This Place is a Joke! Peeps if you love your family DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS HOSPITAL! DANGER I live in Modesto they violated my fathers right as a patient he requested multiple times a person that could speak his language and they denied him that. He was admitted for more than a week each time i would request a update they said he was okay and he would be out in a few days! but every two days my dad would call me that they would not answer his call or when he needed help they just ignored him. their was a situation that my Dad need his oxygen mask to breath. after 15 minutes of clicking the nurses button he called my mom cell phone then my mom called me in Modesto so i can call the nurses station to let them know what was going on!. Its a joke! After so many attempts to get the right answers i requested to speak to his doctor guy didnt call me nor did they give him the message. DR.kong. He then was moved to the ICU unit i asked the doctor what was his condition and they said he is fine we just need to keep a eye on him. I feared for my dads safety so i drove from Modesto to Tulare that night! i spent the night with my dad in the ICU UNIT that same night at around 3 am i heard a huge thump on the ground i woke me up from my dead sleep that is how loud it was no nurse was in the ICU UNIT STATION! after ten minutes i got up and walked to see what was that noise. It was a lady that had fallen from her bed and had machines on her head and no nurse had seen here or answered here call! i ran outside the ICU UNIT DOORS AND GRABED THE FIRST PERSON I SAW! IT TOOK THEM 10 MORE MINUTES TO HELP HER UP WHAT A JOKE OF A HOSPITAL! THE FALLOWING NIGHT MY DAD PASSED AWAY HE WAS MURDERED NOT KNOWING WHAT HE WAS BEING GIVEN! PLEASE FOR MY DADS SAKE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES TO THIS HOSPITAL PLEASE FOR YOUR SAFTY TAKE THEM TO VISALIA INSTEAD! ONE STAR IN ORDER TO LEAVE A COMMENT THEY SHOULD PUT MINUS STARS TOO.

I was born premature at 7 months in 1986. I finally asked my mom today why my younger brother was born in Fresno, but we lived in Tulare. My parents came to the US as refugees from the war. English was a second language and it was a struggle to survive and be accepted by society here. The story of my birth: My mom went in to the hospital in Tulare because she was going into early labor. The doctor Came by, took a look, and gave the nurse a small phamplet/booklet. The nurse handed it to my mom and said to sign it. She asked what it was and the nurse just said to sign it. She refused and the nurse finally said that it was a waiver for a c-section. My parents talked about it and decided they were not going to go through with surgery. The doctor did not explain why it was needed. My parents understood that I was coming early, but had no clue why I surgery was needed. The doctor became agitated and barged in saying that if they dont sign the form for a c-section, the baby will die. They had heard that this doctor who handled many Hmong births conducted c-sections often. However, they did not feel comfortable with it and refused again. He left and hollered at the nurse to drag my mom into the delivery room. By that time, the nurse informed the doctor that I was about to come out and eventually I was born. I had some complications and was sent to valley childrens up in fresno/madera. After I was sent off, my mom was loaded with IV for days non-stop. She swelled up and all the doctor said was that she needed to stay for another week. She became worried and feared she be put on IV for the rest of that week if she stayed. She got out of bed and stayed in the reception room all day until they decided to make her sign a form that if she left, they were not liable. She left and I was sent home the same time. And that is why my mom decided to have my brother in fresno the next year.

Unfortuntately you have to assign at least one star to post the review. I would not have put a star otherwise. I had the worst intake experience here after a motor vehicle accident. The intake staff were rude when we arrived, impatient, and unprofessional. As I was wheeled up to the ER receptionists desk she rolled her eyes and in an unprofessional tone began to give my sister attitude because I elected not to be transported by ambulance. I was made to wait in pain in the lobby. Next the triage nurse was abrupt in taking down my symptoms he was impatient with my recounting and threatened more invasive procedures when i responded I was unsure I was able to do what he asked. The nurse doing my intake got in my sisters face and refused to allow her access to be by my side after I had to return because they missed lacerations from the accident. The facilities were run down and haphazard. The waiting room for the ER was unable to accommodate more than 10 maybe 12 people. The bed they moved me to to examine my laceration was crammed against a wall. the curtain did not close and staff walked past frequently. I had to ask for more privacy due to the location of the laceration and the nurse had to use a trash can to secure the curtain. It was single handedly the worst hospital experience I have ever had. I would never return to that hospital! If you have a choice go some where else!!!!!!

The emergency room is way to small, the wait time was ridiculously long, there staff has no clue how to use the weight scale (they weighed my child 20 lbs more then the actual weight), the emergency room doctor was good but was a little rude & spoke a little inappropriately in front of my child (doctors should speak straight to the parent not the child), the only thing that was nice about this visit was the nurse who made both me & my child comfortable & she was also very good with giving shots & being very patient, but then came more of a down turn when they also took 2 different copies of my insurance (one at the front desk & 1 while we were in the room) & even though they took copies they failed to run my insurance & just straight out keep billing me (I have good full coverage insurance & dont pay out of pocket) so after a long 3 days of a phone tag run around with the emergency & billing department, I had to call my insurance to have them deal with them. Well see in 45 days if the billing department did there part or not. I definitely wont be back here again & definitely wont deal with the billing department since the lady was very rude (Ill just leave it to my insurance to handle them!)

Terrible billing department tried to extort money from me. They didnt bill me until a year later. Since they didnt do their job accordingly, they knew that my health insurance would not reimburse them because they failed to bill my insurance. Knowing that they wont get reimburse, they then tried to put me on the hook for paying the entire balance. This department specifically didnt do their job right and now they are shifting the blame on me. Poor costumer service lead by Sandra (the manager). She was so rude and continuously talked over me. She didnt want to answer my questions and eventually hung up. All other personnel shine away from picking up my calls. Absolutely poor costumer service and professionalism. I wouldnt recommend care from this facility.
