person that answered the phone my dog started with his left eye swollen. Immediately he said its parvo not hearing the complete symptoms. I told him it wasnt parvo and that he wasnt vomiting or had diarrhea. I also told him he was eating and was completely normal other than the swelling. He insisted it was parvo. I will not be taking any of my pets there where they wont even take the time to give me a correct diagnosis.

After taking my dog to Glendale Animal Hospital, I followed up with this vet, turns out what the ER did was not what my poor pup needed! The Vet was so sympathetic and kind to my baby boy, he was in so much pain, and she handled him with such love and compasion, turns out he had a UTI, and she diagnosed it quite quickly. Also her prices just can not be beat! For the quality of care I feel my chihuahua recieved she is worth so very much more! Thank you soooo much Cortez Animal Hospital, you will be my permanent Vet for life!

We took our 8 week old Boston Mix puppy, Rhonda, to Catalina after she suffered a severe accident leaving her with her eye dislodging and needing to be removed. She was treated so beautifully and the fees were so much lower than what other hospitals wanted to charge. If it was not for Catalina we would have had to surrender her or have her put to sleep. We took our dog to Cortez. She was treated there from 12 until we put her down. The staff always knew Doc and greeted her by name. The whole staff was really caring and knowledgeable. When we had to put Doc down, the staff cried with us and offered support. I just got a new puppy and Im taking her right in to meet her newest friends. This old-school vet not only offers great customer service, professional assistance, and caring, they also have great prices and dont try to see you what you dont need.

My dog received excellent care! I am in the medical field and I was impressed with the staff and Dr. Farrington. My dog treatment was easy to understand because they took time to explain in detail. The clinic was neat and my dog loved! Fergulicious, my sassy English Bulldog, received water at the arrival, and she was comfortable with everyone! I am very satisfied with the care received! Dr. Farrington and his staff are wonderful. I drive 16 miles from my home for my beautiful Sofias veterinary care. They are so wonderful that, even though Sofia has had two surgeries already, she does not get nervous when we go to see her doctor. The staff are tender and kind. Dr. Farrington is very conscientious, knowledgeable and gentle. I would never think of going anywhere else, even though I drive by at least six veterinary facilities closer to my house.

I live in southern Phoenix, but Ive made the drive because of Dr. Hunts reasonable fees and good care he continues to give my pets. He and his staff are great, but they dont take appointments. Their office hours are 8am - 10am and 1pm - 5pm. If its not urgent, I would suggest going around 9am if you want to go in the morning or around 3pm if you prefer the afternoon to avoid a long wait.

I have been extremely happy with the level of care and knowledge and Dr. Farrington and his staff has provided. I have two elderly dogs and he is very patient in understanding their needs and has helped my 15 year old enjoy a better quality of life. You cant beat the years of experience he has to offer and the level of service he and his staff can offer.

I absolutely love this place. I appreciate the whole entire staff, Gizmo & Ellie definitely do too! We have been taking our babies here for years. My mother also brings all her animals here.
