I wish I had had the same experience as some of the other reviewers, but unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere after my dog was rough handled during a blood draw and sent home with a compression bandage around her neck and bruised body from the experience. If you own a senior toy breed dog you may want to think twice before using these services, or use caution if they want to have your pet undergo multiple testing procedures at one time. The stress my senior dog underwent was terrible and her recovery has been slow. Im so sad; Country Oaks used to be the one of the best pet hospitals in town. Update: I just received a call from Lisa at CO disputing my comments and argued that my dog was NOT rough handled, squarely placing the blame on the dog for resisting. SERIOUSLY? I get it that everyone has a bad day and a missed needle stick is unfortunate, but I think CO has clearly missed the point, my dog was hurt while in their care and at the very least an apology would have been the appropriate response .

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable when I brought my puppy in for the first time. He didnt even notice he was getting vaccines and temperature taken because of all the attention and cheese he was getting! Im grateful I found this clinic when I did. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly too. I also love that this is a privately and locally owned clinic, compared to corporation clinics, which dont seem to care as much about quality of care. I will definitely be a regular visitor to this clinic for years!

Country Oaks will be the only place I take my dogs to in the Sacramento area. You can see how much they care for animals and the well-being of your pet from the moment you walk in the door. Im always greeted with smiles and kind words, and my dogs are always greeted with the utmost care, and are always rewarded with treats and toys. The staff is awesome, and once the construction is finished the location itself will match the level of service provided - Phenomenal!

called to get pricing lady who answered the phone was short and Rude. I asked her how much for a visit and puppy shot she said 40.00 for a shot and 49.00 for an office visit. WHAT!!!! that is higher then every vet I called when I shopped around. I politely told her WOW that is higher then every vet I have spoken to. she chomped on whatever she was eating and was like OH YEA IS THAT RIGHT! wth??? I said thank you have a good day she bye and hung up. mmmmmm

Ive brought my dog here for over the past year and its been a great experience! The staff are very warm in welcoming you and your pet, and the wait to see the Doctor is not long. The support /administrative staff show the pets so much respect, interest and warmth. Its exciting to watch the new center being built...its going to shine on Fair Oaks Boulevard. Great staff, very friendly, caring and helpful. This is the third vet office I have been to since June 2017 and I will not be looking any further for a place to care for my animals now that I found Country Oaks. They dont push extra or unnecessary tests, treatments or extra visits on you and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend checking them out if you need a veterinarian.

Love Dr. Johnson and his staff! I have trusted them for years with my three dogs (and 2 kitties who have passed) I followed them from EDH to their new location and couldnt be happier. Dr. Johnson has been our veterinarian since we moved up to the Sacramento area back in 2001. We couldnt be happier with the care with receive for kitties Oliver and Sassy and how compassionate he and the rest of the staff was when we had to put our dear Taylor to sleep at almost 19 years old.
