Diagnosed my baby who was barely 8yrs old with diabetes. The insulin & suringes came to about 200.00 dollars which I didnt have. I asked the vet there to refer me to some organization or something. He gave me a # to call. "Your put on a waiting list" if "You even qualify!" 3mon-1yr. "My Gizmo had to have 2 injections daily!!!" He was due for that 2nd one in just 3 hours. I was barely able to get the money an hour before the pharmacy closed. "THANK YOU GOD!" The prescription was for 3 months. So I was content My Gizmo would be ok? The health insurance plan I paid for at Banfield was good for about a year. The vet told me to bring Gizmo back in 2 weeks so they could check his levels. I live about 45mi out of Fresno. I came here and dropped Gizmo off like vet said. I was told to come back in 3-5hrs to pick him up. When I got there they told me that the dipstick test had to be sent to another lab and it would cost 80.00 "I told them that I didnt have it, so they told me he wasnt going to be tested then!" I was speechless" "in shock" to say the least!!!!! MY GIZMO DIED 3 MONTHS LATER!" HE WENT INTO A DIABETIC A COMA!" Due to low insulin levels!!!!! If I had known he wasnt getting enough "I WOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM MORE!:

Very unhappy and not satisfied with their doctors. My dog went in for a skin allergy they prescribed her medication (steroids) that not only did not cure her of her itchiness but made her pee all over the house, moody and lost a bunch of weight. Almost over 2 years of trying to treat her and lots of $$$$$ later we went for a second option at another vet and they told us the meds (steroids) she was the worst drug they can give her and could of potentially harmed her and since it did not treat her skin allergy at all it made it worst and now she has a secondary infection. My poor dog was been suffering for two years, they didnt know what was wrong with her, prescribed her meds that was harmful and lied to us saying that there was nothing else out there to help her. Awful place Do NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS!!!!

Because I didnt even get to see him or her. I was greeted by a rude assistant who expressed no willingness to help me. When I presented my coupon (which I had discussed with another assistant prior to this and got the okay), she denied what the other assistant had said and told me that I had basically read the coupon wrong. Instead of interpreting "one new pet per coupon" as meaning I could use two coupons for two pets (as per the first assistant), she used her uber close reading skills and told me this was incorrect, and it should be more like "one coupon per owner." Not only does this reflect badly this girl, but more importantly on Banfield for hiring such an indolent employee and for not owning up to its wording on official documents.

I like them the staff is nice Vet listens and gives answers. It may just be my Loki bc hes a chi that is very muscular but everytime he is in pain after his shots so bad to the poimt he wont move and doesnt want to be touched. This last time he literally layed down and was crying as soon as i got him back.

There are nice people at this location and they really seem to love the animals. The location is convenient inside the Petsmart.
