Our pup has been sick for the past week with several trips to our regular vet that didnt seem to resolve her issue. Our regular vet is very good so I am not knocking them - Lexys symptoms seemed to change from day to day and our regular vet did everything they could based on the information they could observe & gather every time we took her there. Our regular vet then recommended we go to VetMedAZ and get an ultrasound done. Last Thursday we took her in and the vet tech did an immediate triage on her - we did have to wait to see the doctor but there were several dogs in worse shape that were there as well and I can understand the most serious cases should always be seen first (I would expect our pup to bump the line if her condition warranted it). Dr. Erney checked out Lexy and gave her some medicine for the night then recommended we come back Friday morning for the ultrasound. Friday morning we took her back and Dr. Bessemer did an ultrasound and found a blockage and then recommended an endoscopy, which Dr. Sluiter performed. Dr. Sluiter found a lot of foreign material in Lexys stomach which she removed. VetMedAz kept her until Friday evening for observation at which point we took Lexy home with her new medicine. Lexy is doing better this morning but probably has a few weeks to completely heal. We are very grateful to Dr. Erney, Dr. Bessemer, Dr. Sluiter, all of the vet techs and front desk staff that helped us with our pups recent illness. I highly recommend VetMedAz!

I had taken my cat Socks here for an ultrasound. The doctor and his assistants were great. Took the time to explain his diagnoses and were gentle with Socks. A week later, my little guy was in a lot of distress and it was time for him to leave us. Vetmed was great ! They have thought everything through and take all measures to make this sad day as painless as possible. They explained everything, then took Socks to another room to have an iv inserted. He came back wrapped in a paw print blanket. He had been lightly sedated as well. They gave me alone time with him and I was to call them back when I was ready. They put an extenson tubing on the iv so I could hug my little buddy as they stood back a couple feet administering the end of life medication. He fell asleep in my arms. You exit out a back door so you dont have to face people in the waiting room. They even made a paw print impression for me to take home. They were compassionate throughout the process and the cost does not put you in the poor house. I live over 30 miles from this place but they are well worth the drive. Thank you VETMED !

Cant say enough about the service and professionalism of the staff of VetMed! Cindy the LVM who greeted was everything you needed to greet you while you have a sick pet. She was kind and direct with out being condescending. She was incredibly sensitive and professional. Dr. Wessell the DVM was an absolute rock star! She talked with authority and kindness and never pressured to do anything unnecessary to try and raise the prices. Her professionalism and thoughtfulness shined through. The front desk staff was quick and kind to let you know what to do. The best part is they provide you a low end and high end estimate, based on what is needed and what could potentially be needed. Thank you VetMed for making Lola feel tons better!

Took my best friend there when he suffered a stroke after 17+ years of giving love and happiness. They had 5 critical come in the door before us, around 11pm. The staff was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, they were very caring and were extremely fast considering the line of patients. Gave me all the time I needed and all the comfort possible to my cat. They were great with the support and explanations, I couldnt have asked for more. Dr. Jill, I dont remember her last name, but she and the vet tech (sorry, I forget her name) were absolutely perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone, only downside was maybe the price. Cant put a price on your loved ones comfort tho, especially when most places are closed!

We took our puggle puppies here for an emergency visit on a Saturday. Great experience, the staff was very friendly and caring. Dr. Erney was awesome, she explained everything thoroughly and was very professional. We hope we dont have another pet emergency but will be back if we do!

I had to put my dog down last night. The staff was the best. Very very professional and show great care and kindness to my dog guido. I loved my dog so much and this was the hardest thing to do. Everyone at the hospital was great. Thank you staff.
