Really great facility. Vets here are quite knowledgeable (especially Dr. Hess and Dr. Cork). Dr. Malo is great as well. Staff are friendly and personable, treating me more like my neighbor than a customer as they genuinely inquire about my family or other pets when I bring one or the other in. My only complaint is the entire doctor staff take lunch for two hours, makes it a tad inconvenient if ya need to bring your pet in and notice its close to their lunch break. Another issue Ive had is sometimes you really need to push the doctor to investigate an issue. My dog was a stray and Im not an expert or anything, but when I was given the possibility that my dog might have diabetes I wanted it investigated. The doc downplayed the possibility and took the wait and see approach. I was fine with this, as the docs dont seem to be the type to rack up bills with every test under the sun, but my dog eventually had a diabetic siezure and an mergency visit to the clinic-which cost a lot more than a damn blood glucose test. Great docs here, but ya still need to be your pets advocate and keep a close eye on things. The doc isnt with your pet day in and out so they may miss things.

I brought in my puppy yesterday because she has Parvo. I told one of the ladies that I would be in the car since I cant wait inside with her (Yes, I told her the color and model of the car). She said "ok" and that they would go get me when it was my turn. I waited about 30 mins and came back in to see if they were ready for my pet. Some lady came out and was being rude. She said they were calling us but I told her that her employer knew where I was. She didnt care and told me to wait. Once we got a room, the vet spoke to me about our options. It seemed that it was all about money for him. My friend ended up texting me to see if I wanted to bring my pet to her Vet. I told the the vet at this place that I would go somewhere else, nicely. He said "ok" and opened the door. As soon as he opened the door he yelled, "Someone come in here and bleach down this room! They are going to another vet." All the customers heard what he said so it was awkward walking out. I understand that the room needed cleaning but he didnt have to yell it out so that everyone could hear. Id rather take my dog to Los Angeles where I know my pet will be treated right.

Ive had horrible experiences here. I took my dog about 1 year ago and had not had the chance to write a review. However, the doctor said he had to sedate my 55lb. dobie mix b/c he didnt want to put himself or his staff in danger. Keep in mind that all he had to check was her ear.. talk about being a veterinarian.. right?!?!? I mean hes supposed to have a way with dogs being that his profession deals with animals!!!!!! I ended up taking her to the Stanton Pet Hospital and the veterinarian there took care of my dogs ear problem all for a reasonable price, and without sedating her! Yet another horrible experience at the GG Dog & Cat Hospital: Today my other dog had to have an iv cathetra removed, they claimed to want her to stay the entire day to watch her, this was after she had been released from the emergency clinic and the veterinarian there had said she was fine, that all she needed was pain medication and to have the cathetra removed. In plain simple words Ive had horrible experiences here, the staff has attitude problems and their prices are not reasonable at all!

Great service and friendly staff! I do recommend some of the doctors there. The office is clean, and the staff will patiently take their time to answer all of your questions. Their management of paperwork is much better than some other places I have been to. Everything gets done in a timely manner, and they will keep you updated as to the progress of your pet. However, beware of the bait-and-switch tactic: Sometimes, theyll give you a price over the phone, but when you get there, its much more expensive! This was done to me twice. So, get the name of the person that quoted you. Also, another tactic that was done by a doctor to me (I forgot her name) added another service to one of my dogs without even asking me! Extra cash for her I guess. Overall, I do like and would recommend this place to my neighbors. Just beware of your pocket book. Some doctors are honest with pricing. But others can act like car mechanics. Sorry, Ill have to get the names of the good ones later.

Wonderful, understanding, and caring staff during a tuff situation. I first brought my 17+ year old cat that I had rescued when I was child here to be euthanized. After another vet literally refused, because he said "she still has some good years in her". Even though she was suffering pooping/throwing up blood, and they couldnt fix her or even figure out why. They just wanted to do more and more expensive test, Im pretty sure they were just taking advantage of my situation. And after all that when I took her to this vet and requested the test results and x-rays, for a second opinion before I put her down, they didnt even provide them. Needless to say I take both my cats here and this is my vet for life now! P.S. Im not going to name them because it might get this review removed, but if youre curious about the other vet just look through my other reviews.

I sent 2 puppies in suffering from Parvo disease. They were there 3 days under the docs care. The bill was over $2200 and both died after 3 days. I think the doc knew the dogs were dying but still had to cash in on it. Ive been there a few times. There are several doctors there and all were well spoken and seemed genuine but the tall senior doctor with white hair and glasses tended to overprescribe medications and testings and talk smoothly pretending that it is to your best interest (to serve his pocket). The girls up front are unsympathetic, robotic and business like. I dont know if theyre too busy, callous, or what but I didnt get a good vibe from them. Also, they have a giant dog lying in the reception area which can scare new customers bringing small puppies.

Ive been using GGDC hospital since 2002. They were fantastic over the years with my cat, who eventually died at age 20 in 2008. They were always upfront about costs and no over treating and always gave me all options. I chose what options I wanted. When I recued two dogs, one in 2011 and the other in 2012, I stayed with them. Again, they always treated my dogs well. This is a very popular vet hospital and the wait can be long. Ive never had a problem with the desk staff who work their butts off. The Vet Techs are also great. Ive read a bunch of negative reviews. Folks if you dont realize it, vet care is expensive. Get pet insurance. Also, Ive also never worried about my late cat or dogs staying overnight for care. In fact I still use the vet hospital whenever Im in town.
