The only reason i continued to use them was Sommer (the front desk manager) always made me feel comfortable. She explained the billing to me before i went in so i knew what i was going to be paying and could be prepared. Everytime i have had a billing issue or had to speak with them about it she was not there and everyone i have spoken with has been very rude. They cant be bothered to talk about pricing with you. The last time i had an issue, she was on vacation and due to my schedule it was difficult for me to contact during business hours and when i would attempt she had the day off. After speaking to a very nasty woman earlier this year i finally caught her on a day she was there and she explained the situation and we resolved it! She was an asset and to be honest the only one the front desk had. I earlier this month called and scheduled a cleaning, to be honest it would have been my first cleaning because i have had a history of horrible dentists as a child and had a serious fear of going to the dentist. Through my insurance i get 2 cleanings a year. So i guess i was a little naive to the procedure. Well i just got a bill for over $300. I was in a chair for 20 minutes max. The woman who did my cleaning i had a bad experience with the previous year when the numbing shot she had given me made me feel like acid was being poured on my eye as well as in my nose. It was so painful that i request to not receive it. But i didnt complain when i saw that it was her, and was in such good spirits that day i ignored her rudeness. She acts like she hates her job and the people she helps, or maybe she is holding a grudge for my complaint. After i was finished i went to the front desk to have a financial plan written out for my future work (caused by dentists from my childhood) and the woman at the desk was rude, even after Sommer told her to take good care of me. The work i needed to get done is going to cost close to $4000 and when asked i was informed i couldnt make payments. Not once did she explain to me that i would receive a bill, especially one of over $300 for a special cleaning i did not ask for. She said it was covered by insurance and i went home. I called shortly after my visit to speak with Sommer about my options for my future work and was rudely informed that she was no longer with them. I cant even bring myself to call them to complain because i dont feel like dealing with their attitude. So i will make whatever payments i can to square the bill, even though i do not agree with it and even if they dont take payments, and find a new dentist. I have already found 2 who charge less for what i need, take payments and have great referrals. The dentist at this location seemed nice enough, for the 5 minutes i spoke with him, but they just lost my business and i will no longer refer them. This is just one issue too many. Dont go there, the rudeness and random billinh is not worth it.

I use to like Dental Depot but I’m not so sure anymore. I went in for a teeth cleaning and when the new lady Dentist did her exam I was told I had a cavity where the composite veneer attaches to the tooth. We discussed options and I wanted to fill the cavity with composite and re-cover the tooth with a composite veneer. But when I was getting a price, the procedure had turned into a crown which, I questioned. She talked to the Dentist and came back and said there was no cavity and it was for aesthetic reason and the Dentist will not do it unless it’s done as a crown. Oh, so I have NO CHOICE on what is done to my teeth and there really is no cavity?? Again I questioned what was going on and was told she would call later with answers. No one called so I called and got the same thing, no cavity and to brighten the tooth I needed a crown. Oh, so no cavity then? I was then told all kinds of strange things about my tooth. My composite veneer was actually a filling for a cavity and that there was not much tooth left from drilling and sanding down to place the veneer. I told her that it’s not a filling, it’s a composite veneer and the tooth is only lightly scuffed up to attach it and not porcelain veneer where the tooth is sawed down to attach it. I had enough of defending my poor tooth and the dental work done on it and since I do not have a cavity like the Dentist said then there is no work needed and hung up. Not sure if I ever want to go back, I don’t like the feeling of someone trying to take advantage of me.

Took my son here to have a couple cavities filled on a Saturday since his normal dentist isnt a pediatric specialist. They declined to have the X rays sent from the previous dentist and assured me they were able to handle it over the phone. They performed a cleaning and took new X rays (both of which he just had a couple weeks before), then the doctor came in and told me my son would need to see a pediatric specialist because of his two cavities. When I protested the doctor told me that they could be filled there but that I would have to make another appointment since this was just a routine checkup. I was completely caught by surprise that they had no idea why I was there, were unable to do what I had asked in the appointment, and were now telling me to go see someone else after preforming the same work as my other dentist. I imagine I will get a bill for the cleaning and X rays since we are only covered to have them every 6 months. They will say anything to get you in the door for another cleaning, even having the nerve to ask what day in 6 months works well for his next appointment. Terrible waste of my time and money.

I went 5 times with 1 good, 2 alright and 2 of them being problematic. One of their dentists actually told me I had a growth under my tounge and must go see an oral surgeon... $120 later the oral surgeon told me to suggest that the Dentist needed a refresher course in school//// A friend was going there and every cavity turned into a Root canal. They are also 35 to 40% higher than independents. I dont care how pleasant you are or how cute the office is if Im not getting what I paid for. Had my teeth cleaned 3 weeks ago. No water Jet, almost no dental pick, but they sure wanted to sell me a deep cleaning at around $900.00. Bruce K. //// Phoenix
