Ive been going to Dr. Wong for several years to have my eyes examined and obtain a new prescription. He is a very centered soul, quiet and fast and friendly. I usually like to talk a lot though and when I try to engage him it is as if Im speaking with a monk (I know quite a few!), they listen with full attention but then tend not to get caught up in coversation, so I suppose he is able to focus (himself as well as me!) at the task at hand. He uses several machines that you put your chin in and have a computerized program check various parameters, and he also does quite a few manual measurements. Ive always been able to get an appointment within a day or two and have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes upon arriving for an appointment. And he takes most kinds of visual insurance such as VSP, etc. His office is right next to the Triple Rock Brewery on Shattuck in Berkeley.

Dr. Wong is great. Hes caring but efficient, hell always remember you, and hes always willing to listen to complaints about contacts and experiment to find the right kind to fit you, while making sure you dont bear too much financial burden. Great doctor! The staff here are wonderful too- sometimes I just pop by to ask them a favor, like copying out my scrip, and theyre always happy to help. A+ healthcare.

I love both the contacts and glasses I got here over the years and I appreciate the time and care they always take to make sure I am happy with my eyewear and in making the needed adjustments. I have been seen here by Dr. Wong and also someone taking his place when he wasnt in. Both times the visits were great. The office staff -- a gentleman-- was also super helpful in getting my new contacts as a rush order as I was leaving town.
