My mom was transferred to St. Franks on January 2nd from PIH in Whittier, they transferred her at midnight, we went straight into a room on the 6th floor Mom couldnt sleep so her and I stayed up talking her nurse Irma I believe was nice, then the day nurse now its January 3rd came in she didnt seem to like being a nurse much was ok my had to have her bedding changed due to an accident so I walked out went down to the gift shop wasnt gone for more than 10min tops as I got off the elevator I hear someone yelling " heres the daughter, heres the daughter" then they rushed me to moms room and before I went in the ER doctor was yelling at me as was her primary doc "We dont knw what happened but your mother stopped breathing" I pushed my way in and was screaming for my mom to wake up telling her I was right there and I loved her: they rushed me out the er doc screamed at me " we need to know if you want us to intubate? I asked if if that would help her breath he said YES! so I said ok.... so they did then they had to transfer her to the 3rd floor ICU as they were taking her the ER doc again stops me and say we need to know now if your mom wants to be kept alive or DNR I said idk I pretty sure she doent want to be kept alive but id have to wait for my dad to answer that the doc said :" NO we need your answer NOW" 3rd floor hell, moms laying there her first nurse was emma I believe then the day nurse comes Carmen I think Not so nice, but not as rude as some of them I had run into, but still rude, now its Wednesday the 7th a new nurse is assigned to mom her name was Diane, the nurse supervisor, she yelled at my sister and I for talking and laught with my mom who was trying to pull the tube out that nurse ordered us out and we could not come back in until she said so, the the rains came we lost electricity 3 times and I was not going to have my mom lie there with her machine off cause the nurses are lazy so I snuck in and in the room next to my moms there was Diane holding onto this fragile old mans legs yelling at him and shoving him into the bed, I hard go on for about 3-5 min it seemed longer then she headed into moms room and was shocked to see me I shook my head and told her not to touch my mom shes fine! mom gets moved now to the 8th floor when we find out she caught e-coli because she hadnt been cleaned up properly from January the 3rd mom was released on the 9th sent home and passed away on the 14th. Yes The staff for the most part are nice then you have those nurses and doctors who believe they can treat sick helpless patience with such disrespect and evilness !!! I must say though Manny on the 3rd floor treated my mother with such kindness and care he should be an example to those of you who no longer want to help the ill!

MY DAUGHTER, JUST GAVE BIRTH TO A BABY GIRL TEN DAYS AGO. I WOULD LIKE TO WORN YOU ALL FIRST!!! IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT HAVNG YOUR BABY PRINCE OR PRINCESS HERE!!! THINK TWICE!!! FIRST OF ALL THE LADY WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF PUTTING IN MY DAUGHTER IV, DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE HELL SHE WAS DOING!!! SHE KEPT MISSING MY DAUGHTER VEINS & THERE WAS BLOOD SQUIRTING OUT EVERYWHERE!!! MY DAUGHTER SAYS THAT SHE CANT EVEN FEEL IN ONE OF HER FINGERS!!! OR ARM.THEY KEPT INSISTING THAT SHE HAVE THE EPERDAL DONE, BUT SHE SAID NO!!! SHE REMEMBERS WHAT I TOLD HER!!! & HOW MY BACK REALLY GOT MESSED UP!!! BECAUSE OF IT!!! & WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS IN LABOR, HER DAD WAS THERE FOR HER & HER BABY PRINCESS!!!THEY WERE SO DISORGANIZED, THAT THEY DIDNT​ HAVE A CLUE???? ON HOW TO RUN A HOSPITAL, THEY LOOKED LOSSED & CONFUSE.THEY TOLD MY DAUGHTER TO KEEP PUSHING & WHEN THE BABY WAS ALREADY COMING OUT!!! THEY TOLD HER TO STOP PUSHING !!! & SHE TOLD THEM THAT SHE CANT STOP PUSHING!!! THAT THEY NEED TO MAKE UP THERE MINDS!!! THE DOCTOR WASNT EVEN IN THE SAME ROOM, UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!! WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS FULLY DIALATED & THE BABY HEAD WAS ALREADY COMING OUT!!! & THEN HE CAME HE WAS YELLING AT ALL THE NURSES & HE WAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL!!! WHEN IT CAME TO CUTTING THE CORD, HE DIDNT EVEN ASK MY DAUGHTER DAD, IF HE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE HONOR OF CUTTING THE CORD!!! I KNOW DEEP DOWN INSIDE, THAT PROBABLY BOTHERED MY HUSBAND!!! & IM WAS SO ANGRY WHEN I FOUND OUT!!! I WAS AT HOME WATCHING MY LITTLE DAUGHTER & GRANDCHILDREN. THAT HOSPITAL REALLY SUCKS IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW!!! & TWICE THEY SAID THE BABY LOOK YELLOW & WANTED TO HER TO BE TESTED!!! & SHE WAS TESTED & EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH HER BABY GIRL, EVEN THE LADY WHO HAD RUN THE TEST, SAID, I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT NURSE IS TALKING ABOUT??? THE DOCTOR DIDNT EVEN CHECK ON MY DAUGHTER OR HER BABY GIRL, UNTIL THE LAST DAY!!! WHEN SHE WAS GETTING RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL, ANOTHER THING THEY TOLD MY DAUGHTER, THAT SHE WOULD BE GETTING RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL BETWEEN 9-12 & MY DAUGHTER DIDNT GET RELEASE UNTIL 7 AT NIGHT!!! BELIEVE ME HER DAD WAS HOT ALREADY & GAVE EVERYONE A PIECE OF HIS MIND & WHAT HE THOUGHT OF THEM!!! MY DAUGHTER SAYS SHE WILL NEVER EVER STEP INTO THAT HOSPITAL AGAIN!!! BELIEVE ME I DONT BLAME HER!!!

It shouldnt be a star, but in order for me to post my complaint I had to click on a star. July 2, 2016 went to ER for HELP and Relief from a cold I had for almost 2 weeks. My coughing was getting worst and had hard time swallowing water or food, fever, headache, chest pain. I sat in ER all night..had x-ray waiting for doctor to come and see me. when he finaaaalllllly! came he ask me "what was wrong with me and told the doctor what I was going through and doctor said; ok, I need to have a x-ray...I said really! you didnt see my x-ray before you came to see what was wrong with me? Then why did I have an x-ray when doctors dont look at it? Its all about making $$$ and pay BIG bucks received a bill $1,789.35 of nothing they do for me all night but a x-ray and prescription. The service stinks...ooops! Sorry, I am very disappointed with their services in ER. I went in to ER need of help and to relief with cold I had. Doctor gave me a prescription Ibuprofen 600 mg when I had told him I am taking Ibuprofen 800 mg...what does that tell us?...they dont care they just give us anything to get rid of us from ER. I requested to the nurse I need to see the doctor again..."their respond was hes busy with other patients." What the HECK? I am a patient too!!. Now, the nurse guy that was getting my prescription I told him to let the doctor know the Ibuprofen 600 mg. is less that what I have been taking for the pass two weeks, Now this nurse guy is giving me an attitude and did not want serve me and gave my prescription to another nurse to release me as well. I was in ER all night until 7am. I had to walk out quietly and I cannot believe the service they had given me. I dont know how they got the job to work at a hospital...maybe there related to one of the hospital board members or a staff. As we all know its who you know to be hired even if they dont have the experience, hospital need to be more professional in service to the community. Insurance deductible at work is very high cost and when we needed help in time of sickness please dont treat us like garbage. I hope St. Francis Board would consider our needs of help when we come to ER.
