I give all my appreciation and trust to this veterinarian office. I heard about this office through this yelp website and honestly I couldnt be happier with my decision. I was in distress and didnt know what else to do or where else to take my dog. My Siberian husky was immobilized and I took him to my original vets office, but I was so confused with the information the vet was providing. Therefore, I decided to get a second opinion, but I already had spent a lot and I couldnt afford another visit fee. I called this office and right away the gentleman on the phone was very caring and answered the questions I had. I brought my dog in and when the doctor examined my dog; he was careful and gentle toward my dog so he wouldnt torment him anymore than what he already was. My dog is an aggressive dog and he did show aggression, even though he wasnt able to move, I did notice he was much more at ease than any other clinic I had taken him before. When he explained the possible condition he was very defined and informative. At last, the doctor provided us with different options with estimates, which were very decent; unfortunately we made the decision to let him go. The process of letting go of a beloved family member was one thing my family and I havent experienced and the doctor reassured us of the process step by step. During the process, the doctor and staff were very accommodating and consoling. They were very respectful and for that I give my full gratitude from the front desk staff to the doctors, as well as technicians. I felt like I brought my old fella to the right place and he knew it as well. Thanks to them hes in a better place. Thank you and may your office continue to assist others with your amazing work and compassion.

If you are new to Long Beach and your new vet is as important to you as the lease you signed where you live, you just might take our word for it and give the PCAH first chance to be your new vet. You wont go wrong. [I take that back. You could go WAAAAAAAY WRONG if you try Banfield first like we did. Banfield & PCAH -- night and day. The former is a nightmare --false advertising with offers of free exams, piling on expensive treatments and tests of what "had" to be done, no warnings about side effects from vaccines, misdiagnosing a small cut for an auto- immune disease and creating a "charge more and more"factory as if to meet a $$$$$$ quota. (They had the friggin nerve to print out on 13 ! sheets of paper listing what they did and did not do that fateful visit. 13 sheets printed half of a page each and on only one side. Garbage.] On the other hand, PCAH is friendly, informative, helpful with how best to avoid (if possible) spending $$ unnecessarily, caring with our girls and understanding and respecting how important they are to us. The girl at the front desk in the evening (open until 10PM!) with the green hair could not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. Weve been there maybe total of 5 times in the past 3 months and we still feel the same way about them. Thats important to Ava, Simone, Bill and me. Maybe it is to you too. ( ps: The PCAH made missing Kim and all our friends at the VCA Brentwood Pet Clinic a whole lot less painful)

I was just on hold for 15 minutes, at which time I was told that they have an emergency and cannot answer the phones...? I understand that there are emergencies, but shouldnt there be more than one person that can handle calls and help with emergencies? I worked for 7 years in Animal Hospitals and never had anything like this happen with calls not being able to be answered. On a different note (and why they are getting 3 stars) is the Dr. we saw for my sisters cat was good and followed up the next day with lab results and options for treatment. I was actually trying to call him back to discuss some of these options, but to no avail. I will try later, but this kind of customer service issue is not acceptable and I couldnt help but give them a rating in my frustration. >: ( Was on hold off and on for the next hour...up to 10 minutes at a time before I would try calling back. Then they couldnt hear me and hung up. I tried again and they could hear me if they switched to another line...(this may be a problem with our internet, benefit of the doubt) I did get a message through and hopefully will hear from the Vet soon... Super frustrating experience.

We followed Dr. Jacobo from our old vet in Torrance, and are we glad we did! We have 3 cats, 17, 4, and less than a year. They saw us during an emergency with the old lady cat no problem, no appointment, just care! She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 6 months ago by the awesome vet and we were scared she was having a reaction to her medication! She was having a hard time breathing, they took her in and treated her right away! Didnt even know cats could get pnuemonia! Our 4yr old boy was diagnosed with Epilepsy by Dr Jacobo, he was the only one who would help us try to figure out what was wrong with our boy! Hes been seizure free for 3 years now and its a happy playful boy! Our newest baby will be going in for a spay and microchip this week! Love the TLC of all the staff! Great prices! I recommend this practice 100%!

Professional and friendly staff. Clean facility, good service, prices are not very high. The reason that I am giving four stars is because they charge a fee for a follow up check up to see if the treatment is working. I dont feel that after spending quite a bit of money in taking care of our babies we still have to pay another fee to find out whether the treatment that we have already paid for is working or not. I have had babies for many years and this is the first time that I have to pay for a follow up visit. Other clinics do not charge this additional fee. I feel that we are double paying for a consultation.

The Drs are nice but they have grown too fast. When picking up a animal (this happened 3 times, different animals) the person brought the medicine and animal offered no directions, ,just here you go, bye. One night I was in there and the front desk girl was very unpleasant to me and other patrons. The prices have gone up, they are too busy and I saw 4 different Drs for the same animal and each Dr gave different instructions on what to do with my animal and why he was sick..after all that he ended up in hospital for 3 days. After my experience I never went back....

Took our female cat in because of a UTI. I expected it to cost $300+, it was around $150 including food and urinalysis. Dr was great and the front end staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. This Vet was recommended to us by the LASPCA on Spring St. The facility is clean and modern, no weird smells or building distress. I made an appointment and we were in within a few minutes. We really appreciated that they actually stick to appointment schedules, with everybody being so busy nowadays. Highly recommend this vet to take care of your furry family members.
