Absolutely cannot say enough about this place. I have had the worst month with vets and been to three others in the past month (Bay Animal Hospital, Westchester Veterinary Hospital, and City of Angels) and was raped for literally thousands of dollars to get NO answers for what caused my American bulldogs rapid decline in health and death at nine years old only two weeks ago. Now, two weeks later...my cat (the surviving half of the bonded pair) has lost over 5 lbs and was alarmingly lethargic when I found El Segundo Animal Hospital and decided to try them. It was such a drastically different experience that what I experienced at the other vets. First of all, Dr. Strieber actually listened to me, which is such a breath of fresh air I cannot even begin. He noticed immediately how pale my cat Tommy was (which I had not noticed) and immediately took blood and did an in-house test. When he found that Tommy had only 14% red blood cell count, he had no choice but to refer us to City of Angels as they were the only facility open on Easter that had the correct type of siamese feline blood. Our experience there was nothing short of a nightmare...3k spent to have their vet tell me she was baffled as to what was causing the septic fluid in his abdomen and was obligated to do exploratory surgery that would have cost 7-10k more in addition to what I had already spent or he would die and then attitude when I wanted to take him home. Will review that horrible place separately... This morning after I brought Tommy home, Stacey from ESAH called me. She told me she and Dr. Streiber had followed up with City of Angels and when they heard how we were treated and what they charged us they were absolutely appalled. Not only did they say that they would never refer there again, but offered for me to bring Tommy in tomorrow and they would do the procedure that Tommy had needed at City of Angels but their crook vet wanted to charge me another grand for...and for a fraction of the price since I had been forced to spend so much at City of Angels and had literally drained my savings between the two pets illnesses. I was so amazed and grateful I was brought to tears after I hung up the phone. Stacey and Dr. Streiber were so caring and genuine...I had lost hope in finding a vet that was actually in it to help animals, and they completely restored that for me. I will update my review again after the procedure, but I am just so blown away by how great they are I had to get on right away and share my experience. God bless El Segundo Animal Hospital and all of their wonderful staff! Tommy, my cat, passed away as he went downhill so quickly surgery couldnt even be performed because his little body was so actively destroying his red blood cells he wouldnt even survive surgery. Dr. Streiber was a rock through the entire process. He understood my pain, especially since I lost two animals within three weeks of each other. He left me the most sincere, heartfelt message and it moved me to tears. I also received the most beautiful flowers on behalf of Dr. Streiber and the entire staff. It was beyond thoughtful and meant the world to me, especially in such a dark time. I will never forget their kindness, and if I ever am able to adopt another animal, I will only take him or her to El Segundo Animal Hospital.

I recently adopted a big yellow Lab from a rescue and took him to ESAH for his first check-up. Initial impression: convenient location, clean, very well-equipped facility with kind, friendly, professional staff. Dr. Streiber was open, knowledgeable, and great with my dog. I could tell the care here would be good. A week later, I returned to have my dogs pre-existing hernia repaired and the experience was even better. The staff allowed me to go into the back area where the surgical prepping would take place and I got to remain with my dog for 2 hours while they prepped him and other dogs for the days surgeries. I was able to observe the workflow and it was very apparent that the vet techs were happy in their jobs and very good at what they do. They obviously love the animals and took great care to be kind and gentle with them all. That made me happy as a dog Mom. The surgical suite I saw was state of the art. My dogs surgery went well and the staff called me the following day to check up on him. I am extremely happy with the care he received at ESAH and will continue to bring him there for all his care. Thank you!

Our Puppy fell out of our car, was knocked unconscious, and completely non-responsive. We thought he was dead already as we rushed him to the ESAH and were in complete panic and shock. Not only did they revive our little guy, they stabilized him and were even able to calm me down, (and I was in hysterics). Due to the quick thinking/ damage analysis and actions they were able to save my dogs life and after a little over a month he is almost back to 100%. They also referred us to a larger Vet hospital that could cater to our dogs needs around the clock and we were able to take him back home after 3 days of care. He was unable to walk for a over week and when I saw him get up and take his first steps on day 10 I burst into tears of joy. Now hes trotting at a good pace and able to go up and down the stairs with relative ease. I am so SOOO thankful to have my best friend back and with a good quality of life! My 10 year old Daughter even made cookies for the staff and delivered them with a heart felt gratitude. Thank you Dr. Strieber and staff!
