Dont even think of going here! Its supposed to be UCLA and Accupuncture and delivered by an M.D. Dr. Taw. The only thing Dr. Taw does is talk to you for 5 minutes each time you come by and give you this tiny shot of Lidocaine (which I really didnt even need but it pumps up the bill by $100 each time. The accupuncture never did a thing for me and I went for 7 weeks straight. They told me it was accupuncture was accumulative so I needed to go at least 6 weeks to see any improvement. I figured maybe I needed just that one more to have something happen but no, it was a total waste of time and money. And the billing......OMG they are so screwed up with their billing dept.. First, they billed the insurance company an insane amount for their services. WAY more than my regular M.D. would even have the nerve to ask! Make a long story short, the insurance company paid for most of it because we have excellent coverage and then they billed me for the remainder. I went ahead and paid the entire bill in full. Now month after month they keep billing me for the exact same things Ive already paid for. When I called, the response was that the amount I paid went to another area. When I asked where it went they just say well, that s just the way we bill...........ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????? So now Im waiting for the supervisor to call back. Like I said........dont even think about it. Id rate it 0 if there was such a rating.

UCLA Medical Center is considered a hospital for their fees. Beware! I was very excited to find a local endocrinologist at UCLA Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. I waited two months to see the doctor only to find out that she had left the practice and I was seeing another doctor. When I arrived, I was happy to see a receptionist that worked at my primary physicians office in the past. She assured me that they take my insurance and there would be no problem. Very shortly after my visit I received my explanation of benefits and I saw that the doctor received three times the amount that I normally pay for an office visit; then one week later I saw an exorbitant amount billed for blood work which was five times the normal amount. Through conversations with their billing office it was pointed out that all doctors are hospital doctors and they get hospital doctor fees, and that the blood work is considered an out patient service. Over $750 for an office visit. Please let Thousand Oaks residents know they are paying hospital rates when they visit UCLA Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.

I went in for a physical in January. I gave them my insurance card, informing them that I had a new "Obamacare" plan and that my physical was free. They verified my insurance, I saw the doctor, and they have been trying to collect money from me ever since. First they tried to get $650 from me and now they are trying to get $405 from me. They verified my insurance, I told them it was free they decided not to take Covered California - apparently after my visit but before they billed me and are illegally trying to collect on care that was free when it was rendered! Outrageous! Now the office manager is "in meetings all day" when I call, so Im doing what I have to in order to straighten this out. The Medical Board and Insurance Commission are next on my list. Oh, and my doctor NEVER calls me back, no matter how many messages I leave or even if I say its regarding my medications. She was a great doctor before she went back to UCLA.

My first time visit with Dr Heitmann was by far an unacceptable experience. As a new patient I would expect to have left the office with all my questions answered. My actual time spend with the doctor was 20 minutes. I had another question I forgot to ask about and asked the nurse if she would be back in after he finished a blood pressure test on me. He said he didnt know but would let her know I was waiting. 20 minutes later she came in and I said I have one quick question and her reply to me was ( our time today is over and youll have to follow up in 2 weeks). This is unacceptable and left me feeling like I was not very important and that I couldnt expect in the future that she really would make ample time for me or her patients. Especially on a first time visit where a relationship is being established.

Dr Michelle Emi of UCLA Westlake VIllage is absolutely the most unprofessional, disrespectful doctor I have encountered. She has no respect for her patients time and many of us have to wait over one hour - and over one and a half hours in 2 of my visits. She appears to want more income because she schedules far too many patients to be seen in the time she allocates.. Her office uses a Call Center, so after you wait on hold for 10 minutes, you get someone who has no idea what is going on in the office - whether it be scheduling or billing. You then have to wait on hold again while the Call Center finds someone from the office to deal with you. They also have made mistakes in scheduling and billing.

This was my first visit to a UCLA Medical Center and was very impressed with my new doctor, Dr. Heitmann, and the personalized service by all of the staff. This is a busy place, meaning there are lots of patients coming and going, but that did not stop the doctor from taking the time to talk to me, thoroughly understand my situation, and take the appropriate steps from there. I am also impressed with the follow-through and responsiveness of the staff and particularly the doctors medical assistant.

Dr. Valle of the OBGYN section of the UCLA Health is a phenomenal doctor. I am dealing with some very upsetting medical issues and she had been there to support me the entire way. She and her staff made me feel very comfortable and cared about. I dont dread going to the doctor anymore. The staff is bubbly, helpful, kind, and punctual. Will stay here and keep her as my doctor as long as i can. xoxo

This place has MAJOR billing problems. My wife and I went in 2015, but will not be returning, as we dont have time to play referee between UCLAs billing mistakes and our insurance company. And $600 for an annual physical for a 45 minute office visit without labs? Shameful.

Dr. Pimstone is excellent--listens, truly wants to help. When specialists are needed, Ive gotten them and the specialists Ive seen have been far better than those in my previous medical group.
