I had my son take my dog in because I thought she had a sticker in her paw she was limping and had a ear infection. I received a call at work from the doctor saying he was pretty sure my dog had BONE CANCER! I thought OMG!! NO..... He said they went ahead and took X-Rays and i did not look good... I was crying and I said how much do I owe you he said one moment and put a lady on the phone she said $598.00 I was like what! But I paid over the phone and my son was able to leave with my dog! I then was told at a discount...They would do a bone Biopsy $650.00 More and a test for Valley fever $300.00 All came out Negative!!! I was happy at first but my dog was not walking again after a few days so called and I was told I would be better off going somewhere else! SO $1,548.OO In two weeks with NO ANSWER!!! No I would not go there again!

Oak Park Veterinary Hospital is the perfect family practice of loved pets. Kind, calm, skilled, wise, professional, experienced, patient, knowlegable ... repeat the kindness! Dr. Cole has a quiet competence, excellent judgement, and the perfect tone and bedside manner in caring for our "pup to old age and over rainbow bridge" grand old black labrador. He was pitch perfect, from the pure joys of a healthy puppy to the sad journey of cancer with a beloved old dog. Dr. Broussard was wonderful as well. We kept coming back long after we moved from oak park--i think there was a peacefulness at this practice that kept me emotionally together during the tough times because our lab meant so very much to our family. If your heart must break, best it be after you and your pet have experienced the wonderful care of Dr. Cole

OK for the routine visits and preventive health, but if your dog has to have surgery - DO NOT GO HERE. My dog had a tumor on his paw removed at this office, and as a result he developed a nasty foot infection as a result of their improper care. We brought him in one day for a follow-up and re-bandaging and he was deemed recovering well, and then THAT NIGHT the infection came on. When questioning the doctor at another follow-up visit about what happened, he blatantly did not answer my questions let alone make eye contact. It was decided after this appointment, that after 15 years of making this office our place of everything-pets, that we were taking our dogs elsewhere.

Drs Cole and Broussard have been our vets since right after they opened in 1994. Their service has been exemplary, and their staff is professional, pleasant and we are VERY pleased with the service and relationship that we have developed over the years. The doctors are excellent about calling about follow-up care, and reporting test results. We could not be happier, and feel fortunate to have such professional, caring veterinary services so close and convenient to our home. God Bless Dr. Cole, Dr. Broussard and their staff...they are AWESOME people who know their stuff.

I had been going elsewhere for many years and my vet was a friend also. She retired and referred me to Oak Park Vet. I had a wonderful experience, as did my dog. I was pleasantly surprised as I was not happy about having to change vets. The front desk staff were very helpful and when we came in they made my dog feel like she was playing to get her in the back. Both doctors were extremely pleasant and conservative with the treatment, though able to guide me appropriately.

Really like and trust both the doctors. You can tell that they love animals which is a bonus as first time dog owners! The staff is very helpful and seem to really care about our dog. Great with emergency care as well, we had a very scary situation where our dog got to a bottle of our sons medicine. They listened to us and were honest about what they could do. They took great care of him. I highly recommend them.
