My husband and I HIGHLY recommend West Hills Animal Hospital to everyone who truly loves and cares about their pets. Dr Moussa and Dr Lawson have been taking excellent care of our precious cat, Allie, for the past several years. Both doctors are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They are both very gentle, caring, compassionate, dedicated, honest, and understanding. Both Dr Moussa and Dr Lawson take time to answer all of our millions of questions. It is quite obvious that both doctors LOVE animals and are very dedicated to caring for animals. The receptionists and technicians are also very respectful, caring, understanding, and hard working. Our cat, Allie, became ill last August. Jessica made a quick appointment for Allie to see Dr Moussa. Dr Moussa examined Allie, diagnosed her with congestive heart failure, and did everything she could do to ensure that Allie would have an excellent quality of life. She gave Allie an extra 8 good months with us. Dr Moussa, Dr Lawson, and the wonderful staff at West Hills Animal Hospital took excellent care of Allie (and my husband and me) during that 8 months. They were caring, compassionate, honest, and supportive. I cannot say enough good words about everyone and the care that Allie received from them. Finally, we had to make that AWFUL decision to have Allie put to sleep. As we were saying our goodbyes to our sweet baby, Allie, I looked at Dr Moussa, and she was actually crying along with us. She called me a few days later to see how my husband and I were doing. We received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a beautiful “angel cat” pin from West Hills Hospital. Eventually, we will get another pet. We will most definitely go back to the wonderful doctors and staff at West Hills Animal Hospital.

We took our dog there today because he was sluggish and panting heavy. Turns out he has bladder stones and they said we needed emergency surgery. They mentioned access and vsv for places we can take him. My gf asked them to call McClave because her family has been taking pets there for 15+ years. They probably never called and told her to go to access or vsv. vsv quoted us 4800 to 6900 for the surgery. So now we are comtemplating putting our dog to sleep because of the exorbitant fees they quoted. At vsv they were trying to rush my gf into paying the low quote so as to not incur higher fees for emergency hours. Paying the lower quote didnt mean thats all we would have owed. Never ever ever take your pet to vsv unless its life and death and no one else will see you. McClave quoted us 1700 to 2800. It seems criminal and its very unsettling for vsv to charge 3 to 4 thousand dollars more. Needless to say Im very unhappy with west hills animal hospital. It seems like might be getting referral bonuses or kick backs from vsv because we asked another hospital to be called and they never spoke to her about it again. I guess taking advantage of people and sending them places where they can be completely ripped off is acceptable by your clinic. How do you people sleep at night? Oh yeah you drive your luxury car home and get in your very comfortable expensive bed... Whichever reviewer mentioned used car salesperson, we wholeheartedly agree. Be careful they will prey on you because of your love for your pet. I wish there was an option for 0 stars because they dont even deserve one.

I love this vet. Ive been bringing my dogs here since I moved from Illinois. I see more bad reviews than I expected so even though I hardly review I thought they deserved a good one. West Hills animal hospital has done so much for the health of my dogs. When I first moved here my dog had horrible allergies. He was starting to bald and his skin was inflamed. Our vet back in IL had done an allergy test but all that did was tell us what he was allergic to (which included human dander!) At West hills animal hospital they taught us about an injection that can help with his allergies. We took their advice and Otis has been allergy symptom free for a year now with no more needed injections. I adopted a senior a few years ago and whah did everything they could for her without pressuring expensive services. They understood that, while she may have benefited slightly from more expensive treatment (tumor removal, tooth removal, etc.) We didnt have the finances for more than keeping her comfy and happy. I adopted another big balding demodex infected baby a year ago and whah helped me nurse him back to his perfect healthy happy self. I love this vet and will miss bringing my babies here. Thanks everyone at whah!

I have been a client of WHAH for over 5 years and have taken numerous pets to them. I have always been impressed with not only the level of compassion from the entire staff, but their level of knowledge too. I have a cat that is quite old and in the early stages of kidney failure. The taught me, even though I am quite squeamish to give fluids under the skin and to watch for behavior that may mean my cat is in trouble. I really trust the vets there and I never feel that they are only in it for the money. I couldnt imagine going to anyone other than Dr. Lawson or Dr. Moussa. The entire staff, and I have had experiences with them all over the years, are really nice to me. It also seems that the staff stay for long periods of time. I have seen the same receptionist and techs there for as long as Ive been a client. And their new website is TERRIFIC!!! I love that I can log on to make an appointment instead of calling on the phone. As far as Im concerned...they really have what it takes to be great!!!

We took our dog in for eye infection. The Doctor started telling us that there are so many problems with this dogs. She named so many issues and at the end said before I can tell anything about the eye infection I need to measure her eye pressure to make sure she is not developing glaucoma. Then she left the room and after more than 20 minutes, a secretary came in to go over the bill and tried to sell us an "Annual Wellness Plan" which was not going to cover that days bill. The annual premium was for $1200 and basically covered 2 office visits per year plus vaccination and flea medication. If any other problem arises, there will be extra charge. Needless to mention that this plan has been developed by West Hills Animal Clinic. They refused to give our dog any medication for eye infection until they had the opportunity to make several tests. We paid the office visit and left, and for sure will not go back to this place.

I have been there many times and been happy. Today, I was especially happy and wanted to leave a review today. My dog has been sneezing since yesterdays walk. She was in a foxtail area and I suspected that she might have one in her sinus/nasal area. I took her to an emergency vet on Ventura Blvd. because I didnt realize that West Hills Animal Hospital was open on Saturdays. The vet on Ventura Blvd. wanted to charge me $1525 to put my dog out and scope her nose. WHills Animal Hospital charged me only $500 and did the job promptly. My dog did have a foxtail and they gave it to me to prove it. Also, she's not sneezing. My dog also had one in her ear. The other place didnt even check her ear. I am SO VERY GLAD that they were open. They did a GREAT JOB. I have used them before and will use them again. I recommend them highly.
