They are in it for the money! My little mixed breed female dog had a fox tail in her ear and I was broke. It was a Friday and I didnt get paid until Monday. Daisy would cry every time she shook her head and she couldnt STOP shaking her head because of the pain. The lady behind the desk specifically quoted me a price. I asked her three times and she stated the same price. She clearly and heartlessly assured me they would do nothing unless i had cash or I signed up for some kind of dog health care/credit service for which i didnt qualify. So we endured the weekend, Daisy and I, and on Monday when I received my check, I took Daisy back. Note that they wouldnt take the $250 check from my employer, however they took Daisy right on in. Later that day after cashing my check, keeping back the amount quoted to me on Friday, and paying my other financial obligations for that pay period, I returned for my dog. When I pulled out my money to pay, the last behind the desk (different lady than on Friday) handed me an invoice that was substantiality more than was quoted to me on Friday. She said they dont make quotes and expected me to just pull the rest of the money out of thin air. Now if I had been TOLD the correct amount in the first place, I would have had the extra money. However, living pay check to pay check, I had already taken care of my other obligations and thus only had the amount I had been quoted. After lengthy failed attempts at jumping through their hoops, and a few choice words, they took my money and returned my dog. I was out the door with the famous last words, "..... and dont come back!" trailing after me. As if I ever would..... These people cater to the local "well to do" crowd and are there for financial profit, not to "care for your animals like they would their own.". I would never let my dog go two extra days in excruciating pain for a God Almighty dollar; would you? So if you have a handy amount of unlimited cash to unload and you dont have to " rob Peter to pay Paul," then by all means be my guest. However if your funds are limited, find another vet, cause they will watch your animal die before they will lift a finger to help you or your animal. They are in it for the profit. If you have money they will happily help you out of it. If you dont, they will happily watch your animal suffer.

The ladies at Shenandoah Clinic, are first class, caring people, who go out of their way to make sure your pet gets top care. I have been bringing my dog there for four years, and I have never seen more professional, more caring people. Recently, I had to have my dog put down, after 19 years. They were so caring, and helpful, I regret that there are only five stars, they deserve ten! I would trust them completely with any animal.

These women are great! They are smart, efficient, friendly, and they really seem to care about my dog. The vet is a good diagnostician- she figured out things the other vets didnt pick up. Their fees are much less than the last vet I went to. These people do not push tons of unnecessary expensive stuff on me- they just take very good care of my dog. I like them a lot and will continue to take my animals here.
