I would give it a negative star if they had it.. WHAT an arrogant, rude, unfriendly person.. I wont say DR... My daughter had an appointment and a gift card and she went to get her eyes checked and got new glasses, so she went up to him, he just looked at her, didnt smile, had ZERO personality, didnt say hello, was just a jerk, so she smiled at him, said hi, im so & so I have an appointment at 545pm, then he looked away, still no expression, threw up a clip board and continued on his paperwork without saying a damn thing, and she said, well do you want me to fill this out or something??? he still didnt say a word, I looked at him and loudly said, Well I guess so, and stared at him but he didnt acknowledge me either, we waited while he saw someone else, then it was her turn and she said oh I put your pen on the table and he walked away without acknowledging her, she went in and asked if I could go cause she felt very uncomfortable and ackward with him, she didnt like him at all, he has the personality of the floor I was standing on... then she came out, and my father was in a joking mood and obviously this person doesnt know what that means, he joked and said, so how blind is my granddaughter, and he didnt acknowledge him at all, he looked away, not looking at him once and my father cannot hear and reads lips, he looked away and said, with a grunt, she isnt blind.. like it killed him to say that... my dad looked at him and walked away, we left and she said, he was so rude, he interrupted me, he talked over me, he got exasperated with me, he was very impatient and he did not answer any of my questions, it was like I was a bother... HE WAS HORRIBLE... DO NOT GO TO HIM..... I asked the lady where the glasses are if there is another Optometrist and she said no, just him and I said, wow, thats too bad, cause he is an ASS..... she smiled I am sure she agreed.... I then posted it on my facebook and I cannot tell you how many people agreed they said he was a jerk, rude, arrogant, impatient, unfriendly and I am shocked that NOONE has taken the time to write a review on him... WHAT A JERK.... I wouldnt let him check my Dogs eyes.... I am now going to yelp him.. he shouldnt be there, COSTCO should not hire and continue to employ someone that is that miserable... terrible customer service COSTCO, I am disappointed...

Yes its true, Dr. Kamei doesnt smile much. He wont make small talk with you about the weather or tell you jokes. He takes his job very seriously and he will give you an accurate prescription and recommend contacts that should work well for you. If youre looking for a good optometrist, look no further. If youre looking for a clown to entertain you, go somewhere else.

Great prices and nice glasses frames! Although he never smiles, he does always give me very good prescriptions for glasses and contacts(have been going to get my prescription since 2006). He does his job nicely and... takes his job very seriously ;)
