We took our cockatoo to Lantana to have a broken blood feather treated. The feather came out on its own when we took her out of her carrier and we didnt realize it until the vet had her secured in a towel. Instead of inspecting her first, the vet just started pulling healthy, growing blood feathers. I had to stop him or he may have pulled every one of them out. He then decided on his own that he would trim her nails without asking me. She screamed, terrified, through the whole procedure. I ASKED for a service he could not render (the removal of a broken feather which had fallen out without issue before he got into the room) and was charged $82 anyway. Please take your birds to Wincrest. They specialize in exotics and my cockatoo doesnt scream when they work with her. It may be a few extra dollars, but it is worth it. Your bird doesnt HAVE to be afraid of a vet. The difference is like night and day

Being a first time pet owner, the idea of going to a vet is completely terrifying. Online forums said that going in for a check up for a bearded dragon would be somewhere around $300, which is completely unreasonable as a college student. Not only was the checkup affordable, the staff was very respectful and kind! I did not feel like I was being judged for being a young owner. They really and truly only want what is best for you and your animal. My usually skittish beardie has been a sweetheart after the tips they gave me! Theres a reason why there are so many patient files in the background of this picture.

Lantana Vet Center is the best place I have found to care for my personal as well as rescue animals....the staff there are professional and knowledgeable not to mention loving and dedicated......Dr. Long is by far the best in orthopedic surgeries I have ever seen....I held out little hope for poor Shia who suffered a hip injury years ago but was apparently never treated....she could barely walk....here is a picture of her now all prancing around and playing and looking beautiful.....this place rocks!

Lantana Vet has cared for my Lhasa who was a very temperamental animal (if she didnt trust you; you knew) yet every visit there she was cared for dearly. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, loving and warm. Regrettably my Lhasa passed; but I have since brought my cats to them and recommend the practice to all of my friends and family.

Paid $636.48 for cat . Given antibiotic and steroids. The cat was dead within a month.
