Beware, emergency room doctors at Ventura Co. Hospitals may not be contracted with your insurance coverage. At 2:30 a.m. on a Sunday my wife had to go to the ER for an eye problem, threatening her vision in the eyes. The Dr. treated her after a long wait and sent us to eye specialist. Later on I received a bill for nearly double what Anthem Blue Cross approved. Turns out the ER doctors may not be contracted with any insurance plan, and that allows them to charge what ever they wish. I have fought this for months...and now I will start a campaign with our legislators. This is not right, especially in an emergency situation at 2:30 a.m. on a Sunday!

I unfortunately had to work today and was not able to make it to my wifes doctor appointment. Today was the ultrasound for our new baby! She immediately called me after her visit with Matt. Matt was rude, he didnt even print off a picture after she asked him to! I am sorry but what the hell isnt that the NORMAL???? He wouldnt say anything to her while performing the ultrasound, NOT A WORD. my wifes exact words to me when I got home from work was " I feel robbed of my experience." I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. I will also call and leave a bad review after I leave this.

worst service EVER ! I had to come back to radiology to pick up my records and the lady at the desk had a blank stare the whole time and had no idea what was going on eventhough I explained it to her multiple times.. when she finally understood she decided to argue with me about how I wasnt clear. So I asked her again if I could just have the 2 cds of my abdominal ultrasound. she persisted in arguing so I finally said all I want is the cds ! finally she filled out the paperwork! I will NEVER be coming here again!

the nurse who attended me couldnt even place an iv correctly and the nurse who drew my blood out for analysis didnt do it right either so the lab technician had to do it for her. They had me in observation for an entire day and they still couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. I was on the verge of dehydration but the nurses wouldnt refill my iv because "the doctor had only ordered one" so I sent my boyfriend to get me a gatorade. So unless you are ready to die you are better off going to ventura or oxnard

Upon entering, the triage just to the left of the door will ask what youre there for and give you an appropriate wristband, so everyone inside has a band that identifies them as a patient or visitor. She took me right over to the radiology department so I wouldnt get lost. Its not a very big hospital, so it wasnt a far walk. Radiology does walk ins until 4:30 pm. There wasnt a long wait, and the x-ray tech, Don, had been doing this job for 45 years. Everybody was very nice, and it was a good experience.

Horrible, horrible, horrible place to have to go in an emergency!!! The nurses are rude, the Doctor was cold, rude & even condescending with me. I had to go back again 3 days later due to spams from my original fall. I was in so much pain I could not move an inch without crying. They left me in the waiting room area having to lay down on chairs puts together by my son instead of giving me a bed!! The rude doctor was a young female asian doctor. I dont remember her name but you dont want her!!

My 4 year old had his tonsils & adenoids removed there today. He awoke scared & out of sorts. The nurse told him to stop acting like a brat. The lack of compassion & empathy is horrible. Recovery room was terrifying & frusterating for my son & I. I wouldnt dare recomend it to my worse enemy. Horrible lack of professionalism & lack of compassion.

I have COPD & went in.on a Saturday morning. I was taken straight back. My nurse was super sweet & efficient. The Dr I had was friendly, knowledgeable & even discussed which medications would be better for me with me, and allowed me to help decide what to prescribe. Thanks. K

I dont recommend Santa Paula Hospital to any patients. Unprofessional nurses and very, very rude towards patients families. Irrelevant questions, sarcastic remarks and unprofound phone actions.. As a government facility in Ventura County, this is by far the worst hospital!
