My Dad was transferred from Little Company of Mary Hospital to Kindred Hospital in Gardena because they are the only transitional hospital in the South Bay specializing in wound care. I didnt know what to expect when I arrived but was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are a fully staffed hospital with an ICU, Respiratory Therapists on location 24/7, Attentive Skilled Nurses Assistants and an RN assigned to every patient 24/7, and Physicians making on the premises either all or a great deal of the time. My Dad had a private room with an a great wound care team who sat down and discussed our goals and objectives for his care and how long they thought it would take him to heal, etc. The wound care team there is spectacular. Because I was unable to get to the hospital during regular visiting hours, I was allowed to come after hours and stay as long as wanted and never had a problem parking right in front. They also have good security who are both friendly and attentive. My Dads case worker called to update me on my Dads progress either every 3 days or at least by the end of each week. After more than 30 days, they transferred him tot a skilled nursing facility and made sure he had everything he needed there. We love Nicole, one of the nurses there who saw to it my Dad got a private room and a remote control for the TV. Thanks Nicole. You are awesome! So overall, I have to say I had a very good experience with this hospital. Pam Gray ~Hermosa Beach

Most of the staff is very unprofessional, uncaring and slow to respond. For example my fathers code blue light was on and no one came for 10 to 15min, also gave him the wrong medication that was in his charts that he was allergic to and had to be rushed to the ICU among many other issues. I would not refer anyone to have there love ones at this facility at all.

My sister had to go up there because my cousin had been there as a result of a brain seizure about 3 weeks - No one had given her a bath !!!! Two weeks later shes back in the hospital because they released her too soon.
