Worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. I had an appt scheduled at 2pm, I was asked to arrive 15 mins early as it was my first appt with this doctor. I had accidentally showed up at 10am thinking that was my appt time so I filled out all the new patient paperwork then. I left and returned at 1:50pm for my 2pm appt. when I got there I signed in on the sign in sheet at 1:50 and then waited till 2:35 to be called back by a nurse. We went over a few things and she took me into the room to wait for the doctor. He walked in with a nurse at 2:40, didnt make eye contact, shake my hand or exam me in any way shape or form. He asked what brought me in I told him I wanted to get on birth control. He said unless its the pill he doesnt prescribe it because" hes too lazy" but could refer me to his son who is an ob/gyn. He asked if I was on any medication I said yes, told him what it was and the milligrams and he said if you are happy with it then we wont change anything. And sent me on my way. That took 5 mins. I was out of the back room at 2:45pm. When I was getting my son and purse I noticed the open laptop on the counter that the nurse had been using so I took a look at it, it stated that I had been seen for 25 mins. Which was 20 mins from the truth. When I asked the nurse when she came back she said that was normal for them to put 25 mins, regardless of how long you were in there because they double and triple book appts. Some people might be wondering how I know the exact time... when you have a 16 month old and you are waiting that long you have a tendency to watch the clock a little bit more closely. I called my insurance and filed a grievance report because I dont think its right to be billed for more than I received. The sent him my grievance and his response was "at my visit on 12/22/14, he spent more than five minutes with me, including review of your medications with a one month follow-up. He stated he spent time reviewing various birth control options. Dr. Zimmerman stated that he explained that he does not insert IUDs, but would refer you to an OB-GYN doctor for this" That is taken word for word from the grievance response I got from my insurance. The thing is, I NEVER asked ANYTHING about an IUD, I have never and will never use one...He has the worst bed side manner of any doctor/nurse I have ever dealt with in all my years. Not to mention hes as old as dirt and just hands out medication like its candy. STAY AWAY

Do NOT go to this dr. the first time i went to Dr. Zimmerman i was pregnant with my second child. i went in for every check up and never met the dr. i always met with the nurse practitioner. well one day i went in for a check and the nurse practitioner decided it would be nice to let me know in the waiting room one of my tests came back positive for down syndrome in my son ( she was wrong my son was fine). i later came in for a bladder infection and still at this point i have yet to meet the dr. well the nurse practitioner gave me the wrong medicine not curing the infection. as time passed the infection got worse i kept calling to see the dr knowing some thing was wrong and they would either not return my calls or tell me to go to the emergency room. when i would got to the emergency room they would tell me im still pregnant and the baby was fine and send me on my way. finally when i was 21 weeks pregnant i was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance. what had happened is the untreated infection had killed the baby that night and i was going in to labor. when i got the hospital i met Dr. Zimmerman for the first time. i was in excruciating pain and the first thing he said to me was " WHY DIDNT YOU CALL ME!" and then proceed to break my water not telling me what was going on my mother who had just gotten to the hospital had to tell me my son tyler was dead. after giving birth to my son the dr asked if i would like them to just throw out his body or if i want to have them keep it so i can have a service for him. i only saw the dr one time after that in the hospital. when i got out of the hospital i started to suffer from what i didnt know at the time was post postpartum psychosis and post traumatic syndrome. my husband took me back to the dr thinking there was some thing wrong with me and to ask what we should do? his answer was i dont know its not my problem and gave me prosac which later i found out intensified my problem. i have never gone back and am completely fine after seeking the right professional help. PLEASE what ever you do dont got to this practice!!!

I had doctor Zimmerman through out my last 2 pregnancies, my first one in 2004 was fine, everything was great, but in 2005 for my second pregnancy he was awful! I never actually saw him... it was always a nurse practitioner, who by the way would always make excuses for him not being there, she would see me for about 10 min. and that was it. Well when I was in my 7 month I did not feel that great, I did not feel my sons movement much and I called SEVERAL times, left voicemails requesting a check up based on that well it took them about 2 weeks to schedule me in and when the NURSE PRACTITIONER saw me she said everything was fine.... on my next scheduled appointment I insisted on an ultrasound they did and it turned out my son was NOT GOOD! his heart rate was extremely low at that point I FINALLY SAW the doctor who stated I needed an emergency cesarian. I go in to the C-section with in minutes, after my son was born they did not give us any news on him for 3 hours. When they finally came to tell us they told us my son was very ill. My son did not make it. I SERIOUSLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO HIS PRACTICE! IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE DO!

I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF HAVING BOTH GENE AND DANIEL DELIVER MY BABIES. MY CHILDREN ARE NOT 19 AND 17 YEARS OF AGE. BOTH DOCTORS ARE WONDERFUL. WHILE GOING THROUGH MY PREGNANCY WITH MY OLDEST I WAS SO TIRED AND FELT I COULD NOT GO ANY FURTHER DR. GENE ZIMMERMAN TALKED TO ME AND COMFORTED ME LETTING ME KNOW EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE OKAY AND IT WAS. I ENDED UP HAVING A C SECTION BUT HE MADE SURE I WAS OKAY BEFORE AND AFTER. DAN DELIVERED MY 17 YEAR OLD HE WAS WONDERFUL AS WELL. I RECOMMEND BOTH OF THEM. IF I LIVED IN THE AREA I WOULD OF HAD MY DOCTOR GO TO THEM TO DELIVER MY GRANDSON. THEY ARE WONDERFUL DOCTORS WITH NOT ENOUGH CREDIT FOR WHAT THEY DO... THE JOB THEY DO IS VERY STRESSFUL AND YES PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE THEM ENOUGH CREDIT NOR RECOGNITION, THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN AND YES THEY AS WELL MAKE MISTAKES AS THE NEXT HUMAN DOES...
