When I had my initial appointment I was told I would need to return in a week for my contact fitting...no problem! The doctor fitted me with new contacts then said whoops, we (I) forgot to dilate your eyes. No biggie, lets do it on your follow up appointment....again, no problem! I pay for my appointment, frames, lenses, etc. and return the next week. When I go to check out I know I shouldnt owe anything because I had paid at my previous appointment for the contact lens exam and thus current fitting. They tried to charge me for the dilation. I explained that my insurance covers that procedure and I paid the week before. I was told that is only covered if you do it on the day of your original exam, now it is out of pocket. so I told them, re-file this with my insurance, we are both in agreement that this is covered, I already paid for my exam last week, and its not my fault the doctor was incompetent and didnt complete the exam procedures and had to complete it at this follow-up. They insisted I pay out of pocket. So I am charged for THEIR incompetence. I am also not convinced they didnt do this on purpose to make more money off of me. DO NOT GO TO VISIONWORKS!!!

Just picked up my glasses today was super excited, that lasted 5 min, when I put them on everything was a blur (they are progressive) I was told you have to get use them give it 2 weeks Im like I cant see nothing, but ok I was thinking there progressive) something new to me, so i tried my second pair which are single lens sunglasses they were even worse, i see Better without them, I tried to explain to them that something was wrong, but they insisted I wait till morning and try again, well I left, got home looked at My prescription and wouldnt you know that it is 2 different prescriptions for each pair of glasses, now please explain why my regular glasses have od -0.50 os -0.75 prescription but my sunglasses have od +0.75 os +0.50, am I to assume that my vision switches between near and farsighted by simply putting sunglasses on, along with my right and left eye swapping strength in lenses, I am nearsighted by the way, so sunglasses are for driving guess what, I can see my speedometer but beyond that nothing, one big blurry world, why because Im nearsighted, so again please explain to me, if I am wrong then I will re star my review

I would recommend staying very far from this particular location. The staff is rude and unorganized. No one seemed to really know what they were doing or what was going on. The doctor was terrible and not thorough at all. I do not even think that she did my eye exam correctly. I ve been seeing an optometrist for the last 21 years and never has an exam been this short. So my one free eye exam through my insurance for the year was wasted on this. Not to mention I have to go back in a week for them to make sure the contacts are fitting properly and I can see clearly out of them or I will not be allowed to order contacts or glasses. I argued the fact that I have been wearing this particular brand of contacts for the last 6 years and the same prescription for the last 2 years, but apparently thats not good enough proof that the same brand, size an strength will work out this week. ??????? When I asked the staff the doctors name, it took 3 of them to figure it out. Absolutely ridiculous.

This a horrible place. First and foremost they are understaffed, I went there on a Thursday afternoon, there were three other people waiting for one associate, I ended up having to wait an hour to even get notice. After I placed my order for sunglasses I had to wait 10 days. But as it turned out I would need to wait longer because the frames I sent were "bad" or something and they would need to order new ones off back order. When I tried to get a satisfactory resolution to this problem the management did not seem to care, so I canceled my order and got my money back from these people, then I went a couple stores over to Lenscrafters. Had a pair of sunglasses in under an hour. Take my advice and stay away from Vision works at all costs!

I went in to have my glasses adjusted, which they do it for free.I am not sure if it because its free this lady decided to to treat me like this? But she didnt pop out my lenses and put it directly to the heat.so some of the anti glare came off. She brought it back and it was so bent I feel like I was in a fish bowl.I told her it didnt feel right.my lenses were pressed on my eyeballs.I handed them back to her anticipating her to fix it but instead she proceeds to wipe off my glasses and handed them back.I told her they were too angled and she just says "Well I had to angle them so they fit your face better."After that I was done,I went elsewhere to Target get it fixed.

Wow I never thought I would write a review but yes my husband switched jobs and we went back to this place and it is still super slow to serve you. We went in and they said two weeks to get his lenses. They came in and he schedule an appt to get them put in his glasses. We dropped off the glasses and they never said hello to us for 5 mins. Then they said they would call when they were done. We stopped in at noon just to check and the machine was down and they couldnt fit them until monday. Why didnt they call us back we need the glasses to see. Now we have to wait a full week to go back in cause of work. This place is terribble

no appt. necessary, but went their twice didnt get any service coz they are book. Made an appt. but waited another half hour because they have to help somebody before with the same time appt. we have. But we came first, I had to asked when we were being seen. Then the buy one get one free, it is bull. I was quoted for more than four hundred dollars for one pair of glasses, if not I have to pay 800 for two? Because the other pair is free so I have to pay more than four hunfred for one pair. And the glasses only worth 129.99 for a pair. And those techs. never smile at all. Like they doing you a favor to give them business.

Last week I went to Americas Best, as I have for over 10 years now. When I walked in, I began to fill out my normal paperwork. Come to find out, they do not take my current insurance. I immediately start making phone calls and Vision Works answered. Not only did they get me in immediately without an appointment, but were completely understanding of my urgency. The staff knocked out of the park with being professional and friendly, and the Doctor made a stressful situation turn into a delight. I highly recommend Vision Works off of Academy as their staff makes a great experience!
